I didn’t like anything, we reserved our car for 8am, and 10am we were still waiting for them to bring a car from another location. Not only did we miss our flight from DC they gave us a car that was like $28 more per day and expected me to pay the difference which I couldn’t afford. You guys ruined everything and even made us arrive a day late for our vacation. When you’re on dialysis traveling can be extremely hectic & you guys made it ten times more difficult for a single mother trying to go on a trip.Cons:
Only book the cars that you have, we wasted so much time waiting on a economy sized car only to be hit with a 2 door Camero from another lot that we couldn’t afford. You seriously ruined my 1st solo vacation with my kids, nothing went as planned after we didn’t have a car to get to the airport. I seriously can’t think of any way it could’ve gotten worse. I rented a intermediate car and they gave me a compact. It didn’t have cruise control and the seat was very uncomfortable. I asked the guy about why I paid for an intermediate size car and got a compact and he lied and told me the car he rented me was intermediate.2,0 Poor

Had to book off airport location as airport didn’t have cars. Uber’d to location and there were 5+ customers without cars- they said that vehicles were overbooked by at least 20 for the day and that they couldn’t do anything about it. The lack of effort to remedy the situation was terrible. Ended up going to a low rate provider that had cars available. Their car was terrible, but they actually had customer service.10,0 Wonderful

I pre-paid, because the ad said that it would create a quicker pick up. When I got to Hertz, the gentleman was working with another person. He kept leaving the room to ask someone a question. You could hear several people in the next room talking and laughing, but no one came out to help the gentleman. When he finally got to me, he informed me that I would have to go to another location ( about 20 minutes away) to get the car I reserved.(Glad I wasn't dropped off the pick up the car!) The reservation was not transferred, so there was more waiting once I got to the next place. All in all, it took me 2+ hours to pick up the car. I found that rather frustrating, as you can imagine. I was VERY late arriving at my destination.Avis

I arrived to pickup my car only to find none were available. The agents onsite were not customer service oriented. DId not offer suggestions or help with finding another rental agency. I did however go to the Avis rental agency at theRichmond Airport and they were very professional and accommodating.4,8 Mediocre

I booked a luxury vehicle; they "didn't have any," and "upgraded" me without asking to a Nissan Pathfinder, which cost me much more in NYC parking garage fees, and much more in gas over my 1,000 mile trip, and was difficult to negotiate on crowded NYC streets. Plus,for the formal event I was attending, I wanted a luxury vehicle, not an SUV. When I explained all of that, the customer service person said "so you don't want a car?" And that was that. I was billed for fuel (twice) while having returned the car with full tank, and had that corrected after a long discussion on the phone and at the drop off. A person receiving the car at your IAD location was extremely rude and inconsiderate. He should not be working for Avis.Budget

The staff at the original budget rental we went to had poor customer service and was not friendly. After consulting many other rental car places, I was able to find one that could give us a car but it was not within the budget or the car that we requested.Cons:

My only real complaint is that I requested a Toyota Corolla (or similar) with the intention of getting a rental that was not a gas guzzler, since we would be traveling a long distance. Instead we received a Dodge Journey and had to fill up the tank multiple more times than we should have had to in a smaller car that I requested.10,0 Wonderful
