Cons:
We rented an SUV and when we got there to pick it up all they had was a tiny car left so we traveled from Michigan all the way to key west with 2 adults a teen and a 5yr old in an itty bitty car but it was Saturday and nothing else was open to rent something different and I had already paid for our hotels so I couldn't change the dates either10,0 Wonderful

Pros:
Very friendly service. We had rented an Economy and got a free upgrade. Our service person was extremely helpful. When returning the car, we were at the Secretary of State's office and running a little behind our drop off time. We called and talk to them and they were very understanding. He told us to bring it in when we were done as long as it wasn't past a certain time.Hertz

His attempt to make me happy.Cons:
No One at the desk when I went to pick up the car. I had to call the person who was suppose to be there. Then was told I couldn't get the car for an another hour. Why make reservation times if THEY don't honor them.2,0 Poor

Showed up at Hertz after a 25 mile drive to get to that location for a 9am reservation when they opened. They had ZERO cars available for at least 2 days. They were completely out of stock on cars that day and the next. Had to keep driving to find an Avis to rent from. I had a reservation for a car that didn’t exist.8,4 Very Good

The only thing I didn't like was the employee that helped me with the return didn't explain the final charges correctly, but other than that, it was a great experience.10,0 Wonderful

They could have had a car. And then they told me because they didn't have a car and I'd paid already, they said they weren't going to refund my money. Never got a car from them. Will never use them and guy running place was not professional or knowledgeable.6,0 Okay

Staff was ok and the pick-up process was fast.Cons:
I was a little put off at the casual attitude when I mentioned the tire pressure was low and that I had to take time to go have air put in two of the tires. The car was also out of windshield washer fluid and being winter in Michigan, I couldn't see a thing until I went and washed the windshield every time I drove. It was a huge inconvenience while traveling but there wasn't even a "sorry about that" when I returned the car. I didn't expect a discount or special treatment but was just looking for a little more kindness in the customer service.7,6 Good

The lady who unfortunately had to denie us our rental.Cons:
The whole process. The credit check with no actual criteria as to why you’re denied. The credit card I was suppose to use didn’t come in as expected. I planned to use my debit card. Had plenty of money for any holds they may have needed. Nope now they do a soft credit check and cannot tell why you were denied. I have decent credit. Never have a problem getting approved. Unless I want to rent a car. This was never explained so I was without a car and had to use my personal vehicle since it was a Saturday. Will never use budget again. Disappointed that kayak wouldn’t better protect their customer either.9,2 Wonderful

But the attendant was bright cheerful and efficient. the parking area to retrieve the rental was not well marked and as it was a dark parking ramp hard to see if the car had any defects. Just really thankful there was a rental in Battle Creek!Car hire locations in or near Marshall
