Do NOT rent from Sixt In OSLO! I think they may be running a scam. We rented a car from the Oslo airport. I took extensive photos before we left the lot. Used the car to drive down to a summer cabin and then a few times a week for groceries. Returned it in exactly the same condition we received it in. There was no person to return the car to. Just had to pull into a space and then drop keys in a drop box. Then we flew home. A few days later we received an email saying that there was a small crack in the windshield and they are going to charge us more than $1,000! We have no way to see the car in person to know if they are making up the damage because we are home in America. They sent a close up photo of a crack, but there is no way to tell what car it is attached to, or whether the photo has been doctored. I know that the windshield didn't crack while I was driving the car. I just don't know whether or not the damage is made up or if someone damaged the car in the lot after we dropped it off. I suggested that they review the footage from the parking lot security cameras, and they replied "The camera system at OSL is not detailed enough to spot damages on the front windscreen." Presumably it would be detailed enough to show whether someone approached the car to damage the windshield. I rent a car every year when we travel to Norway to see family, but will never use this company again.
