Upon arrival, found out we received a free upgrade due to no 'economy' cars being on the lot. Perfect! Ross, our agent, was very friendly, asked if we had any questions or concerns & even got my husband to put the extra 'insurance' on the car just in case. Very friendly & fast service for sure!Cons:

Cons:
Kayak reserved an unlimited mileage on a Premium vehicle. We called ahead to find out Enterprise in Tyler doesn't even lease Premium level and not at the unlimited mileage anyway. Enterprise has a business model to tell you what you want to hear and then you get there and they don't have what they tell. Happened to us and another customer while we were there.9,6 Wonderful

Price was very good for a holiday weekend. Compact car, but very roomy. Very happy with the car in every respect.Cons:
The young man who assisted us at pickup seemed brusque and unfriendly at first, but warmed up later. The young woman who helped us with our return was swamped with returns--there should have been someone to help her. (She did say her help had just quit that day.) She, herself, did great! She was cheerful and calm with all of us even though there were lots of people waiting to be helped and more came in as others left.2,0 Poor

Pros:
Longview staff excellent and helpful, car was in terrible mechanical shape, and left driver stranded alone on a dark stormy highway for hours, undriveable. No roadside assistance given. Later, car locked itself while running with keys in ignition, locksmith finally found by a relative, car unlocked and driver charged $120...These issues happened in the Leesville area, over the weekend, and the Leesville office refused to help her. She ended up having to pay 544.00 for repairs to the rental in order to be able to drive safely back to Texas.Cons:

The staff at the longview location was great. Very nice.Cons:
The longview location is dirty and off putting. Will never rent from there again. The car itself was just ok. We used it for a cross country road trip and it was pretty uncomfortable. We found a precious passengers lease agreement in the glove box, so not a very thorough clean. The fees that Hertz charges is absurd. I typically use Enterprise but Hertz was cheaper for this specific trip. Won’t make that mistake again. Too many hidden fees. $6.95 per toll fee on top of the toll itself....Enterprise charges no extra fee. $9.99 per gallon for gas is absurd. Enterprise something like $3 per gallon.
