Loved the vehicle, which was a 2018 VW Atlas SE V6 with 4Motion. Was supposed to be a minivan (Dodge Grand Caravan, ugh), but lucky for us, the minivan hadn't been cleaned, so they offered us the Atlas (a premium 3-row SUV) or a Chevy Suburban (even bigger) for the same price. I took the Atlas since I've been considering buying one, and a 3-day test drive sounded perfect! The vehicle was very clean, very spacious, and except for my wife, who has back problems, was very comfortable.Cons:
The check-in and pick-up process was a bit disorganized, but overall everything went pretty well. Parking the vehicle upon return was tough, as there were cars lining the driveway and finding someplace to park the Atlas (not a small vehicle) proved challenging. Luckily, I found a spot that wasn't blocking anything (too much).9,6 Wonderful

I used Kayak to find the car we needed and then dealt directly with my local Enterprise facility to finalize things. This worked perfectly. We got a beautiful new car for our weekend trip. This could not have gone any smoother. All 5 of us were completely comfortable.2,0 Poor

I wasn't able to actually rent my reserved car from Enterprise because they have a policy that doesn't appear anywhere in the reservation process that only holders of an in-state driver's license can rent a car using a debit card. Are they not aware that many people who rent cars are doing so in a state they don't live in?10,0 Wonderful

I went to pick up my car and was told that because I didn’t order the rental through them they couldn’t make any promises to getting me into a car. Then they told me they were completely booked out of cars. There hasn’t been any communication that my reservation wouldn’t be able to be fulfilled so I didn’t even have the chance to line up a booking elsewhere.10,0 Wonderful

Impossible to cancel and extremely complicated process if we are to cancel the reservation at the 11th hour. Also kayak doesn’t provide us customers with a contact number where we customers can make last minute changes. So customers have to be very vigilant about this hidden fallacy of katak. Kayak sold an insurance policy (Allianz) which wasn't acceptable to NextCar. This was really really bad of Kayak. It created delays for every person waiting in line to get a car and delayed the rental process by atleast 45 mins. Canceling that policy. Calling my regular insurance policy and adding another policy. It was too problematic.4,4 Mediocre

Our original quoted price was $200 but when we went to pick up the vehicle, we were told we had to have complete collision coverage or they wouldn't let us take the vehicle off the lot. That ended up being an extra $27.00/day increasing the cost to $270. Then we were quoted as having to return the car at 3 pm but were told that because that location had decided to close on the day of our return, we would need to take it to a separate location and return it by 1. I spoke with the manager who was complete rude and unprofessional however she said we could return the vehicle by 3 pm as quoted however went at length to lecture me that if I was one minute late returning the vehicle she could check the security cameras with the time stamp I wrote on the return slip and if I tried to lie about it they'd charge me for a four day rental fee. Mind you, all I asked was that I return the car at the time I was quoted at and she treated me like I was a criminal. When I got the vehicle there was less than half a tank in it and the car was filthy.10,0 Wonderful

Car was not ready per reservation! I had a compact car reserved at 1200. Staff said that wasn’t available, I could wait for a compact (previous customer had waited more than an hour) or take an SUV. Neither was acceptable to me. I needed the better gas mileage, and could not wait. Which is why I reserved what I did, and when. Staff offered me a Prius at an additional cost. He was only able to discount it so much. He wasn’t empowered to do more, so I took it, with intent to request reimbursement for the additional cost. The total was $89.08, versus the reserved price of $64.55. I’d like to request a reimbursement of the difference of $24.53. Pending the outcome of this situation will influence my future use of kayak car rentals and budget. Thank you.8,4 Very Good

The car was good enough for what I needed (a short-term rental while my regular one was being repaired). They didn't have the exact type I wanted so I had to get a sedan instead but it worked fine.Cons:
The air pressure in the tires was low so I had to wait a little longer before driving off with the car. This facility is no-frills but the employees I've met are friendly and easy to work with. However, they could use more help at this office to avoid long lines of people waiting for service. One person per shift is not enough on weekends.6,0 Okay

Waited for over an hour to get the service. The car booked was not available, gave us an upgraded car at much higher price and they also slipped in unwanted charges in the final bill, which we did not notice. We were told to come the next day and get the actual car booked, when we went to pick up the car they were again not available. Will never ever go to budget to rent a car.Eagle Rent A Car
