The van I rented was a very smooth ride.Cons:
I got near the end of checking in n before I was handed the keys was told that they require an extra $200 deposit. I was a little surprised as I don't remember seeing that when I reserved the car over the website. I got the $200 back once I returned the car, however, was a little "sticker-shocked" at the beginning.10,0 Wonderful

Cons:
The rental office was closed for the day. I scheduled a pickup for Noon, and the office closed at noon. I arrived at 12:05, and wasn't able to get my rental and needed to book a second rental for my trip. Why would you allow me to book a rental pickup at the time when the office is closed???2,0 Poor

Pros:
Initially $200 deposit was charged to my account in addition to the rental charges on the day of pick-up. Was told it would be refunded the day after I returned the van (Monday). The van was returned on Sunday... on Monday an additional $100 was charged & now again today Tuesday an additional $100 is charged to my credit card.9,6 Wonderful

Communication that the place closed right at noon my pick up was at noon I was there at noon and the doors were already locked they were unable to give me another car anywhere in Omaha even though they had cars available at the airport they refused to give me one and they said that I should’ve been there before noon well they should’ve communicated that to me or kayak.4,8 Mediocre

Absolutely awful experience. After waiting in line for 45 minutes to pick up my vehicle 30 minutes after the business closed, I told the Hertz employee that I wanted to prepay for gas. It's my fault in the end that I didn't read the contract, but I trusted that he did what I asked and I was already there 30 minutes past close. I brought the vehicle back on E and was changed $200 by Hertz to fill it up. I've made several calls to their horrible customer service people and have been told "too bad, you signed the contract." Supervisors refuse to call me back, and I will never rent from Hertz again.Avis

My flight was delayed so I arrived to the location at 1:04pm, the store closed at 1:00pm. I called customer service at 1:06pm, they told me they would hold the reservation for the next day for me to pick up in the morning. I arrived the next day to pick up the car and they rate increased.10,0 Wonderful

The service, location and price were all outstanding. I was in and out in under 10 minutes, the car was clean and the attendant had turned it on so it was warming up for me on a cold day, and the price was absurdly low for the day before Thanksgiving. Best experience with a car rental ever.4,4 Mediocre

Clerk was very polite and professional even when system didn't work right and had to 'argue' with other staff on phone. He apologized many times. I still won't use Avis again.Cons:

Pros:
Upon arriving to pick up the car, I found that my husband had accidentally reserved the car, online, for the following weekend. The sales representative was very helpful in changing the rental dates and accommodating the later time of day I needed for returning the car. He did this in a way that enabled me to retain the lower rental price that was available through the online vehicle reservation, all without my even asking.
