Pros: It was charming...the house was beautiful...the food delicious and was catered to our allergies.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: It was more than I expected. It felt more like I was visiting someone’s house than staying at a hotel. Donna was such an attentive, warm and friendly host. I was there for the Shakespeare’s festival for the first time. She knew all about the plays and restaurants and filled me in. There was one steakhouse in particular “Milt’s steakhouse” Donna recommended and I wanted to try. It was difficult for us to get in at the time we wanted. Donna offered to make the reservation and was able to work it out for us. Next time I visit Cedar City my first choice will be the iron gate inn. If it is fully booked I trust Donna to make a great recommendation.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great overnight stop if traveling with pets. Facility was prepared to accommodate travelers with pets.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great ...except...see below
Cons: We loved everything about the place except we had a dog with us so we stayed in a pet friendly room . The room appeared to be very clean but the smell of wet dog permeated the room . The smell was soo strong that my husband and I couldn’t even sleep well during the night because the smell was so offensive . Not sure why it had to smell so bad when we have dogs at our house and it never smells . I would never stay there again unless we were actually able to check the room before staying . They really need to work on the smell . Horrible
6,7 Good
Pros: Location When I reported finding 2 bugs in the bed and the odor in the room the staff quickly acted to resolve the issues and offered to move us to another room immediately
Cons: Smelly room and bugs on the bed
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I had not traveled with my dog in the past and the staff warmly welcomed him.. our room was lovely, bed comfy, all the amenities.
7,5 Good
Pros: Standard HIE experience that we look forward to with one exception.
Cons: Unfortunately we got a room directly over the pool (203) and there was a rowdy crowd in it having a lot of fun. The noise prevented any of my family from sleeping until it closed at 11. I complained to the nice young man at the front desk when it was happening and he offered to ask the parents to get control of their children. I said no but just wanted to let him know of the problem and confirm it closed right at 11. Thankfully it did and we were able to get some sleep. When you check in make sure to avoid the rooms over the pool at least on the second floor. Would stay here again but only at the other end of the building.
7,5 Good
Pros: It was what we need to sleep for the night, clean, comfortable. It met our expectations.
Cons: The breakfast was lacking in may ways but no different from other locations. The needed maintence, when I told the front desk they said, yes we know.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location was convenient to Zion and Bryce Canyon parks. Nice size town.

Pros: Ry at the front desk was very helpful getting us checked in and directing us to our room. The area was quiet despite its proximity to the interstate, and the room was cozy. The warm shower after a day of hiking was fantastic.
Cons: The only thing that was a little frustrating was the stairs to the second floor. We had a big cooler with us and having to carry that up a set of crooked steps wasn't fun. The tables in the breakfast room were not kept clean, so we had to wash/wipe one down ourselves for breakfast.
7,5 Good
Pros: Loved the variety and great taste
Cons: I asked for a roll away when I reserved the room and it wasn’t there. Then when we requested it they told us it would cost money. Our door didn’t close unless we slammed it. The ceiling was peeling and surprisingly more run down then expected.

Cons: Could use more fruit in the breakfast bar.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was limited as to choices, but the choices were good.
Cons: I would love to have had access to a workout room during our stay.
10,0 Excellent
Cons: The sheet on the bed was combined with a quilt and I was too warm. If I took off the quilt that left no cover at all. I would prefer a sheet, then a separate blanket.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: The parimeters of the room were very dirty. I took a wet wipe and went around the edges and got a lot of dirt and hair. The breakfast could use a little more variety.

Pros: good location, clean
Cons: room was small, poor shower, lacked fridge and microwave which were promised on booking.com
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Good location to start your trip towards over the mountains. My room was located in the back and was clean and quiet. Good, lively restaurant right beside the hotel. Had some trouble with the wifi but the front desk was able to get things going again.
7,0 Good
Pros: Pool was fine, but hot tub full of cool water. Breakfast fine, great tea and coffee and various, everything but scrambled eggs, bacon... Beds comfortable. All fell asleep with no difficulty.
Cons: Hotel's lovely. But we arrived after long drive to bring our son to college, and three, not just one, employees of the hotel studiously looked away from us when we walked into hotel lobby and stood in front of the desk. We were the only hotels patrons

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room!
Cons: Sink slow to drain.
6,3 Good
Pros: Beds were good. Room was “pleasant” but below standard from all other Hampton properties I’ve visited.
Cons: I definitely overpaid for this room
4,6 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good. The location was good.
Cons: The width of the bed advertised as "queen" was much smaller than a regular-sized queen bed. The size was between a "double" and a "queen" and, for two people, very uncomfortable. The TV was inoperable. The morning staff person ( as I recall, her name was "Kia") was extremely rude. We waited at the desk at least five minutes to check out while she held a phone conversation regarding a nonpayment for another guest. She neither offered to put her conversation on hold while taking care of us nor apologized for our wait after she was finished. Even though we checked out early she also didn't even have the good sense to ask us if there was anything about our stay that we weren't pleased with. She is a real negative for this Hampton Inn. We have stayed at Hampton Inns for at least a decade and this is the first one with which we were dissatisfied. We will continue to stay at other Hampton Inns but for sure not the one in Cedar City, Utah.
10,0 Excellent

Pros: Location good, food good
Cons: room size of closet, only 1 chair
5,4 Okay
Pros: Good location. Seemed clean.
Cons: Bed was so uncomfortable and rickety. I found a sliver of a fingernail in my bed and it wasn't mine or my husband's. I'm praying that they actually did change the sheets and it was just caught up in the laundry. The room was clean, otherwise. Walls were so thin. We could hear the neighbors' conversations until after 10 p.m., and ALL the screaming/crying/wailing children in the next room, AND the mother trying to talk them down, then, finally her yelling, "Jesus! Would you stop!!!" This went until after 11 p.m. I get that she was having a hard time with her kids, but how about better insulation when building a hotel? Sorry, little cranky here because I didn't sleep well last weekend.

Pros: loved the pool :)

Pros: The location and price make this one of my favorite Cedar City hotels. It’s close to the Shakespeare Festival, SUU, downtown, and restaurants and shopping.

Pros: The breakfast was very basic and not the hot breakfast advertised. There was no yogurt or fruit. There were waffles, donuts, instant hot cereal and cereal. At least it was breakfast before we left. We did really like that the beds were separated into two rooms.
Cons: The rooms felt really dingy. It wasn't as clean as we had hoped. There were hairs on the sheets and something on the bathroom wall that wouldn't wipe off, so we decided it wasn't poo. There were 4 of us and we checked in as such but there were only 3 towels. We asked for extra and got one.

5,0 Okay
Pros: Basic
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean:room, bedding, bathroom. Staff was attentive and helpful. Quiet from evening until late morning. Nice hot water. Good place to rest and close to a lot of tourist locations (Bryce, Zion, Page, etc)
Cons: It was a bit difficult to find a good outlet for charging our phones.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness, advertised continental breakfast and there was nothing, there was a awkward smell around the place, place looked like it hasn’t been updated since they built it.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Beds comfortable, comfortable bedding not scratchy
Cons: Old bar of soap at top of shower
6,7 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly
Cons: It was old and smelled awful
6,7 Good
Pros: The room was large and clean.
Cons: Every time someone walked by, our bed shook. Strange feeling. We stuck a towel at the bottom of our door as the strong smell of chlorine from the pool was coming in.
6,3 Good
Pros: With uncertain images provided online and mixed reviews, we did not know what to expect. We were please to see our room was not like some of the images online. Liked the price for the night. The towels smelled of chlorine/bleach so that was a negative but it was good because it tells us they were sanitary and clean. The bed was not overly soft or hard, it was just right. Liked the free WiFi and plenty of outlets for charging. Loved the fact it had a mini fridge in the room.
Cons: Not knowing what to expect due to the lack of accurate images online, we were not thrilled more disappointed at what we received. There was no weather strip around the door, so sound, the elements and creatures can come and go. Towels smelled of bleach/chlorine. The wall outlet in the bathroom would not hold any plug in, each device plug fell out. There was a frozen beer in the fridge and it reeked of alcohol. Room was over crowded with furniture. The breakfast was cold cereal and a few other things. It was dated but the price could not be beat.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location friendly staff Price
7,1 Good
Pros: This is a dive motel. It advertised as the cheapest in Cedar City. I have stayed just about everywhere in town over the years, and most are basic and lackluster, so I knew the other options. I had very full days and just needed a bed and a shower. Both were clean and the shower was awesome. The toilet flushed, but only if you held the handle down until enough water flowed to clear it. Nice towels. Bring shower shoes if decades old carpet scares you. I left a mssg in the dust behind the TV. I never saw anyone cleaning anything and I stayed 3 nights.
Cons: It would have been nice if the proprietor would have gotten up from watching TV to help me the 2 mornings he watched me try to open the door holding 2 5oz cups of coffee, as there is no in room coffee. He also didn’t believe me when I told him the room had no hair dryer. He finally produced a new one when I complained I would have bedhead all day unless he got me one, after I told him he could come check. The outdoor staircase to the upper floor in rickety metal, and the upper concrete walk is unlevel in all directions. NOT HANDICAP APPROPRIATE.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great short stay motel, owner is very sweet!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was perfect for the price, easy to find and perfectly located.
Cons: I enjoyed staying at this motel.
1,0 Poor
Pros: The lady at the front desk was delightful! She is really trying to turn this motel around and make it better. She really should have invested in better beds. It did have fresh paint which is nice. I wish her the best in this endeavor.
Cons: The bed was so hard we felt like we were sleeping on top of a table. We did not sleep well at all. The towels were also too small. We did not want to walk on the carpet without our sandals on and the chair in the room had stains on it.
