7,0 Good
Pros: The room was quite big and very bright
Cons: The cafeteria at the summing pool. The first day we went there for a small breakfast and everything was served in plastic and with low quality. The lack of a minibar in the room, even though you accepts the opening of a credit line with them
4,3 Okay
Pros: The view
Cons: Food , service , location
9,5 Excellent
Pros: It’s a lovely place, good location, nice pool and staff
Cons: Perhaps a little bit pricey but anyway is high season
7,5 Good
Pros: The swimming pools were nice and clean, the room was spacious. The temperature inside was fine, and everything was clean.
Cons: We took a cheap room but there was no warning that it will look like something they forgot to renovate in the last 20 years. There were cracks on everything in the room and the main room was empty and lacking power outlets. But everything worked what needed to. The hotel is kinda in the middle of nowhere so you either take all inclusive or need to have a car. The bars close quite early, and you can only get dinner until 10 PM which is a bit odd considering spanish custom and the lack of other chances to eat nearby.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with a great room, staff and food
Cons: The beach was a 5-10 minute walk away and it wasn’t the best beach but this isn’t a direct criticism of the hotel. The nearest town is el Rompido and around a 25 minute walk with great food and a nice night market selling trinkets and hand mades
9,5 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. The pool and the views were stunning. Breakfast was good
Cons: It was a little remote. A good 40 minute walk to the village of El Rompido
8,3 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I stayed here for a small portion of our honeymoon. Despite what other English speaking reviewers mentioned, us Canadians were treated very well by the staff and were received with a warm welcome. The staff were so accommodating! The grounds feel serene and fairly clean with nice landscaping. Our view of the sea and river was spectacular. The pools are nice as well. The food always had something special! I even wanted to talk to the head chef about his delicious turkey stew. We got the all inclusive package which is a bit different than what you’d expect at a resort - the restaurant is only open for specific hours 3 times a day. The bars also have scheduled times. Everything is timed. This was all was ok at first but after a few days we began feeling like we were at a retirement home. It didn’t help that it’s generally occupied by elderly folk. The entertainment definitely catered to that crowd as well. Thankfully we had a car because there are some amazing beaches next door and sites to see in Huelva like the Christopher Columbus monument. Overall it’s good if you just want to get away and relax. TIP Take advantage of the laundry service, it is a reasonable cost.
Cons: The rigid schedule of the all inclusive package. We wish it was a bit more lenient and fun. One shouldn’t have to wait for a bar to open to get a bottle of water or coffee without paying extra. There were no snacks available most of the time. I think the hotel needs to employ more staff and provide a more relaxed experience.
7,0 Good
Pros: Nice hotel, the room was very spacious with balcony. Clean outdoor pool. Hotel is organizing trips for the guests at additional cost. Good choice for middle age couples not looking for much activity.
Cons: The hotel is in bit isolated area. The near beach doesn’t worth, best option is the outdoor pool or driving around 15min to the closest beach. The village is very simple, nothing much to be seen or to do. Not recommended for solo travelers or young couples.
7,5 Good
Pros: Reception staff rude and unhelpful. They failed to notify where the facilities/rooms were and kept us waiting. However, restaurant staff and chefs were fantastic and catered for allergies. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Cons: Receptionists
8,3 Excellent
Pros: This was overall a good stay! The room was big and clean, the bed was huge (1,80 m width I would say), the bathroom was also big and comfortable and the amenities were good (even though they could include cotton pads and cotton buds, which they didn’t). The swimming pool area was nice and relaxing (very quiet - the “adults only” makes for it) and bigger than it seems in pictures. The breakfast was good - a lot of diversity. Overall, I think it was an incredible value for money as similar resorts are usually more expensive.
Cons: The food at dinner - the quality is not very good, particularly the main dishes. The dinner schedule - it is supposed to end at 10h pm. That would be fine in terms of serving food, but we were actually told to leave at 10h40 pm on a Saturday. That is not ok. The food in the cafe by the pool - bad and expensive. I ordered a tomato, burrata, basil and guacamole salad. I got a plate full of sliced tomato and a mozarela in the middle. when I asked for the guacamole, the waiter looked a bit surprised it was in the menu and was kind enough to go get it (probably at the restaurant / cafeteria?) but what he came with was a teaspoon of guacamole in a small container , a terrible guacamole that had gone bad. That salad was ridiculous and pricey. There were not fresh juices even, smoothies or shakes. Menu deserves an update.
