Pros: The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. By taxi it is very easy to find it, though the taxi is not allowed to go to the door, I wouldn´t consider it a problem since you only need to walk 1 minute. The location is perfect to get to know the city. The lady at the reception was super friendly and our room was already set by the time we got to the hotel (around 11:00 am). Please note we went on "low" season so it is easier to get the room at that time. The lobby is modern and comfortable. Room: bigger than expected. The bed could be a little bigger due to the space in the room. It is ok, not super comfortable or uncomfortable. The bathroom is huge. Normally in Europe hotels that are located in the city center have small bathrooms so this was a nice surprise. The deco is modern and the room has everything you could need. We were in the back part of the hotel so our room was not noisy at all. Breakfast: standard European breakfast, bread, cheese, ham. Nicely organized. Staff: very friendly and helpful at all times. Location: just Perfect!! Would definitely go back!

Pros: The location is amazing. It is latterly inside the plaza mayor. I booked a single room for one night, and got very nice semi queen bed, with a bathtub bathroom. The room was very clean, equipped with all needed tools to be comfortable. The staff were nice and cooperative. Excellent value for money.

Pros: Superb location but dont expect to find it easily. Gps works bad in caceres. Alot of places shown on gps are not driveable only pedestrian walks. The hotel is okay when not driving. Big problem when driving very difficult to locate with car. Room is not so clean. Toilet bowl has brown stain and sticky. Elevator to the room is dirty with crumbs. Even when we check out the bread crumbs are still on the floor

Cons: I thought the hotel lacked energy. Strange design. The staff seemed a bit down It was New Year and nothing special happened. The energy/spirit was very flat. Staff were not very helpful

Photos show roof terrace and dining room but these facilities were closed but didn't spoil our stay. Found our way via the car GPS to the front door for drop off, no problems. Parked 800 m away on the street at no charge in the new town.

Cons: The walls are super thin. The first night in the bedroom next to us, a couple had an argument (during all night) we couldn't sleep at all, nothing at all, I slept with my 8 year niece, and I had to put on some music... because the words weren't appropriate to lisen, the second night a dog barking.... I could say a 10 hotel if the walls between bedrooms were not so thin.

Cons: The walls are so thin. I could say a 10 Hotel, but I can't. The first night I slept with my 8 years niece and next to us a couple having a big argument during all the night, literally, she had to listen words no appropriate for a little girl, maybe for a couple hours they were quite, but at 6:00 again. The second night a dog barking very early in the morning, even we could listen a man snoring like in our bed. I think the walls must be thicker

Cons: We were asked not to leave our dog unattended in our room but he was not allowed in either the restaurant for breakfast or the gastrobar. This meant being unable to eat together as a couple. The food was awful. Lunch in the gastrobar arrived cold and we had to ask for it to be heated up. It returned still lukewarm. Breakfast scrambled eggs contained shell and were hard and shrivelled. The rest of the buffet was similarly unappetising. Even the coffee, from machines, was poor. Bad value for money, especially compared to faultless 5 star hotel in Salamanca which cost the same. Would not return and do not recommend, especially for pet owners.

Cons: Rules about not being able to leave dogs in the room alone. This made it impossible to use the facilities especially bar and restaurant. The room service times did not take into consideration that guests could not leave the dogs in the room! The service didn’t start until 12 noon so no way of breakfast too your room? Dinner was after 20.30 and that is far too late for us.

Cons: expensive buffet style breakfast. Probably VfM but better options at local cafes. noise and disturbance. Generally it was fairly quiet but the room overlooked an open concourse with attached hotel bar. There is a suite of seminar rooms on the opposite side of the concourse and people would spill out onto the concourse during breaks and at the end of their courses. It meant we had 100 or so people with the attendant bar noise outside our room - on one occasion at midnight. Intending customers should be careful to choose a room that does not overlook the concourse.

Cons: Our room, on the third floor was a bit of an odd shape and not particularly large, although perfectly adequate. The toilet was positioned so close to the glass shower screen it was impossible to sit on it comfortably. Room was very warm, despite heating being turned off, and the air conditioning part of the system did not work. As a consequence we had to open the window - and we were staying in January!

The room smelled like smoke and felt damp, it had a very dated feel and the extra blankets in the closet did not necessarily seem to have been cleaned; kind of like an old motel. It cost more than what we felt the value of the place was, it needs a refurbishment.

The manager even walked me to the hire car company and introduced me to the manager there. The hotel is spotlessly clean and so was my room. I slept the best i have in a very long time!!!. There is also a lovely lounge with TV and microwave if you want it. It's very close to both bus and train stations and very close to the beautiful old town. In fact i didn't want to leave, so i stayed another night!

Pros: Save your money and try another hotel. Besides the sense of humour applied when calling our room 'a superior king', a night in a police cell would have been more cosy. If you grab for straws, the room was clean and our dog slept ok.

Cons: We liked it all. WiFi was slow but we had our mobile data for searching what to do in Caceres and where to eat.

Cons: The room was dusty and lacking typical thins found in most hotels such as a hair dryer, safe, and towel racks.

Pros:
Cons: They did not open the door when we arrived at 10 pm. There was no sign outside, we knocked and rang the bell. NO ONE came.. We had to walk with our backpacks to find another hotel at midnight. I have called hotels .com and complained but they are not providing the refund that I am requesting.
I need this refund because the hotel was incompetent in closing the doors for us.

Cons: The double bed had no mattress or even a foam pad so it was literally like sleeping on the floor.

Cons: Besides trying to stiff us (4more money) for a fold down bed for our 5 year old, after we had asked for a family room (2 +1) and throw in the disinterested staff, a host of other things that make this cold, soulless cell of a hotel, difficult to access, find a car park (there is one much closer than the one scribbled on the map provided by the unhelpful desk clerk). Maybe at least one bed side lamp could have helped warm it up - though you could bring your own as there are ready to go plugs next to the bed. All in all unless your super desperate avoid this place.

Decorated attractively & creatively, in fact quite eclectic. I had a top floor 'suite' which opened onto a small balcony at the rear. No private parking, but there is a pay car park nearby. However once I'd learned to negotiate the one-way system I found on-street parking four nights consecutively within 200m. Good quiet location 5 minutes walk from the main square, & from some local bars where you can get coffee/breakfast (none offered at Alameda Palacete). I particularly enjoyed the extra glass of wine followed by a large brandy that were required late in the evening in order to get a decent night's sleep (see below).

Cons: At 3am, the AC suddenly came on because somebody had set the timer on it. That was annoying, but fixable!

Cons: This place scrubs up well for promotional photos, but... No plug in the washbasin. That should be made a criminal offence. A couple of lightbulbs in the room had blown (or the lamps were not working), and various fixtures & fittings were hanging loose on the walls or furniture. It would take the owners just a few minutes to check & fix these things, but they hadn't & it's so irritating. Presume they just don't care. Dust never killed anyone (quickly) but the layer on top of the bathroom mirror was thick, visible, & obvious. Hmm. Cleaning was otherwise adequate, I'm not an over-fussy person. I can sleep almost anywhere without difficulty, but the bed here was a challenge. The mattress was ridiculously uncomfortable as other reviewers have noted. I've had much better in some very humble places in developing countries.

Pros: The beds were very comfortable. It was quiet with the window closed and the AC worked okay. The room was clean and functional. Absolutely fine for a travel hotel. Very reasonably priced but no frills. Free parking outside the front door in their own car park was excellent.

Cons: There is nowhere to eat close by so we went to the hotel restaurant next door. A help yourself buffet. Very cheap, so we couldn't really complain, but the food wasn't that great. But it was something before bed and kept us going. Breakfast was okay - again very good value not nothing special.
