While I had requested a economy/small vehicle, I got a small SUV. Fortunately it got good gas mileage. It was very clean, ran well, and served our needs. The person working the Budget counter when I picked up the car was not overly friendly. He didn't seem particularly interested in his job. Later in the day that I rented the car, I discovered I had lost my driver's license. It most likely happened at a beach, but I thought it might be possible that I left it at the Budget counter. I called the counter a couple of times trying to reach the employee, but my two calls were forwarded to a main Budget number. I drove back to the airport to try to talk to the employee. I discovered he was chatting with the gentleman at the information booth. It was frustrating that no one ever picked up the phone at the counter.Reviewed Dec 21 2025
