Pros:Nothing. Representative was extremely rude on both pick up and drop off. High pressure sales tactics for extra insurance, add ons and lied about the available vehicles. Wanted to charge me extra for " the only available car" being above the tier I paid for.Cons:Absolutely everything! Rude service.Reviewed Jun 15 2020

Pros:The car itself was very up to date with technology which was nice and having Sirius on a long roadtrip was great.Cons:Waited in line for 30 minutes to get my car and it was gross on the inside. Also called about 8 times in one day to try to get ahold of someone to ask a question and no one ever answered the phone.Reviewed Aug 15 2019

Great car great pricePros:The car was brand new and full of all the new accessories — leather seats, seat warmers, ambient lighting that changes color. It was such a comfy ride to take cross country and worth every penny. The guy at the pick up was intent on getting us a good road trip car. I will definitely choose budget again!!Cons:Nothing! Worst rental experienceCons:Despite Kayak saying there were plenty of compact cars at both budget and Avis, we arrived to be told there were no cars. After much discussion, we were finally told the only thing left was a minivan...Spent a week with a minivan trying to drive through mountains...Tried to change the return time by two hours and return the car at the airport vs in town only to be told it would increase the price by over $200!!Reviewed Aug 19 2018

Budget LiedPros:Nothing at allCons:We reserved a car with Budget through Hotwire & Kayak. When we arrived at the location in Longmont--after paying for a Lyft ride all the way from Denver, and after wasting several hours, as it turns out--I was brusquely informed by the frazzled "agent" that there were no cars, that Hotwire/Kayak should not have posted the availability, and that we were out of luck. She, of course, insisted that Budget was not responsible (although they are the ones who released the car availability onto the websites), and offered no help at all. Upon calling Hotwire, the agent (and the supervisor) spoke terrible, barely understandable English, but through the "language barrier," they of course insisted that Budget was to blame, and that Hotwire bore no responsibility. I will NEVER USE BUDGET OR HOTWIRE AGAIN-- and I USED to be a Budget Fastbreak member!Reviewed Jun 25 2018

Cons:well, it's my own fault I guess but I did not check ahead of time when the rental place closed and I got there 1 minute after my drop-off which also was the time they closed and they were already gone! I called their # and got transferred to the main hub. I explained to (the kid!) that was on the phone with me and I was told that this particular store was not an "after hours" store and I told him that there WAS a key box on the outside and that I had put my key in there but he couldn't tell me if I'd get charged for another day or not! WTF? There should be some kind of standard for that. Seems to me this kid did not know his job. I regret not getting his name and asking him to put a note in with my rental that I dropped it off in time and that they left EARLY!Reviewed Oct 3 2017
