Pros: In one of the select positions on the most beautiful canal in Bruges away from the tourist hordes. Here you can appreciate something of the real soul of historic Bruges. The hotel owners are friendly informative warm people with long experience of how to treat guests. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast superb and what a joy to have it presented in an old historic house tastefully furnished with linen tablecloths. A nice touch was the freshly squeezed orange juice brought to your table.

Pros: only had breakfast once as it was a little expensive. But there was a large selection of food and it was good.

Pros: The location was great and the staff were very helpful. My room was nice and quiet. The bathtub was very nice and big!
Cons: The hotel is really a combination of different buildings, and temperature varies wildly. Some areas were stiflingly hot. furniture in the lobby was strangely modern for a historic area, and some of it was shabby. There was a strange smell that permeated much of the hotel, including the lobby, the common bathrooms, and my room.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: *Excellent* location. Very close to the train station and to the center of the city, but insulated from craziness off a lovely little street leading into a beautiful park. Really a wonderful area.
Cons: I know this is relatively typical for a European hotel, but the room was tiny. The bed was so narrow I had flashbacks to college. Wonderful bathtub, good thick quiet walls, but just a tiny little room. It's a great place to stay, but I have trouble reconciling $136 with the lack of space in that room.

Pros: Fabulous Hotel. And the staff were fantastic from the moment we arrived. At check in we received a map and a ton of information on where to go and what was worth seeing. The food was beautiful. Much better than expected with a lovely surprise each morning at breakfast time. It’s a very safe place and we would highly recommend it . We can’t wait to book again.
Cons: I would have to tell a lie if I wrote something negative here . This hotel ticked all the boxes for us . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Pros: Amazing place!! Amazing staff!! We love our time in this hotel. Great location. We apreciated all the suggestions the girls gave us. We want to be there again!!
Cons:
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is everything as advertised. Beautiful old building, cheerful and helpful staff, clean and well equipped rooms, good buffet breakfast!
Cons: The difficulty in finding the hotel, even with sat-nav. The sat-nav gets one to the wrong end of the one way street and takes one left or right on a long detour. One can just reverse into the street and find the hotel 20 metres on the right. Technically a wrong move but after three attempts and 1 hour extra driving in the dark, and the assistance of a shop owner, one takes desperate measures!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to the market square. Beautiful old building well furnished. It was good to be able to upgrade the room as there is no lift and the stairs are steep
Cons: Some tissues in the bathroom would have been nice.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly family ; great breakfast!
Cons: All was good!

Pros: When we arrived the gentleman at the desk gave us a good run though with the map of all the tourist locations and kindly marked them for us. He then proceeded to show us the breakfast room and give us a full demonstration of how to open the giant, beautiful wooden doors to let ourselves back in out of hours and told us where was good to eat with children. He also gave us a run down of the history of the property which was very interesting. He ensured we fully understood before we went to our rooms. Being a large family we expected to be cramped in a room but it was spacious beyond belief and being right on the doorstep to the market was a bonus. Before coming on this trip we were apprehensive about taking 3 children to a Christmas market but the whole experience was wonderful. Thank you black swan, we will be back!

Pros: Comfortable matrace and pillows
Cons: The stairs was terrible and tiny and uncomfortable to walk up with heavy luggage. For my opinion its not even hotel but type of bed& breakfast as reception was In other street In other kind of hostel and opening hours till midnight.

Pros: Location was great, within the walking distance from the main town square. Bathroom was cosy and clean. The staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. We could leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out as well.
Cons: The room was a bit on the tiny side as well as the bed. It was slightly difficult to regulate temperature in the room. The staircase is quite steep and winding, not a problem for young people like myself but I think it should be noted for general audience.

Cons:

Pros: The location was great and the bathroom was new. The breakfast lady was lovely.
Cons: The room is very small for more than one night. The check in is not at the hotel but at a nearby hostel. After long travel it is frustrating to arrive at the front of the hotel (the cafe) and not know how to enter. The entrance is at the back and the hostel for check in is one street over (once I found check in , it was ok, just inconvenient). I think it would be better to have some sort of management in the actual hotel.

Pros: Close proximity to town but far enough to be quiet. Nice breakfast with plenty on offer (continental).
Cons: The price, For what we received it was over priced! This was a surprise birthday weekend away for my wife, we received a basic room, no room tea facilities, shower over the bath in awkward position, hair dryer burns out after 2 minutes usage, toilet basin was filthy/stained. Not a reflection of the pictures displayed on line!

Pros: The location is good! Next to the bus station and 10 minutes walking to the city center. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: We were shocked that the shower is literally in the room, with no walls dividing it from the bed, knowing that the room was for three (no couples). Zero facilities! No mini fridge, no soap, no water, no mugs, we paid 1.5€ each for a cup of hot water. We only had 3 towels and a shower in the middle of the room. I was disappointed knowing that wasn’t my first experience with ibis hotel.

Pros: Lovely to stay in a hotel that’s not part of a chain. Only negative for me was the fact that the rooms only had an over-bath hand-held shower with no wall attachment high enough to enable you to stand under it. Other than that the rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast choices were numerous and tasty.

Pros: Excellent location to walk and explore Brugge. They also offer a complimentary breakfast in the atrium with a wide selection of food, which our kids loved.
Cons: The property itself is rather old and out-dated, a throwback to the 70’s. Old red carpet in the rooms, dark hallways, cheaper shower stalls, and an overall worn feeling. We are guessing that this hotel will likely be completely remodeled at some point in time, it just hasn’t happened yet. And because of their excellent location, they fill their rooms.

Pros: + Location is great + View from room + Breakfast ok , but nothing special (no fish)

Pros: Our room far exceeded expectation having read Trip Advisor reviews. I couldn’t fault it. Our omelettes were excellent! Location was excellent. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The downstairs ladies toilets could do with monitoring throughout the day for cleanliness.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Only the location!
Cons: The Standard rooms were unacceptable! We had to change rooms and upgrade. The breakfast during the week was poor. It was better on Saturday with an omelet station, but eggs were limited. (Really, with the market right outside your door?) This Hotel is not a 4 star property. The only good thing was the location.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Nice location and nothing else to like
Cons: The hotel has not been updated in last 70 years -- this is likely a single star hotel (not sure why they are still showing 4 stars). the place is not clean, low value for money, has only one staff member for everything, the breakfast was one of the worst i have eaten in my life, a complete dead hotel -- should be demolished and new built.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location was perfect, beds comfortable, good sized rooms and central parking.
Cons: Our room rate included a buffet breakfast and they had run out of pretty much everything except toast, and when we asked if anything like pancakes, or bacon and eggs etc was going to be replaced, we were told they didn't have a chef on duty ON A SUNDAY MORNING and if we didn't like it to leave a bad review. So here it is.

Pros: Location was perfect. Its in the city center so everything is in a walkable distance.
Cons: I had booked a room with the city view which was not given. Had small window which opened to another building. Staff was not very courteous. We checked in pretty late and requested for a late checkout. Was charged additional 20euros for that.

Pros: Only good thing was the location
Cons: The hotel is literally falling apart in the inside. Room had 1970's maroon carpet that smelled badly. Furniture was cheap and outdated. Bed was worn out and unsupportive. It was advertised as complimentary breakfast at the time of booking, but at checkout they insisted that I had the "pay for breakfast rate" , so the charged me for the breakfasts that I ate. Nowhere in my email confirmation did it say anything about pay for breakfast , but the advertisement at description when booking clearly states complimentary breakfast. Total bait and switch tactic. Would not stay here again if they paid me. Location was the only plus.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Staff and bed. Friendly and comfortable.
Cons: No kettle In room. Lumpy pillows. Very little heating in room. Very little hot water and slow running taps. Bathroom floor ice cold and damaged tiles. Room above very noisy due to no sound proofing. Hotel was half a building site and nail heads sticking out of staircase railings. Over priced for this level of issues. Trust me, you don't want me to keep going!!!
