9,0 Excellent
Pros: New hotel with large rooms. Excellent breakfast with made to order omelettes. Tremendous value.
Cons: Ice machine near our room was rather loud.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Nice breakfast, very clean and neatly organized. The two ladies at the breakfast room were great and welcoming. The selection is good and the omelette station is nice.
Cons: The old women at the front desk was extremely rude from the moment we checked in for no reason. We needed to check in an hour earlier then normal check-in due to my work which seemed outrageous to her. She was complaining to us at check-in how awful some guests are, including us because we are making her job so much harder and just kept complaining about poor management. Finally she went to check if the room is ready for us and it took her 2 minutes to find out that it was in fact ready for us. Even though we got a late check-out time from the afternoon front-desk agent, who was very accommodating, the next day the same women locked us out from the rook before the extended check-out time and threatened to call the police. She even had the nerve to make a scene in front of other hotel guests and showed us the middle finger which I'm glad another person also eye witnessed despite that she was trying to hide it from the camera. I travel a lot for both work and pleasure and this was the first time staying with this brand. The fact that they allow people like that to represent their business and brand shows a low standard to me. I never had such a bad experience at any other hotel within Canada or outside of Canada. I will definitely stay with their competition who expects high standards of customer service from their front-of the house staff. I'd like to note that everyone else working there seemed professional and were providing very good customer service. That one person must be the only rotten apple there who makes everyone else look bad who works there and works hard every day.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was easy to find, right on the main drag. The building is clean and welcoming. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and had all the necessities. I will certainly stay there again!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Comfy, clean, & conveniently located for our Medieval feast.
Cons: We didn't stay longer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was not able to figure out how your shower works.
Cons: Everything was awesome
6,7 Good
Pros: The pool, the cleanness, and location,
Cons: The staff at the front desk were very rude, we went to ask if we could make our check out time a bit longer then 11 as we got in late that night, and the lady at the front snapped and said no, if we would have known we couldn’t extend our check out time, I would have went to the Ramada, the lady was very rude, snobby,
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Wifi signal strength could have been stronger in some rooms.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Good
Cons: The air conditioner is working on first room we stay
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent--front desk and breakfast attendants. Quick to respond to requests. The room was fine for the price.
Cons: Breakfast is good, considering there's no freshly-cooked hot food. There is an assortment of breakfast sandwiches and eggs you can microwave and many bread/pastry/waffle/french toast items for you to toast. There's only one microwave and one toaster, so if many people arrive for breakfast at once, you might have to wait to heat up your food. The fresh, cut fruit, yogurt and hard-boiled eggs as well as the 4 juices and assortment of hot beverages were very nice. There aren't many places to eat nearby if you don't want chain food or fast food, but that certainly isn't the fault of the property--just information for future visitors.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and well staffed.
Cons: The WiFi never did work while we were there. I’m sure this not normal though.

Pros: We love the pool so much... great breakfast as well! Rooms are clean and spacious too.
Cons: We love everything except for one thing.... the smell coming from somewhere.. not sure if it's a piggery or a cattle farm. ..
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, we went to visit Dinosaur National Park, which is less than 30 minutes away, so great location. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance including Boston Pizza, Montana/s, McDonalds, Tim Horton's, Wendys to name a few. ( Get a 10% discount at Boston Pizza and Montana's) Hotel was clean and quiet. Our three kids had a blast at the pool. Pool is warm and water slide is fast and fun. We had the pool to ourselves most of our stay. The waterslide wasn't on when we went before dinner one time and front desk staff kindly turned it on for us. In the late afternoons and evenings there is also popcorn in the lobby. Great for the kids. Breakfast was great, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, make your own waffle, toast, pastries and cereal. Our room was clean and perfect for our family. I like that it had a separate sink beside the mini fridge so we didn't have to use the bathroom sink for water and washing water bottles etc. We had a king bed with French doors that closed to main living area, so kids could sleep separate on a sofa bed and a roll a way bed. Lots of room for the two nights we were there. If we come back to Brooks, we will definitely stay here again.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was great. Free full breakfast for 2 people every morning until 11 AM. Sunday brunch was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect.
Cons: My only complaint would be the pillows as there was no assortment. All were great for sitting up and reading but I like a more flat pillow for sleeping.
6,7 Good
Pros: Breakfast amazing
Cons: Hotel has a smell Mattresses need changing out
7,9 Good
Cons: Need new matresses.
4,6 Okay
Cons: For starters, there are two hotels side by side with the same name. One is new and the other is older. It is very confusing and misleading which facility you might be staying at. Staff at front desk was terrible, both times there was a long wait for checkin and out service due to either an empty desk or due to the one person working being on the phone for extended periods. The hotel shower was broken (ran water from both the spout and shower head, should only run from one or other) and the place smelled strongly of urine the following morning...to the point of gagging when you left. The complimentary breakfast was also nothing to write home about. The service at the restaurant was on par with the service of the hotel staff...unimpressive, if not slightly offputting. There are several neighboring hotels in the area, I'd recommend checking those out before staying here.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Very efficient waitresses. Special compliments to Theresa and Shirley. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Thanks to Cody for making sure we were happy with our room. Big plus to have cafe on premises with good selection.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet restaurant and breakfast was great.
Cons: Very slippery and icy this morning however there wasn’t any sand or ice melt put out which would have been helpful in maneuvering to one’s vehicle.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff! Super helpful when our heater was not on irking in our room they helped us move in two seconds flat! And gave us a complimentary breakfast for our troubles. And spotless!!! In good repair.
Cons: The hallway is a bit confusing! But not a big deal.
7,5 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed and convenient with restaurant on premise.
Cons: Courtyard side room was very dark.

3,3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: Found bed bugs , office closed so I packed up and left. Took pictures though for public health.
6,7 Good
Pros: The host went out of his way to be accommodating. We parked our bikes inside the building. And, although the kitchen was closed by the time we arrived, he was more than happy to whip us up a bite to eat.
Cons: The building is old and pretty run down, but our bed and towels were clean, which is all we need after a day on the bikes.
4,2 Okay
Pros: Bed was king-size, clean and comfy. Room furniture was adequate to good. Security was questionable - locks, open doors, etc. Kitchen - cleanliness could be an issue. Owner was kind - tried to please us. Understood from him that he is trying to update the facility. Quet area.
Cons: Hotel appeared in disarray. Sign was partially missing.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Welcoming staff
Cons: The building clearly needs renovation. There was mold in our room.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: I drove across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver with my pet dog. I stayed in 5 different hotels so far. And I had to say that Royal City Hotel is the best bang for the bucks. The rate is very affordable, almost the cheapest of the five. And on top of that there's no pet fee. Best of all, it came with a hot, delicious breakfast cooked to my order by the owner himself. He said he did this just because it's more convenient for the guest so they don't have to worry about finding breakfast. The hotel looks kind of old from the outside, but the room is nice and clean!
Cons: I have nothing bad to say.
7,9 Good
Pros: Good hot breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: Good do with some upgrading but was good for one night.
7,5 Good
Pros: We got an upgraded room. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Cooked breakfast is included in price of about £40 per night per room! Quite comfortable room and bed. Food at restaurant very cheap and looked good.
Cons: This is a case of you get what you pay for. It is extremely cheap accommodation but it shows. Rooms are furnished with 1960s brown furniture and it's not especially clean. Not particularly well equipped rooms.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Shower tabs is old.
3,8 Mediocre
Pros: The one man staff, kind.
Cons: The reception area and restaurant is not that properly maintain...

Cons: No shampoo provided in room (2nd year/2nd time). I can live the dispenser soap. I just don't like using it to wash (shampoo) my hair!
7,1 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable. There was Wifi and TV which is great. The stove oven and fridge all worked. Good price.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amanda and Lorne run an excellent value bed and breakfast. The bed was so wonderfully comfortable, there was a fridge in my room, and breakfasts are prepared fresh every morning. If you’re lucky, Amanda will cook up her fluffy amazing pancakes, well worth setting aside your low-carb diet for. She and Lorne are the quintessential B&B proprietors: friendly, cheerful, available, and knowledgeable. A few tips: It’s easy to drive past the place even though it’s on a major road, because it’s hidden back behind some lush trees (and google maps has its location off a bit). Also, bring soap and shampoo, and if you’re paying with a credit card, be sure to override the “tip” function (which is on their machine for their restaurant).

Pros: Complimentary breakfast
Cons: They were friendly. We had a nice clean room the 2 days we stayed.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: This location needs some updating - Bathroom linoleum was curling up, shower wall was bowed from what we can only assume was water damage. The couch in our room was very stained that we didn't even go near it. The building still smells of cigarette smoke from when you could still smoke in the rooms?
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Oh sorry we didn’t try the food our relatives in brooks Alberta cook for us. But don’t worry the next time we check in at travel lodge we will try your food.
Cons: None
