Car hire at Bournemouth Airport

Bournemouth Airport (BOH) is a small two-terminal airport and is served by mostly budget airlines such as Ryanair and TUI. The car hire area is a short walk from the Arrivals Terminal and just beside the Long-Term Car Park in an outdoor area. It has its own building and desks for each of the companies operating there.

The main car hire firm here is Hertz. It’s office is easy to find in the official car hire building beside the car parks and is open during office hours Monday to Friday. On Saturdays it is open from 9:00-11:00 and it is closed on Sundays. You can reach the car hire building on foot; it’s only a 3-minute walk from the Arrivals Terminal.

Bournemouth Airport car hire building has a waiting area, tea and coffee facilities and rest rooms. Staff are available during normal office hours to help with any problems and help you choose your car type and deal with any other issues.

You will need a valid driver’s licence and a credit card to pay for your car in advance. You may be asked to supply a secondary ID, such as your passport, so make sure you have that with you also. It’s helpful if you have your return flight tickets for reference. The minimum age to hire a car in the UK is 23 years old and you must have held your licence for at least one year.
