Overview

In the leafy Poppelsdorf quarter close to the centre of Bonn, the Best Western Hotel President, Bonn, Germany, is a comfortable hotel with spacious, air-conditioned rooms, good soundproofing, free Wi-Fi, a hotel bar, and a generous breakfast buffet to start the day. Cafes, shops and small restaurants line the leafy streets nearby, and the university's botanical garden and the grand Poppelsdorf Palace are a short stroll away through the quarter. The setting is calm yet handy for the city centre and station. Bonn is the old federal capital on the Rhine, best known as the birthplace of Beethoven, whose family home is now a museum. A riverside Museum Mile gathers fine art and history collections, the old market square and grand town hall mark the lively centre, and promenades, gardens and parks follow the river through the city. Boat trips set off along the Rhine toward the dramatic Seven Hills.
