Top tips for finding Bondi Beach hotel deals

  • If you’re looking for a cheap hotel in Bondi Beach, you should consider visiting during the low season. You'll find cheaper accommodations in Bondi Beach in September and October.
  • Hotel room prices vary depending on many factors but you’ll most likely find the best hotel deals in Bondi Beach if you stay on a Tuesday. The opposite is true for, Sunday, which is usually the most expensive day.
  • Want to stay directly on the beach? Hotels on Beach Road or Campbell Parade have prime locations, like Hotel Bondi and the Swiss-Grant Resort and Spa. Remember that Bondi Beach’s centre is small and easily navigated by foot, bicycle, bus or taxi, so you’re never too far away from the beach.
  • Travelling on a budget? Look for cheap hotels in Bondi Beach by staying in outer suburbs such as Bondi Junction and take advantage of New South Wales’s public transport system. Buses operate every 10min between Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach. Tickets cost about A$ 3-4 and the journey takes about 8min.
  • If you’re up for an adventure and want to follow the 6 km Bondi to Coogee Walk, consider staying in a hotel near the route’s starting point, at the bottom of Notts Avenue in South Bondi. Noahs Bondi Backpackers is the closest accommodation to the trail. Ultimate Apartments Bondi Beach is an affordable option about a 10min walk from Notts Avenue if you prefer having a private room.
  • If you like staying in hotels that have a bit of history, Hotel Bondi is one of Sydney’s most charming heritage hotels, built in 1919. Situated in the heart of Bondi Beach, choose from ocean-view rooms or suites.
  • Bondi Beach is about 30min from Sydney Airport (SYD). If you’re travelling on business or for a short stay, look at hotels near the airport like Meriton Suites, Citadines Connect, and Pullman. There are good public transportation links between the airport and Bondi Beach.

PROS: With the exception of not having a beachfront balcony view, which apparently none of the Bondi beach hotels have (that are nice boutique hotels -apparently the beachfront view flats are simply too expensive for the hotels to purchase to generate positive revenue), the QT is quite excellent in every way. It's quirky and cute - the interior has a "happy" atmosphere. And everything around is there, and within a5 minute walk. Fully enjoyed. And I'm used to 5 star hotels around the world.

Ausserdem hat die Rezeption beim Check Out gar nicht gefragt "How was your stay?" Unverschämt!
