The bed is quite comfortable and the breakfast is good. The room has got most of essentials. Staff are helpful.
The shower is powerless so be prepared to spend a long time. There were small hairs left on the wall above the bath and at the end of bath in RM 9. Bad plumbing - I was in RM 5 first, but they had to move me out of RM5 the the next day as the toilet was totally blocked after I reported overflow the previous night on arrival. After I was moved to RM 9, I found the toilet does not flush well but couldn't be bothered to report again.
Staff really friendly and helpful, good hotel for smokers as you can stand just outside of your room for a cig not have to walk miles! Bed was comfortable and room was clean and warm
Rooms by the street can be a bit noisy but didn’t stop me sleeping. Shower was quite difficult to get the temperature right went from hot to freezing, had to keep messing with it until it was right.
Staff were super friendly and helpful. Was a motel style rather than hotel but no issue. Can't fault anything
Friendly staff , clean & tidy room & good breakfast with plenty of choice
Pillow was a bit too full for me as I have a neck problem ! Drinks at the bar expensive
It was a good location we were able to walk to the Sealife Centre, centre of Birmingham and the O2 Institute within about 15 mins each. There was plenty of parking on site, costing £8 for 24 hours. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast was full English, cereals and continental.
It was more a motel than a hotel. You have to walk outside from the small reception area where breakfast and the bar is also housed and around to the rooms, which isn’t a huge deal but when we visited it was raining so to get breakfast we got jackets etc on to go outside.
We're proud to offer 51 guest bedrooms with modern, cosy décor, en suite facilities and a work desk. And whether you need something at 2pm or 3am, our 24hr reception and snack bar are each on hand to help. So with a relaxed noon check-out policy, a hearty, unlimited breakfast spread each morning and an on-site restaurant with a pleasant terrace for al fresco dining, ibis Birmingham Centre Irving Street is just the ticket for a memorable stay.
