Nothing good to say about this Hotel it was not a memorable experience. I am going to write a letter of complaint.
Hotel staff rude, and not welcoming apart from hotel manager. B/f service was poor and tables dirty. Room had no coffee or tea making facilites forcing you to order a drink from the bar. Room was shabby, ie bedroom curtains and shower curtains were falling down. Shower head was full of limescale and had not been maintained for sometime. Bed spreads and blankets were stained.......yuk!. Hair dryer broken. Meals available were poor and standard of food was poor for a resturant of three stars. Room service availability was poor ie phone was not answered. The Hotel was of a shabby standard all round and was extremely difficult to find in terms of Car Parking. Difficult to get answer from Hotel for directions as postcode on Website wrong.
All the staff we met, on reception, bar/restaurant and cleaning staff were all friendly and polite. Also, we came for the weekend to do all our Christmas shopping, so the location, right opposite the Festival Centre, was excellent for our purposes.
If there was any criticism it would only be that the bathroom was a bit dated and the grout and fittings etc looked a bit shabby and old. It was very clean though.
Staff responses to problems.
Staff very friendly. very convenient for shops and theatre
The breakfast. not enough food coming out only appeared in dribs & drabs so had to keep getting up. The scrambled egg was not only cold it tasted like powdered egg.
The location was excellent as was the breakfast. Reception staff and bar staff very friendly
Having upgraded the room, I was dissapointed that it was a lower standard than I would have expected, fairly basic, nothing special.
