Pros (+) The staff was nice.
Cons (-) The hotel was not clean and our bathroom smelled like mold. I know it is summer time in Banff but $250 a night for this place is insane. It’s the furthest hotel in town you can get. I would of been happier if it was clean and didn’t smell.

Pros (+) The staff were fantastic. From check-in to dealing with an issue (rowdy guests), they were very professional and personable. The best staff member was the server handling the Sunday morning buffet. Very nice and welcoming and was very courteous to our family. The room was ok and the price point is good. The bed was comfortable.
Cons (-) The hotel is showing it's age. Stayed in the Swiss Village building and it needs to be updated. The bathroom flooring was peeling up, the bathtub drain was an issue (but fixed quickly by hotel staff), and the pool and hot tub are both in desperate need of updating (note: it looks like a few days later the pool was closed). Pros (+) Offered more amenities than I expected and really for the price it wasn’t bad at all. In-hotel restaurants and bars, heated indoor hot tub, gift shop, and right in front of a major bus stop. For a no-frills hotel it was decent
Cons (-) There was an odor on the first night, had trouble “dialing in” the thermostat since it didn’t reflect the correct temp, and the lighting in the room was a tiny bit more dimmer than desired.

Pros (+) The beds were comfortable, but it's just dated and made me feel like it wasn't clean and fresh like you want a hotel to feel. I was there two nights and am happy to be home in a clean feeling environment. I would never stay there again, but in an awful pinch it will do. It just needs to be updated. I would 100% spend the extra money and sleep elsewhere.
