Polite but clueless staff. The property has a jacuzzi (jets out of order) and a sauna (thermostat did not work), and a steam room. No pool.

When we checked in the room was warm but the AC was on. We turned down the AC and went to dinner. Four hours later we got back and the room was still warm. We reported this to the front desk who called for maintenance and said that she didn't know when they would arrive as they were on a call at one of their other two properties. We asked to be moved to a room with functional AC and Mariela insisted we wait for maintenance to arrive. With the timeline of maintenance arriving unknown we persisted and she showed us another room to confirm the AC worked. It worked immediately and as we went back to the front desk to get the new keys maintenance arrived and we went to look at the AC. He made a bunch of excuses about why it wasn't working, that we set it wrong, despite Mariela confirming previously it was set correctly. He changed the settings and insisted it was working, but that it might take a couple hours to cool off. It was not working. We insisted on being moved to a room with functional AC. This room was okay, it was clean. The sliding glass door opened directly into the parking lot of the adjacent hotel. The bed was uncomfortable. The location was pretty good, ~15 minute walk to restaurants and shops. Overall I'd say it was a poor value, but my perception of the experience was wrecked by the staff trying to gaslit us into accepting an unusuable room when many vacancies were available.

Pros:Hotel was great. Disliked the view of our room though (1st floor on the back side of the hotel). Our view was of a bus parked right in front of our window. Lame. Room was great inside. Fridge was convenient. Continental breakfast was tasty. The poutine at carlitos pizzeria was the bomb diggity. The town became really active at night with all the young kids going out to the bars. My friends and I had no complaints and we really enjoyed going in the spa, sauna, and steam room after hiking all day.
Cons:Our view. Buses are not fun to look at. Plus you feel like people are in there creeping on you in your room even though you know it's empty.

Cons:- CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST WAS VERY LIMITED AND MUFFINS WERE FREEZER BURNT - STEAM ROOM DIDN'T WORK THE FIRST NIGHT - JETS IN HOT TUB NEVER WORKED AT ALL - VERY HARD TO GET A NORMAL TEMPERATURE IN ROOM WAS VERY HOT IF YOU HAD THE HEATER ON AT ALL
