Very disappointed. At Rio de Janerio airport location nobody was speaking English. They made me pay for carwash . I guess I suppose to wash the car before returning 🤷♂️ For sure I will think twice before I use Avis again .Reviewed Mar 12 2024

Total amount charged by Unidas was higher than the total amount of the reservation. Unidas/avis customer representative did not speak eanglish !!Reviewed Mar 4 2024

We book a car pickup for 1 pm but our car wasn't available until 3 pm. Their credit card system didn't recognize our credit payment and they cancelled the transaction and when they tried to charge us again, our cards were blocked by our bank. This cause another 2 hour delay. After travelling with kids for 24 hours, all these delays were really frustrating. The customer service staff tried to help and gave us a little discount on our rental because we even had to upgrade since the car we booked wasn't available and the one that was in the same class didn't not have sufficient trunk space. So we had to pay more than we first agreed to with our rental.Reviewed Mar 1 2024

Pros:NothingCons:I didn't take the car because Avis wanted to charge my credit card with a $3000 security deposit/ I never heard of such a thing. I had to rent a car from another company which did not have such a policy.Reviewed Jul 23 2017

Cons:the insurance you sold us on line wasn't recognized in Brazil and became a headache for us. It was easily refunded but dealing with Brazil on last minute charges not fun- otherwise all good.Reviewed Jan 2 2017
