The Dorian Inn was a great experience. We spent a week there and the staff were very courteous and prompt. The hotel itself was very clean and updated. The location was very close to Plaka and the Acropolis.
The location isn’t in the best part of town. After doing research, the streets behind the hotel is an area to avoid when walking after dark.
Great views but not in a walk-able part of town.
I really enjoyed the rooftop bar and the view of the sites as well as the pool. The staff was friendly and spoke English well. The beds were made and the maids were generous with towels. Taxis were easy to grab from the front entrance of the hotel.
I did not enjoy that there was not a hot tub. A hot tub at the pool would have been great. I did not enjoy the smokers that were sitting near my on the outdoor patio. Once we arrived we were set to walk 10 minutes to restaurant not that far from our hotel room but when we set out to walk both streets around the hotel did not look safe even at 3pm daylight. We ended up taking a taxi both times we left the hotel due to safety reasons.
Great views of the Athens Skyline
Views, roof top bar & pool, large room and balcony.
Bed (two singles pushed together), location (not many restaurants nearby)
Rooms are way too small
For the first time ever, i could barely fit in the shower, they gave me a corner room with views to a wall that was totally claustrophobic. Not staying here ever again.
Good Value
If you need to be Omonia Square the location is great. It is also a short 1
It's fine. The neighborhood isn't great at night. If you aren't selling of buying heroin I'm sure you'll be aok. Granted we are from a city of hookers and thieves and are generally comfortable in urban settings. The bar/restaurant is pretty good. The view is fantastic. The music was very good house music but I think that's because the bartender is a house music Dj. The hotels location is very central. We stayed 3 nights.
The Room 901 was Much Better than rooms I stayed in other times.
Hotel was quite OK, good breakfast.
close to the center , good connection with metro .
Very noisy street - during the night a lot of cars - claxoon - close to the hospital a lot of sirene - neighbourhood looks noty very safe
Handy to most things and walkable to most important sites like Plaka. Breakfast included. Great view from roof.
We knew the area was a bit seedy but it wasn't as bad as we had been led to believe. Stick to main roads and you will be fine.
The pool on the top floor is very nice. You get nice views out over the acropolis
The are surrounding the hotel is not very pleasant. You can see people shooting up heroin on the streets. The hotel is located on a major road and so the rooms facing the road have quite a lot of traffic noise.
The views from the rooftop were very good as was pool area.
Breakfast ok but not good. Very noisy outside. Not particularly good area and quite a walk to main attractions.
Bar, restaurant and pool on the top floor allowing good views across the city
I would have liked info on the hotel and its facilities in the room - ie - opening times for bar/restaurant, wifi details etc
swimming pool, panoramic vue on the city from top floors.
The staff is very nice and helpful, it was my husband's birthday and I asked them to bring breakfast with some flowers and a birthday balloon, they did it perfectly for just a little extra money.
The only thing I didn't like that much was that we had the plan to pay all in cash upon check-out but without notice, they charged the 1st night on the credit card, I think they could have asked if we wanted to do so in the 1st place.
fantastic breakfast, clean and confortable .
the location ...it is a very dodge area ...and you had to pay for wireles internet
