Pros: The breakfast is spectacular. The hotel is close to the train station and about ten minutes to Atami one way and Ito the other. Private onsens are very good, shared are very good as well. The room was huge with a nice balcony and the wait staff are lovely. The views over the bay are really good. Very good value for the money.
Cons: The town is very quiet so if you aren't eating at the hotel it is best to eat at Ito or Atami. The road between the hotel and the foreshore is busy.

Parties of four or more guests will be served in a private restaurant.
7,9 Good
Pros: The staff were very friendly and attentive, the outdoor baths were pretty and the food was good.
Cons: The pictures lead you to believe that the rooms have a mountain or forest view, but it’s just the street outside.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The experience was very authentic and welcoming.
Cons: It was a long walk from the centre of town, although there was a bus stop nearby and all the onsen hotels seemed to be located on the edge of town. But it's worth bearing in mind if you want easy access to shops and cafes.
7,9 Good
Pros: Food and service
Cons: Room and facilities are quite old
9,2 Excellent
Pros: If the purpose of your trip is to relax in Onsen and enjoy Kaiseki Ryori, I rate this place above excellent. If the sightseeing is your priority, I would say it is a little difficult. The dining area was simply magnificent.
4,2 Okay
Cons: The property is run down and the whole building has a musty and unpleasant smell. My room has a huge spider and my friend's room has something looks like centipede.

Pros: AMAZING KAISEKI EXPERIENCE! Wonderful onsen and outdoor hot spring.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very new and nice fittings for a business hotel.
Cons: Location not as good as other hotels in APA group, has to go up a moderate slope, further away from food shops. Choice of room type more limited.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice traditional onsen hotel. In a good location close to shops and restaurants and about ten minutes walk to Atami railway station. Its quite a steep uphill walk to the station but we found that we could use a local bus from the next street to take us to the station. We stayed in a japanese room with private outdoor hot spring bath. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room is spacious, clean and comes. The dinner room is very nice. The dinner and breakfast were awesome. The staff was super friendly. It is close to the downtown and beach.
Cons: No outdoor or semi-outdoor public onsen.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Such a spacious tatami rooms, the hot spring baths and open space bath was great. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Recommend.
Cons: Spacious, cleanliness and hot spring baths
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The room was bigger than your average Japanese western style room. Very comfortable for one person and I would assume to be still comfortable for two. Lovely tea set in the room and it was a great service to have iced water prepared in the room for your arrival. I also loved the outdoor bath. It's a great location and the beach is right there! Definitely going to come back with others to try out the Japanese style rooms.
Cons: I would of liked the power outlets to be either on the bed frame or for there to be separated ones for charging and using say the kettle. Thats just me being picky though. You can definitely work around it. Some people who like to stay out late during travelling might not like the fact check-in needs to be done before 7:30pm but personally it wasn't a problem.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wifi is actually very good despite lot of comment here complaint about it. We don't have a problem using internet during our stay. Onsen is very very comfortable. Meal here is very nice too. It's luxurious for having crab as breakfast - highly recommend foodie to get the half board package, really worth it.
Cons: I think the smell of wood here is kinda funky but this could be subjective.

4,2 Okay
Pros: nothing
Cons: The hotel is worn out and a renovation is overdue. All facilities were in a poor condition and the carpets were stained and dirty. Our house lady had the attitude of primary school teacher talking to kids about not eating their dishes.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: our first time stay in an onsen, so nothing to compare it with. but when telling friends about it, seems like it was a great deal. own private open air bath, really nice staff, great dinner and breakfast served in our room.
Cons: no real complaints except, for a one night stay, couldn't make use of the wooden tub that also came along with the room.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location was a short ways up a steep hill from the main town, but the hotel was very helpful in calling taxis. The staff service was top notch. English language support is limited, but good enough to meet our needs. Our room was actually nicer than I expected. The outdoor rooftop onsen was simple, but pleasant and had amazing views.
Cons: Everything about the hotel lived up to (or exceeded) my expectations. The only things I didn't enjoy could be blamed on the city layout, not the hotel.

Cons: The onsen could use some renovation
6,7 Good
Pros: View from room was amazing. Private Onsen was also amazing, can soak with partner and or family.
Cons: The staff, no turn down service in the Japanese style rooms and for the price they should make the futon for you, meal service time, shuttle bus times to town and the public onsens were dark, not clean or relaxing feeling.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Location, cleanness , scenery , various facilities

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Watching the sunrise in the "lobby garden". The new spas on the 15th floor. We were impressed with the staff. They were polite and pleasant. Welcome matcha/drink. Breakfast buffet
Cons: The hotel is being renovated right now so after it is done, the garden area and the rooms will be nice. The room we stayed in was dated.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Even though this is an older hotel, it is very well maintained. All of the staff was friendly. There is a free shuttle to and from the train station. The view from our room was spectacular. We enjoyed the wide variety of foods at the buffet breakfast.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel New Akao hmmm very interesting place. Absolutely need renovation! Hotel was build in 1973.... at that time it was for sure very luxury ..buy it stuck in that time. The remains of former glory still can be seen! Awesome dining hall with great view on the Ocean e.g. Japanese style room with ocean view - good choice. Generally if you want to feel awesome atmosphere of THAT time ...I would highly recommend. Despite the old fashioned decoration (a bit used) staff at the hotel helpful and very kind. Large selection of food for breakfast (west and Japanese) . Onsen located on 15th floor absolute awesome! After renovation! Clean, modern design, with fantastic out door pools with great view ! Hotel provides shuttle from Atami Station!
Cons: Bathrooms need to be upgraded.
7,9 Good
Pros: Great view of the ocean from the room. Good breakfast and nice japanese style dinner. Very nice onsen with a splendid view of the ocean.
Cons: The hotel seems a bit stuck in the 80s visually. Definitely more a family-friendly hotel than a romantic hotel. Location is a bit remote from the city center but there are bi-hourly shuttles.
6,7 Good
Pros: The hotel is huge and the shuttle bus service was convenient. The baths were huge but very crowded. Dinner was a very unique experience in a huge ball-room like room and the food was good and the staff attentive.
Cons: The dining room looks very dated and needs upgrading. Also as with huge facilities like this, everything seems in personal and rushed, starting at the check-in. At first they couldn’t find our reservations as they had booked it under one of our friend’s first name and had difficulty finding it. The baths were great and the view very nice, but it was very crowded. We have stayed at better places for the price we paid.
