Pros: We loved how quiet and peaceful it was here. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was easy access to the St. Frances Basilica. You could walk there, but Giulio showed us where to park to get as close as possible. We also appreciated his recommendations for local restaurants that were much cheaper than in downtown Assisi. Breakfast, especially the cappuccino, was delicious. We would have stayed longer if we could. Next time!

Pros: Our stay at All’Ombra di San Damiano was nothing short of sublime. The old farmhouse turned into an exquisite B&B is a short walk - approximately 5 min. - away from Assisi and close to mesmerizing medieval towns such as Spello, Gubbio, Montefalco, Deruta and Bevagna. Furthermore, Giulio has to be the most dedicated and humble host you are going to find in Umbria. He’s determined to make uour stay as optimal as possible. If you like peace and quiet, a kind-hearted and warming host and all the best Umbria has to offer within an one hour driving distance, than All’Ombra is your best choice.

Pros: This place is great!! Might be a bit difficult to get to if you don’t rent a car, but it is within approx 60 minutes driving distance of many interesting sights - Assisi, Marmore Falls, Lake Trasimeno, and lots of cute scenic towns. Giulio is a wonderful host and gave us great tips for what to see and where to eat close by. We would definitely stay here again!!

Cons: I would appreciate healthier option for breakfast. The homemade cakes and biscuits were delicious but I would also appreciate freshly squeezed orange juice instead of the sweet juices in the boxes.
