Ascona hotels near Communal Museum of Modern Art

Pros: It is a great place for kids and family. The staffs were extremely polite and helpful. They gave us a upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. The food was good. Kids activities, play areas were great....

Pros: We liked that the property had a very wide garden, flowers, palms, animals like rabbits, goats, donkeys and so on so this was a very pleasant experience for our 2 and a half years old son. The staff was very polite, the lobby and the room was very well equipped for a relaxing tea and at the entrance there were always baked in the house biscuits. The food was good and the room very comfortable. Our stay was relaxing and we really enjoyed it.

Pros: We had a wonderful and big room. The breakfast buffet was of excellent quality and good choice of food products. For our son we had to change the bed (size). As we needed another linen we ask - quite late in the evening - at the reception and immediately received the right size for the bed.

Cons: This time we have no topic to mention as "negative" or we didn't like.

Pros: Breakfast was great. Good variety. The view of the lake and the garden itself were breathtaking.

Cons: The rooms were too simple for the price. Clean but basic. I would have expected some more nice details for the price.

Pros: Very friendly staff, perfect restaurant with a stunning view, garden area and food, very clean rooms. Definitely worth the money you pay!

Cons: The swimming pool seemed to be a bit primitive and can be improved considering the great view it has.

Cons: The room was too hot (average 27 degrees celsius even in the night) and not air condition. The internet in our room was too slow

Pros: Very comfortable bed, nice temperature in the room - the air conditioning is whisper quiet. Breakfast and staff were fantastic and the location is the best!

Pros: Excellent facilities and shuttle service into Ascona and Locarno. If you prefer to walk it is only a 15 min walk into Ascona to all the wonderful restaurants and entertainment. The rooms at the Favorite were bigger than most and very well equipped. Looking forward to returning next year.

Pros: Excellent. We had a great time at Delta. We went there because of the wellness center and it went beyond our expectations. The fitness center is well equipped and modern. The sauna and steam bath were really good. Very clean and comfortable. There are indoor and outdoor pools. Jacuzzi was also nice. You can play mini-golf, they have bikes. For the children it also amazing. It is worth it. The staff is excellent! All waitress were very competente and kind. I mean all of them! The breakfast was excellent!

Cons: We loved everything in fact. We had a wonderful weekend and nothing comes to mind. The juices were not fresh, but nowadays it is very difficult to find an hotel which offers fresh juices. A fresh orange juice would be perfect!

Pros: I loved the setting. The hotel is set up high overlooking Lake Maggiore. The gardens and outdoor areas are wonderful, and the terrace, for meals, is beautiful and offers magnificent views. I had a stunning view from my room. This hotel is generous and hospitable. The breakfast was outstanding.

Cons: Tea making in rooms is not offered, but the hotel owner, whom I met by chance, had one sent up for me. The shower, in the very small bathroom, was very tiny and surrounded by a plastic curtain, which is not ideal.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The beds comfortable, bathroom clean and bright, and the Pool znd grounds clean and well kept. We will certainly come back again.

Pros: Very nice staff, especially Mimo made us feel very comfortable. He exhausted all our wishes!

Cons: It would have been nice to have a kettle in the room, to enjoy some tea or coffee on our balcony while watching the beautiful scenery!

Pros: The view from the big balcony is amazing! Breakfast was also really good and the staff took good care of us. Highly recommended! I think it’s definitely great quality-price ratio.

Cons: If you want to stay at the lake-level, then you probably should chooce an other place, because this hotel is located little bit up hill. But on the other hand, it’s the reason why the view over the lake is so good.

Pros: The location as such is beautiful with a gorgeous view on the Lake of Locarno. I liked the single room with lake-view as it fully covered my needs. Very clean, everything functioned well and the bed was very good. Great breakfast with big variety and friendly personnel. Good price/quality ratio. Next time, I would certainly like to taste the "Gilde"-rated Restaurant, preferably in summer on the nice terrace.

Cons: I wanted to check-in at around 2 pm as I met with friends just after. Check-in was only possible at 17:00. For me no problem at all but for a family or else, this might be different. On the other hand it was beginning of November with rather bad weather and correspondingly low frequency early afternoon. But, as far as I could see, a telephone number was written down, possibly enabling an earlier, individual check-in between 14:00 and 17:00.

Pros: Nice view from balcony. Good restaurant and friendly service.

Cons: Everything, shabby, poorly run, awful location with nothing at all in the local area, a proper fawlty towers setup. Website is VERY selective over the photos it shows, trust me, the reality is far worse.

Pros: Cosy place with clean rooms. Walking distance to Ascona with many good restaurants. Good window view.

Cons: Was very dissapointed with the receptionist, which actually ended up being a director of the place. First of all, during check-in I got informed that swimming pool is not working (no warning before, no message during booking, nothing). I was upset cause I have picked this place for the swimming pool. Secondly, I had troubles with connecting my phone and laptop to Wi-Fi (for me and my mother) on what I got an absolutely unacceptable and rude comment that it is my mum's Russian phone that is not functioning well. I got internet in the end only for one device and with such an attitude that I should be grateful for it. I have travelled around quite a lot, but honestly don't remember being that disappointed with the service.

Pros: Position good and breakfast on the terrace very satisfactory. There is not a lot more one can say about the positive side of the hotel as the negatives out way the positives. The hotel coud do better in many ways.

Cons: The room was very small, the balcony was very small and the bathroom was very small. there was no airconditioning and no fridge in the room. We thought it the least value for money of all hotels we stayed in on our trip.

Pros: The Apartment was fantastic. We had Lake view and a spacious living room. The Furniture was extremely comfortable. Vert pleased.

Cons: If we wanted to use the kitchen we would have had to pay a lot more. Would have been nice to have a fridge to keep the wine cold. Also there was only one bathroom which is attached to the master bedroom. So only suitable for very good friends.

Pros: The view from the balcony is magnificent! The apartment was quite big and everything was taken care off. The reception staff was friendly and communication with the hotel great.

Cons: The place may seem a bit outdated but we were very happy with it.

Cons: We stayed on the 2 nd floor and had to carry our luggage up the stairs as there was no elevator. Because of this I do not think I will be able to stay there again. Also, breakfast was very expensive and they should at least offer coffee or tea in the morning free of charge.
