The hotel is old and although they did a refurbishment, the furniture is still pretty banged up. Most of the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms in one side of the hotel face straight into another apartment building. Cons (-) room air was loud, even when turned off the neighboring rooms air was heard. several small pillows that weren't comfortable. neighborhood has gone downhill. parking is $20 daily. $85/night too much and that's before parking fee.

Pros (+) The room was furnished beautifully and the location was very nice - there are a lot of places to visit around the hotel itself, and it's immediately above the Ballston metro stop so it's easy to get to the city.
Cons (-) The front desk staff were rude and didn't listen to the simplest of requests; the two times we had to interact with them, it was apparent we were an inconvenience. We were woken up both mornings by housekeeping standing in the room connected to ours chatting away as well as in the hallway yelling to one another at 7:30am.
