Pros & cons of staying in the Rembrandtplein neighborhood
The location is perfect for convenience to attractions of Amsterdam and places to eat. Amsterdam overall is so walkable and from this base it is easy to just set out & explore the city. The breakfast was ample and satisfying, plenty to choose from the buffet plus fresh preparations. It is also very close to a grocery store so you can easily get vittles & wine to consume in your room if you need to economize. My room was very small but I didn't need more and it suited my needs perfectly. Luxurious ensuite bathroom and good supply of hot water. Bed & pillows were comfortable & the duvet was cozy (my visit was in December).
Rembrandtplein is a touristy neighborhood that attracts a late-night crowd that can be rowdy & raucous well into the wee hours. Good thing that the windows are pretty thick. However the interior walls of the hotel are not so thick and if you have noisy young neighbors (as I did for the first two nights of my four-night stay) you will hear every note of their music. After enduring two nights of their nonsense I asked to be moved. The management was eager to oblige my request, but as it turned out the offenders were checking out that day, so I chose to remain where i was, and all was well after that.
Hotel, carpets, looked tired.
Great Location and Great Staff
Excellent location for walking Amsterdam
The hotel is centrally located to many of the museuems and sightseeing sites. Take Tram 4 from Centraal Station and you are within 100 m of the hotel back entrance near Rembrandt Square. Excellent staff and top quality breakfast start your day off right. Great value for the money.
size of the room was more than expected room was clean
interior rooms have a poor view. Little natural light in our room due to layout
Amazing location, very helpful staff. Room was very comfortable.
The location
We booked a double room but got two single beds pushed together. Pretty uncomfortable
Location
It was kind of old and the room was cold because of the windows
Location location location. The staff was nice but overbusy so sometimes they didn't have time to properly take care of everyone. Room was big and clean
A bit chilly in the room, they said it was not possible to regulate the heating because it was share with other rooms. Very rich breakfast buffet, but too much expensive for the price. Shuttle service came 40 minutes late and took 1h to get me (at last) to the hotel.
the location
the internet demand for payment. it should be free

No
Excellent rooms, most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, fabulous location and no noise atall, great aircon, all in all a five star experience!
Only being really fussy, there was no shower screen and although this could drain into the bathroom floor it wasn't sufficient to stop it reaching the carpet of the bedroom, not very good design!
great location
modern amenities, location
Need towel racks or hooks, neither room during two stays had a place to put wet towels to dry.
Quite yet central location.
Full breakfast charged even if you only wanted a cup of coffee. There were a few defects in the room (e.g. air conditioning too noisy to use a night)
