Cons: The floors were cold. No one was on staff after 9 pm.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: great room. friendly staff
Cons: some construction going on.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect! Plenty of room for my kids to have their own area and it was nice not sleeping in the "living room". Even the bathroom had plenty of space! The location was right by 3 different restaurants so plenty of food options also!
Cons: I wish they had a better breakfast. French toast was very hard and sausage had no flavor. But the kids always enjoy making their own waffles so that was nice.
7,5 Good
Pros: Liked having the kitchenette and the bedroom separated. Shower pressure was amazing!
Cons: Lighting in the whole facility seemed very dim making it feel dark and damp. Would have been nice to have the dishes put away from the dishwasher upon our arrival. Didn’t see the sign they were clean and in there till the 2nd day. Kitchen floor could use a good scrubbing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast lacked a variety, but it was okay. I did like the variety of tea! It was so nice to get to use a conference room for our large group on the first night of our stay.
Cons: More cereal options would be nice for the kids. The eggs were not good. On the second night of our stay, another meeting space would have been great. The lounge area in the lobby and the conference room were in use. We were rather crowded with our large group in someone's room.
5,0 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was not awful. the desk staff were pleasant, if useless. The set up wasn't bad, and I can imagine that if the place were clean, and the staff cared about things like functioning showers, the hotel would be ok.
Cons: The room was dark and very unpleasant. It was dingy, old feeling. In addition, our shower didn't work properly. I reported it to the hotel, but they did nothing to fix it. The whole place smells of chlorine.
6,0 Good
Pros: I love the space in the rooms and the location.
Cons: We have always stayed here and it is normally great, but this time wasn't as good. Our room reaked of the smell of fish! I told the front desk and nothing was done. We were gone most of Saturday and returned to a room that wasn't cleaned! Very disappointed
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the coziness of the room
Cons: It was a bit chilly in the rooms but the cold weather outside I figured had a bit to do with it

4,0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was clean.
Cons: The room looked and felt like I was living in a shipping container. The room was damn ugly. There was an echo whenever you talked, again see the shipping container analogy. Could hear everything in the other room. 12.95 breakfast, no thanks.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was amazing... best bed I ever slept on in my life. I will purchase a garden series bed in the very near future. They supply quality brand soaps and shampoos/conditioners. They saw I had an issue beyond my control and bent over backwards to help
7,5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast buffet.
Cons: Room door didn’t shut properly without extra effort, so anyone could walk in when we were out of the room. Shower unclean with hair on wall, mirror in closet really dirty. Hot tub wasn’t hot, but they fixed it later.
7,7 Good
Pros: Room size was good. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was pricey, but good.
Cons: We had some questionable stains on the carpet in our room. Thankfully our baby isn't mobile yet, if he was crawling I would have been more upset.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was great. Every interaction met or exceeded expectations.
Cons: We arrived a bit late & after checking in & freshing up in our room, we returned to the lobby to find the bar closing @ 10:00. We were able to find small bottles of wine in the concession area but were a bit disappointed. However, the woman @ the front desk comped them for us since we had also had to stop & report that our guest room door was unable on be locked when we tried to leave. She also moved us to another room with a fully functioning door lock but that necessitated us having to collect our suitcases, complete the move which caused us to pass the bar’s closing time. She graciously solved our dilemma which is commendable but it seems the housekeeping staff should have discovered that the room was unable to be safely secured.
7,5 Good
Pros: Nice place and friendly staff
7,0 Good
Cons: The beds were firmer than we prefer, it would have been nice to have a free breakfast for the price we paid for the room.

6,7 Good
Pros: Friendly staff and clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms.
Cons: Pervasive smell of sewage inside and out of the hotel, particularly around the pool area but also could smell in the room. Air conditioning comes on in aggressive loud intermittent bursts sounding like a jet engine by your head that wake you up/ keep you awake instead of the continual gentle hum found in other hotels. I did not take part in any of the amenities but wish I could've gone to the pool/hot tub! It is a great location off of the interstate and easy to get into Ames for dining and box stores like Target and Wal-Mart. I like that the flooring in the room was not carpet but it was still cushioned. I only grabbed a muffin on the way out from the breakfast but it looked like there were a good variety of food choices.
Cons: You can tell it is an older property but they have been trying to do updates.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was awesome. The breakfast was good. My daughter enjoyed the pool and the fitness room.
Cons: The wifi was too slow to work from. And there were ants in 2 of our parties rooms but we were given ant spray and a broom to deal with them.
4,7 Okay
Pros: clean.Breakfast lady was very nice and accommodating
Cons: air-conditioning very noisy, complain for 2 days but couldn't fix, so change rooms. Air conditioning was less noisy.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was a great addition. The room was spacious and the TV was big.
Cons: The indoor pool was clean but small. The bathroom was very small, the door hit the shower curtain and you had to maneuver around the door to get to the toilet.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were welcoming and friendly. Especially the gentleman who was on the desk in the morning during breakfast. He made an extra effort to make sure everyone had what they needed. This is a less expensive hotel but we have paid twice as much for lesser accommodation. I had a King room that was comfortable, quiet and very spacious for the price. I'd definitely stay here again if in Ames.
Cons: If you're visiting the university campus it's best to drove over in winter. But really, this is a tiny issue compared to value and service.

Pros: Clean and the staff was pleasant.
Cons: They wanted to charge me $15 Per day per pet so for my two day stay it would’ve been $60 that’s outrageous. They did lower it but it was still $15 per day. Which is very high. They should’ve mentioned that when I booked it.

1,0 Poor
Pros: The shower had good water pressure. The mattress would have been comfortable had the sheets been clean.
Cons: We thought with it being a Baymont it would be nice. The opposite was true. The carpet felt sticky, there were no towels in the room and the sheets did not feel clean. We are pretty confident the sheets had previously been slept in.
