Hotels near Fort Dodge Airport

Pros: The bed was fine. Room was clean. Hot breakfast and coffee was good.

Cons: The place looks a little run down- marks/chips in hallway paint and in the room, beat up chair and desk in lobby. Loud air conditioner in room.

Pros: This hotel was a little off the beaten path but was a great value. He front desk clerk was wonderful and check in was the easiest I have ever had. Room was large and comfortable.

Cons: We didn’t have any complaints.

Pros: Comfy bed. Clean room.

Cons: My only concern was the breakfast person had a hard time staying caught up. Food items were empty and the trash was overflowing. Just think with the softball tournament in town, and a full hotel, maybe there should be more than one person trying to do everything.

Cons: we were unable to apply our AAA discount due to booking on line. we have been told to book on line because it is beneficial but that is not the case.

Cons: No staff at front reception when checking in. There was a line of people wanting to check in.

Cons: Our shower was broken, and our bed was FULL of hair. It was painfully obvious that the sheets hadn’t been changed after the previous guest. They ended up putting us in a different room, which meant we had to pack up all of our belongings at midnight. When we checked out they did apologize and said they’d do something about it. Well, they ended up taking off $14. Yes, $14! What a joke. Not even worth the time it took for them to make the price adjustment. And the woman working the counter mentioned we were about the THIRD guests that had dirty bedsheets. Ew!

Cons: The exterior entries were filthy with cigarette butts everywhere. The entrance door glass hasn't been cleaned in a long time and the entry rugs were gross.

Pros: The King room with sleeper sofa was great!! Very large sitting area with TV. Separate TV by King bed and shower/bathroom just huge and so nice!!

Cons: The location was I. The middle of nowhere, a bit seedy looking from the outside. Staff was somewhat rude when I told them I would be paying in cash and I needed a paper receipt so I can be reimbursed from my employer.

Cons: Didn't go swimming because the pool looks so nasty, the room looked like someone slept in it right before we got in it, they charged me twice and gave me an over draft fee. They took the second charge off but I still get the over draft fee.

Cons: The floors in the bath & sink area were not all that clean, with bits of paper and dirt visible from standing in area.

Pros: It was twice the price of the competitor across the street. Twice as dirty and still under reconstruction. What a bad idea.

Cons: I had used dirty towels hanging on the door. A few folded up, soaking wet, under the sink. My room and the entire hallway reeked of marijuana. The staff did accommodate me. I will not use this hotel, possible Quaility Inn in general, ever again.

Pros: My little girl and I checked in later, after 7 pm closer to 8 pm. She was fussy while I was trying to check in. The woman working the front desk made small talk with me and made the entire check in process very quick and painless. She was great!

Cons: It’s dated and I was really disappointed the pool looked closed. As we passed by that area was dark. In no way would it keep me from staying again. It would have just been a nice way to unwind after a busy day.

Cons: This place is NASTY! The staff do nothing to fix the situation. Our room was dirty with food wrappers on the floor, the door didn't close correctly and it smelled horrid! The pool was a weird green color- super nasty!

Pros: Price. Room looked clean.

Cons: Poor internet speed. Understaffed. Breakfast bar was not checked regularly to keep it stocked. Snow all over the walkways. No salt used. Dog poop close to some entrances.

Pros: The front desk personnel was very pleasant, helpful and efficient. Other staff that I encountered during the stay were also very friendly. Free breakfast was a plus and free parking.

Cons: The smell at the room level was nasty. Don't know if it was cleaning products, old furniture and carpet, or pet smell but it was bad. Old hotel in need of walls painted, and some much needed updating in the 2 rooms that I was in during this stay.

Pros: The staff were very friendly and eager to help but because of the blizzard not many were available. The breakfast was very good and that room was very clean.

Cons: The toilet would flush automatically. A "phantom flush" if you will in the first room we were assigned and also in the next room we were assigned after bringing the first incident to managements attention.

Cons: Road noise on one side of the hotel. Room key had to be recharged every morning. One morning had no hot water and the following only warm. Car was purposely scratched in the parking lot. Local workers hanging out in the stairwell.

Pros: AWESOME VERY SAFE PROPERTY WITH ALL THE AMENITIES I NEED, POOL, HOT TUB, SAUNA, BAR & EVEN FOOD VERY SENSIBLY PRICED IN BAR. STAFF IS SO NICE & HELPFUL! LOVE THE MGR HER LADIES @ THE FRONT DESK & ALL THE HOUSEKEEPING & COOKING STAFF. GREAT PEOPLE

Pros: Room was clean enough could use time on some details but nothing horrible. Bed was comfortable plenty of pillows . Great breakfast each morning lots of choices area was well stocked and kept clean. The morning gal was wonderful. Would definitely stay again.

Cons: Garbage truck banging dumpsters before 4 am. Not motel fault but it was very loud. Check in was slow but looked like they were new and being trained. No biggie!

Pros: It was inexpensive but I didn't feel dirty being there. :) plus I love when hotels offer a decent breakfast, they should always offer breakfast in my opinion.

Cons: No. I was only there to sleep & have breakfast. Although they were out of waffle batter by 9am & there really weren't that many guests to have eaten it all.

Pros: Staff at check-in and check-out were excellent ! This particular motel provided a supper meal on Wednesday nights !

Cons: Bed was very disappointing. Was expecting a Queen size bed, but if it was it was the smallest , most uncomfortable Queen bed we have experienced !

Pros: The staff were so helpful; William was exceptionally thoughtful and professional, we were most appreciative. Mindful that this is a budget hotel, the overall experience met our expectations. The gym was a bonus and the breakfast area was clean and well maintained. The room was not 100% clean, but well appointed. And at a level commensurate with the price. Overall we were satisfied and certainly all the staff are the reason we’d stay again.

Pros: selection for diabetics was limited to 1 or 2 items; area was not kept clean...food on tables and floor.

Cons: room was to be non-smoking...curtains were replete with smoke and walls had smoke residue. room was not visited and/or cleaned by cleaning staff 2 of 4 days stay.

Cons: Totally filthy. Doors were not usable. Just all around a bad experience. Lamps did not work the hairdryer as well was broke the outlets did not all function.

The breakfast was cold coffee, hard oatmeal, and no biscuits wher available for the gravy at 8:30 in the morning.Ther wher never any towels by the pool and when you ask for towels you always get, we don't have any. No apology.

Cons: This stay at the Country Inn and Suites most defiantly did not meet our expectations. The tub would not drain. The toaster would not work. The toilet chain was broken so had to flush by sticking my hand into the water and pull up the rubber stopper.

Pros: I like the location and the price of this hotel it is just an older property and needs some updates.

Pros: The front desk person at night was great. She was checking me in, the phone was ringing, and she had a creepy old man staring at her as though staring would get her to ignore me and get him checked in instead, but she kept at her job no prob. Rooms are spacious, shower was hot, and everything was clean.

Cons: The Google directions from booking.com were abysmal. I was directed to a residential street in the middle of town after a couple of miles on a dark road. After I pulled over and got other directions, things went much better. The beds are pretty soft, so not too easy on the back.

Pros: Location was acceptable because the price was low.

Cons: From the hall way to the room, everything reeked of cigarette smoke! Either the cleaning people have no sense of smell, or they just don't care. I was literally sick to my stomach from breathing the air in that room. I'll gladly pay more and get a motel that doesn't smell like that. I'm not sure how you get away with listing them as "non smoking" rooms.

Cons: No elevator at all. No ice nor anything else on the 2nd floor. Not a good situation for tired travelers at the end of a long day. Security was not good: no outside doors would lock. In fact, the rear door would not even close.

Pros: Super 8 Not so Great We stayed two nights, our room was clean but small, the hair drier didn’t work, we informed the management and they were not able to replace the drier but allowed us to go to a different room and use the drier in that room and then return back to our room. That evening, we returned back to our room and the hair drier still was not replaced, we spoke to management again and they told us that it was on order. About a half an hour later, management replaced the drier. A prudent manager would have replaced the hair drier the first time we asked. The facial bar of soap was the smallest bar that we ever seen, there was one bottle of shampoo but no conditioner or body lotion. The grill on the air conditioner was broken out and the digital temperature display was not functioning properly, which made it difficult to reach a desirable room temperature in a timely manner. The window screen was half pulled out of the frame and was torn and there was a wooden dowel rod laying in the track of the window giving the appearance that the room had been broken into once. The recliner was well worn to the point that the vinyl on the head rest area was cracked in a spider web pattern. On Sunday morning, at 9 am, I was in the shower, housecleaning knocked on the door and wanted to clean our room. My wife told them to come back later and they requested a time to return and stated that they start cleaning at 9 am. This exact same scenario happened again on Monday morning, housecleaning knocking on our at 9 am. There was no “do not disturb” sign. The breakfast was very limited, there was only one waffle maker and biscuits and gravy, there were no scrambled eggs, sausage or potatoes. The breakfast bar was not replenished when items were depleted, we only seen one bagel on the tray each morning, the cream cheese bowel was empty, the apple juice was empty on Sunday morning and the orange juice was empty on Monday morning. The room was clean but not a value nor did the ame

Cons: TV turned on but couldn’t get any channels. Decided that it was too late at night to worry about it. Breakfast was disappointing for someone that can’t have carbs. No eggs, fresh or hard boiled.

Cons: The room smelled of mold and the bed felt like it was gonna to break. Most uncomfortable stay ever in a hotel!

Cons: The room really reeked of smoke. Once the air conditioner was turned on the smell went away. No supplies for coffee other than coffee packets, no hair conditioner. The breakfast could have been better. Some of the food was old.
