I have stayed at this hotel several times and I love the historic building and the peaceful location. It is simple but good value for money and has a spiritual atmosphere. On this occasion there was a family of wild goats in the area - they seem to have taken over the car park and gardens - so cute!
Not the fault of the hotel at all, but due to Covid 19 the nearby restaurant La Mirador de la Victoria was not yet open, and I do usually like to eat there when I stay at the hotel. Also due to Covid 19 restrictions the hotel kitchen was off limits to guests. I had checked this out in advance and took a picnic meal and drinks with me so I was prepared and did not have to drive to another area for my evening meal. The advantage however of the effects of the Coronavirus was that S'Illot beach was much quieter than it usually would be at the end of June and the sea was crystal clear and perfect for swimming and snorkelling.
The location is great, many places to hike.
Really rude personnel, the lady interrupted our breakfast to charge us as if we were to escape without paying. The room we got was much smaller than on the picture ( we got economy and paid for a bigger one) and they told us it was the one we ordered, which is not true. The bed was do uncomfortable, it gave me a back pain for the whole day.
Extraordinary location on the top of the mountain. The ancient building has been nicely refurbished and is very charming. We were lucky to get a room on the first floor with a bigger window. Uncomplicated checkin, even later in the evening.
The breakfast selection is (too) large and the quality suffers. Some things don't look too fresh. The kitchen is also open for the guests too use and some corners look a bit smudgy. Terrible coffee.
Amazing location. Nice view. Beautiful hikes around. Friendly cleaning lady who walks around a lot and sings while working.
felt a bit cool, instead of friendly and warm... no real welcome or explanation, but lot’s of rules (read: don’ts) on papers on the wall. By arriving we had to pay another 10% more because we where 2 guests; I booked a double-bed bedroom? Obvious? There was no explanation for that or a message in advance when booking. (Could also be a booking.com-thing of course) Couldn’t use the kitchen all the time and couldn’t sit on the terrace because we didn’t order breakfast even though there where lot’s of free spots... the bathroom smelled like mold, the air wasn’t very fresh in the room, maybe because it’s an old building. Still, it was quite pricy for the comfort we had. Just a note: Be aware the restaurant is closed in winter.
The view from our rooms was excellent. The rooms were clean and cosy. The hallway between rooms was romantic, where a bell was hanging at the end. The rooms were located on top of a church, which was quite unique and interesting. There is a nice walking path behind the building. At night, we could see countless stars from the parking lot next to the building. A towel folded like a swan was wonderful (attached photo).
It was a quiet place. We had to whisper all the time. The address shown in booking.com was not clear. In fact, we went to a wrong place because of the wrong information. The room was quite small.
