Pedestrian village facing Mont Blanc The prestige of a pedestrian-only village that is unique in Europe and enjoys direct access to the ski slopes. A 5-star residence offering spacious, tastefully decorated apartments. A magnificent Deep Nature ® spa endorsed by Cinq Mondes with a heated swimming pool.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Property was perfect location ski on and off in the village, right next door to supermarket. Underground parking was so easy especially as we had a lot of snow on arrival. Apartment was very big compared to others in resorts. Spacious good cooking facilities, had everything cooking utensils needed. few English tv channels always a bonus. toilets upstairs bathroom and toilet downstairs and one room had an en-suite. Storage space was restricted in rooms however, 3 cupboards with hanging space around the apartment. Indoor and out door poor was amazing so lovely quite in the day which I loved. Overall would 100% stay again the view from our room 1050 building opposite main reception was beautiful as we had the corner apartment
Cons: It says for 6 people we had 4 people staying Living room - one sofa - quite hard no pillows, then two very upright Sofa chairs, not comfortable with two hard small pillows. Could do with updating the soda facilities Dining table- very big spacious great for us but as was wooden no bench or chairs had any kind of cushion on so made it uncomfortable I’d sat on for too long
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location of the hotel and the resort in terms of the variety of runs and the ski in ski out aspect . Great that there is a free shuttle to other locations .
Cons: Cost of food and drinks way to high ! Shuttle bus to 1600/1800 very cramped which I know is difficult on poor weather days.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: The pools available for our resort are not clear and although this was sorted on site it should be more clear on website.
6,0 Good
Pros: it's ski in and out
Cons: no service for 6 days, st the end we have no toilet paper, no tea and coffee bags.

Pros: Our accommodation was perfect. Much better than we had imagined. Friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms comfortable and clean. The meals were amazing and didn’t expect such quality meals every night! Will be visiting again!
Cons: Would have liked the bar opening hours to be early. My daughter was desperate to play pool but never got a chance. It was always occupied by other children. Very minor issue. Our stay was fantastic!
8,8 Excellent
Cons: Too far to walk into town.
7,9 Good
Pros: Very modern and new.
Cons: We couldn’t get to it by car, had a nightmare finding it as you have to park somewhere and then they come and get you in a snow vehicle as the hotel is on the ski slope. Arriving late at night it was a nightmare!
7,5 Good
Cons: Price was high Too far from bars and restaurants and shops
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Staff were really friendly and accomodating. We were made to feel very welcome. Food was incredible and the Lounge was lovely. Ski in & ski out plus lifts to and from town from Flo on the snowmobile!
Cons: It would have been nice to have a bath but the showers are amazing.
7,5 Good
Pros: Julie, the manager, was very nice and keen on assisting us with anything we nedded. So good to ski in and ski out. The ambience at the hotel was very pleasant and made me feel very much at home. The deserts made by the dinner chef were delicious! Wonderful stay!
Cons: Didn´t have a support for the soap and shampoo in the shower box. Would be nice to have a gym in the hotel. Wished we had more snow and less crowds on the slopes.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great ski in ski out location on the slopes, there's a ski/boot storage room right outside your rooms, wonderful 3 course meals every night (I stayed almost 2 weeks and the menu never repeated), and lovely staff
Cons: Nothing really, but if I really had to pick at something, I would have liked proper hairdryers instead of the hotel-style ones attached to the wall, firmer pillows, and perhaps more hot items for breakfast. Also, because it's right on the slopes, it's a little further to walk to the shops (quickest route was about 8-10 minutes walk on the slopes through skiers, but I'd pick a ski in ski out place over proximity to the shops anytime!). And the short walk from each chalet/rooms to the main building for meals is not full enclosed (does have a roof), so if you're at the furthest end, there's a 2 minute walk in the cold each time.
Résidence Les Balcons de La Rosière - Bourg-Saint-Maurice - Building

7,5 Good
Pros: The location was just perfect. At the foot of the slopes and in the heart of all the restaurants and shops. Ski in and out and a room for ski storage. Very quiet at night very restful sleep.
Cons: The apartment wasn’t very clean. We had 4 people in our apartment and we only 2 sets of bed linens and towels, we asked for more and we got just 2 more towels.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: It’s just in such a great location. We had a two bedroom apartment and it was spot on for the 4 of us.
Cons: Nothing really. Internet could be a bit slow if you’re streaming films but that’s really picky!
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, we loved the log burner in our chalet. Well equipped and convenient for the slopes and all the shops/restaurants in Les Eucherts. Spa facilities were fantastic.
Cons: Beds weren't particularly comfy at all and we could never get the temperature right in the bedrooms!

Pros: Food brilliant lounge area chilled an comfy lovely staff rec facilities from ski hire to restaurant's to pubs great
Cons: Price of ale and wines

Arcadien Hôtel & Spa - Bourg-Saint-Maurice - Bedroom
8,6 Excellent (335 reviews)
R1 745+
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Arcadien Hôtel & Spa in Arc-1600, you'll be near ski lifts, just steps from Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry Ski Resort. Planning an event in Arc-1600? This hotel has facilities measuring 215 square feet (20 square meters), including a meeting room.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast buffet, cosy spa area, nice beds and good location. The design of the hotel and rooms was charming in many ways, but somewhat uneven/incomplete - superugly toiletpaper holders for example.
Cons: The hotel dinner was not very impressive, and the restaurant staff seemed rather inexperienced. Also, the toilet paper was like sandpaper.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were great and friendly, couldn't do enough to help. The food was better than I expected, the breakfast buffet was always well stocked and didn't run out the later it got and the set evening meal was always excellent quality with a choice of either a fish or meat dish. I assume that if you are vegetarian or vegan etc you have to let the hotel know before hand. Nearest ski lift was easy to walk to in boots, just up some steps around 50m away. Overall the hotel and location were spot on and our stay was a really good break with good skiing.
Cons: Nothing about the hotel or staff at all but the neighbouring private apartments had several late, rowdy nights til around 3am. Maybe just a one off and wouldn't stop me returning but one to note.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very clean room much bigger then expected: two rooms, two bathrooms. Free acces to Spa and swimming pool are a valuable plus. Very good breakfast in terms of room and products: we easily found gluten free food as requested. We arrived later then planned but staff kindly called us giving all necessary info to enter the structure in advance. Very kind and professional staff. Arc1600 centre village can be reached in 5 minutes walk and excelent restaurant Orso available at less than 100 mt.
Cons: Just minor things. Few room accessories requires some maintenance due to age. Some more towels would help. Confirmation file was reporting info for winter season not valid for summer season (i.e. longer check-in time)
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money in a ski station.
Cons: Air in the room is very dry.

7,0 Good
Cons: Reception staff excellent. Restaurant staff seemed a little chaotic and would benefit from training or leadership to help them. But this didn’t take away from the overall experience of a great stay.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Amazingly refurbished hotel with nice fabric, comfortable and cozy. Spacious room, stunning view over the valley for some of them, large king bed, nice and well equipped bathroom.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We were a family of 4 with 8 year old twins staying half board for a week during half term. The hotel is on the slopes, it’s a 20 meter walk to nearest piste and you can ski back into hotel going a little off piste, and it’s a 8 minute walk into Les Arcs (we timed it!). The staff were friendly and always helpful. The food is buffet style and was lovely with different a choice of food options and a menu that changed daily (we did think the food at first sitting 7pm seemed a bit better cooked than the later sitting at 8.30pm). Room was clean and beds really comfy. Kids loved the pool, games room, climbing wall and free candy floss every afternoon and the adults enjoyed cocktails and drinks round the fire in the bar. I would definitely recommend the hotel.
Cons: Kids dinner buffet and choices, one of our twins is picky and struggled some of the days and sometimes the kids buffet food was cold or dry. But the children can still have the main buffet as well. Also even though we booked half board on we had to pay an additional 15€ per child a day for dinner, which was not made very clear when I originally booked via, I only knew in advance this would be the case from reading previous reviews.
Pierre & Vacances Residence Le Quartz - La Plagne-Tarentaise - Building
8,5 Excellent (58 reviews)
R3 701+
Overview Reviews
Your residence just a few steps away from the ski slopes A particularly welcoming, pedestrianised resort in the Paradiski ski area. A residence at the foot of the ski slopes, a stone's throw from the resort centre (shops, restaurants, Deep Nature® spa, etc). Traditional architecture and comfortable apartments with balconies.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Customer care was excellent especially from reception staff.
Cons: The residence met our expectations.
7,9 Good
Pros: Perfect ski in ski out location.
Cons: Toilet could have been cleaner
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Receptionist Location
Cons: Shower sprayed out of stall
7,9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Bit small
7,9 Good
Pros: Clean, comfortable accommodation. Great to be right be the piste. Convenient ski locker at piste-access level. Helpful receptionist including very handy morning delivery of baguettes and croissants. Convenient, although typically-expensive car parking.
Cons: A little far from the village. You could walk up via the piste or through the covered car parking, quite an effort either way. Because the village was above the accommodation we tended to stop by the Spar on the way back from slopes and became expert at ski-ing back to the apartment carrying a bag of shopping. The kitchen could have done with a few more cooking utensils but that's only a minor quibble.
Residence le Chalet de Montchavin - La Plagne-Tarentaise - Bedroom

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location near slopes, lifts and local amenities. Village is nice. Site manager was helpful. Instructions for arriving/departing were clear. Apartment facilities are great, really useful to have two bathrooms
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly & helpful service.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location; easy access from Geneva. Easy to get to both Les Arcs and La Plagne ski areas. Village had a nice atmosphere with everything you need for a great hoiliday
7,9 Good
Pros: Positon and peacefullness.
Cons: Sofa bed was not comfortable.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent and the apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Short distance to sky station is a good value.
6,0 Good
Pros: The apartment was quite small but well decorated and very warm. Ski storage was ok. Well signed for those arriving late. Overall=good.
Cons: Apartment's kitchen area is very small, no oven just two hot plates. No towels. General areas not clean. Hot tub looked like the whole French Rugby team had just finished their post match bath, so got out quick. Post-stay cleaning doesn't seem to be included in price. The Manager put notes on door and in rooms saying he expected apartment left "perfectly clean" or there would be a charge/fine of 75-150 euros (pity his own areas weren't as clean). This made us quite angry and we were determined to avoid this and cleaned the whole place before we left.
6,3 Good
Pros: The room was perfect; impressive fold out bed in the very nicely shaped living room. The breakfast corner was great for eating and reading. Very good kitchen, beatiful view outside the windows. Also, the balcony was lovely. The Chalet d'Anaïte has a fabulous location. It's a 3 minute walk to the Montchavin-Les Coches ski-lift (and you can actually ski right back to the hotel if you know where to go off piste at the right moment.. otherwise, skiing back to 5 minute distance is easy and fun). Lastly, I thought the La Plagne (part of Paradiski) area was amazing with many kinds of routes (I loved the forrest route to Chambery, and all the routes coming down to the Verdons Sud lift) The area is very pricey though: a day pass is about €40.
Cons: Room for improvement: the (nice and helpful) staff should be able to speak better English (or at least slower French). Personally, I'd have liked the blankets to be heavier than the thin fleece ones they provide. You should bring your own towel, otherwise they can provide a set for €`10.
5,7 Okay
Cons: We booked 1 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks and it was confirmed. Shortly after that hotel contacted us and informed that there was an overbooking and 1 bedroom was only available for 1 week of our stay and offered studio for another week. We were not happy but had to accept it.
7,6 Good
Pros: It was everything perfect. Ours was a small apartment with a sofa bed so little space was left when opening it.But it was defenitely worth the price both for the details with which the apartment was designed and for the location.
Cons: The door giving to the garden didn't close well so we were a bit worried during the night that someone could easily come in. Remember to take your own towels with you because they are not included in the price. They cost 10 Euro each.
7,6 Good
Pros: No frills but nice bar, good location and excellent value for money
6,0 Good
Pros: Almost ski-in ski-out position, nice refurbished apartment, spa
Cons: Being charged €100 for cleaning of the apartment for a 4-day stay. A 7-day stay a month earlier in the more upmarket resort of St Anton in a higher standard hotel only cost us €60 for cleaning.
7,6 Good
Pros: It had just been reovated really well and was beautiful inside. The jacuzzi was great. The bar is really nice.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: excellent value for money, rooms clean and comfortable, good bar, and relax area, staff very helpful and friendly.
3,2 Mediocre
Pros: design and the plan of the appartment
Cons: sauna and fitness are ugly inspite of it is the new
6,0 Good
Pros: The room was very warm and clean
Cons: Having to Clean the room or be charge 150e

Pros: Lovely friendly staff, especially in the dining room. Very friendly and if you don’t fancy the special there is always the Carte.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Great location and nothing more...
Cons: The team doesn't go out of their way to help. A reasonable room, but the hotel facilities are meager. There is no tea / coffee set in the room. Very small and paid pool table. Entry to the spa requires a charge of towels ... while the towels in the room have not changed all week.
7,1 Good
Pros: Good location beside piste
Cons: Some of the food was average, ran out of beer for 2 days
7,0 Good
Pros: Friendly staff member Jessica. Rooms were clean.
Cons: The breakfast and dinner buffet was always already quite empty when we arrived. Quality of veggie food was low.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Bed was very comfortable
Cons: The staff seemed to change there mind about the closing time of the bar each night..... on the Friday night the Barman closed at 21:30 despite the bar being full. Disappointing!
6,0 Good
Cons: Le Vancouver could be so much better . I want to give an objective, honest review The Restaurant .... Both going for breakfast and our evening meal was disorganised and slow. It didn't appear that there was enough staff on to manage . Tables were not cleared until the last minute and it had a feeling of no leadership. That said, the staff did their best and were always friendly. My daughter is vegetarian and when I asked for the vegetarian option , the waitress always had to go and ask what it was? On the third day I went to reception to enquire why there was only the main option on the daily menu and suggested the vegetarian option should be shown as well. The reception manager smiled , put her head on one side and told me that 'they don't have many vegetarians , maybe one a week so its not necessary' ?!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing . The receptionist asked if I was vegetarian and I explained that I am not but I do not eat Lamb ( which was that evenings offerings ) and I wanted the veg option. She then explained that it depends what the chef is cooking and proceeded to look at me blankly!! They are now displaying the veg option daily. But …. sadly the options are poor , the veg coconut curry is interesting ( looked more like last nights veg with a bit of balsamic drizzled on it ) The meat dishes were tasty and well presented but I have to conclude that the chef has no concept of dishes that do not contain meat. The Bar is a large spacious area with plenty of room to sit down . Sadly it is not well stocked and by Wednesday there was limited beers , no Vodka, Aperol and limited other spirits. The waitress would smile and say that the bar would 'probably ' be stocked again on Friday or Saturday! ( I wouldn't mind but we were there last week which was relatively quiet , no idea how they will cope now its the French half term!! ) I hope this review is taken on board by management and changes made....
7,9 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast and location. Can walk or ski straight from hotel. Beautiful views.
Cons: Water was dripping through a ceiling light fitting in entrance lobby of our room, so for health and safety reasons we were requested by the staff to move to a smaller room without a balcony.
7,0 Good
Pros: good location
Cons: access to reception very poor lack of management presence badly stocked bar

Pros: Hotel is in a great location with direct access to the piste. We booked half board and were happy with breakfast and the dinner options provided. Reception staff were friendly.
Cons: We booked a twin room in the hotel but were assigned an apartment in the residence instead. Didn't get room service every day as promised and the beds weren't very comfortable.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The view from our room was amazing showing down into the valley of the mountains
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location for ski in and ski out is exceptional! Exactly as they say, and the spa facilities were lovely, a little small for the number of people visiting the hotel but still nice.
6,4 Good
Pros: Excellent buffet breakfast Wonderful views of slopes and mountains Good leisure facilities (ie pool, sauna, etc)
Cons: Very slow service in restaurant Limited menu choices in evening
7,7 Good
Pros: I liked the very Alpine wooden decoration and design. I thought the food was excellent. The receptionists were very helpful. The bedroom was not large but was well equiped and everything worked.
Cons: It was quite far from the restaurants and bars in the centre of Belle Plagne.
2,8 Mediocre
Cons: This hotel was very expensive for a poor quality hotel. The room was small and pokey, the towels were tiny and rough like dishcloths, the bath was so small you could not lie down without your knees touching your chin, the 'whirlpool bath' button did not work, we had to pay extra for the parking even though we had already paid an exorbitant price for the hotel.

Pros: Room was clean upon entry, shower was hot.
Cons: The room had little to no amenities, no bar fridge, tea or coffee, bottled water, was very minimal, the tv was tiny, so iPad it was, sauna wasn’t working at the time, the jacuzzi was luke warm, to be honest the snow on the mountains wouldn’t have defrosted in there..would have been better hot being winter and basically the bottom of the ski mountains, the pool jets were hotter, towels were lucky to wrap around my skinny frame, and being average height my feet hung off the end of the bed.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and welcoming. Easy to find. Good dinner at an excellent price.
Cons: Bedrooms on the front have a lovely view, but the road is a bit noisy.

Pros: Nice view
Cons: No air conditioning No kettle Not enough plugs Musty smell Hand held shower hose (should have been fixed to the wall) Tiny room for two people with suitcases

Pros: Great location, well equipped and compact apartments, great pool and sauna.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful, they organised our slope passes and ski rentals. There was a pool and sauna we used almost every day. The flat was ideal size for 3 people and had a great view. The spar was next door making it easy to nip down and grab groceries and there were 2 chair lifts and a baby slope 5 mins walk away.

6,7 Good
Pros: Great location on the side of blue run that takes you to Bellecôte and three chair lifts and a gondola (It is a steep blue, so not for beginners). Swimming pool and spa great for winding down after a day on the slopes.
Cons: The rooms are a bit tired and can do with updating. The lift didn’t work when we were there, which was a bit of a struggle with young family and our room was facing the front of the hotel and it was noisy in the mornings with rubbish collections and deliveries.
6,7 Good
Pros: Location is ski/ ski out. Enough space and facilities. Easy parking. Shower room and separate bathroom. Nice swimming pool and gym which are free. One good semi formal restaurant attached to the building.
Cons: The whole place needs renovating. Old stained toilet and only one in a flat for potentially 6 people. Lifts didn't work properly and not at all on the departure day. Some of the plates were dirty on arrival. The pizza restaurant is ghastly. We were only offered the 3 course set menu for dinner. No choice.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Had a lovely stay again, although lack of good sleep. The location and Belle Plagne are great.
Cons: Single beds are far to close together in the twin rooms in this apartment. Would be better off cutting off the bottom of the wardrobes and putting bedside tables in between the beds so they are farther apart. This was the only down side but it is a big downside and would put me off returning again although I have stayed all your apartments, hotel and chalets previously without this being such an issue. I think I would only return if I could book an apartment based on a room plan, like you can with the Montana chain. Shame as the rest is great.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location excellent for ski in/out Small but useful pool & gym
Cons: Lifts in block 3 did not arrive at floor -1 ( pedestrian acces- you can go down but not up which is difficult if you have heavy cases) The lift down from floor 3 was not working when we left so again had to carry all our cases
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff, quality of beds and furniture all fantastic
Cons: Ski boot lockers not heated
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The views were nice. In the winter when the hotel is operating fully it may be ok, especially as it would be ski in and out.
Cons: Absolutely miserable as it was more or less closed. The internet didn’t work for 2 of the 3 days and on the 3rd day it was terribly weak dropping of constantly. The lifts didn’t work at all, thus a five floor descent and climb if one ever had to leave the apartment to get anything. The pool didn’t open at the advertised time. In fact still closed 40 mins after advertised opening time. There was quite a crowd gathering so I took it upon myself to walk around the building to investigate. I found a window open to the gym which I entered and then was able to open the locked door to leave in the waiting crowd. Apparently one of the staff forgot to open the door. There is hardly any staff thus reception operational times are very limited. This is a problem when there is a lot going wrong. The cleanliness was atrocious. The crockery and some of the pots and pans were filthy. The apartment smelt right from the get go. The toilet walls were splashed with poo and wee. One of the bathrooms had mildew on the ceiling and shower area. Not enough pillows or bedding for the amount of people booked to stay. The common areas of this hotel need some serious work. The chap on reception to be fair to him was nice and understood our frustrations but seriously this place is a cross between Chernobyl and Fawlty Towers. In the summer time just don’t bother coming at all!
6,3 Good
Pros: The restaurant downstairs - Le Chalet - was very nice and had a lovely view.
Cons: The mattress was old, stained and dipping in the middle so it was not comfortable to sleep. The bedroom door could not close because of the bed being in the way. We were next to a ski locker which was noisy in the morning and late at night (because the Gondola runs until 1am). The lift did not work. This was a shame because we had a nice oven, a nice sitting room and dining area and it was a nice warm room.
5,4 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: Room was not ready - given key at 5pm And room had not been cleaned yet. Felt a bit dirty, lack of towels, staff were pretty poor. Quite noisy
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good size apartment, very warm, quick ski in/out access.
Cons: Apartment a bit dated. Mildew in a shower room. Automatic light sensor for the main areas is a bit annoying for the person sleeping in the open plan living room.
