Excellent 10,0
Pros: Loved everything about the property . Privacy Good food Hospitable people Well functional amenities
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Private garden, quietness, restaurant, beach, pier
Cons: No bath, sometimes bad Wi-Fi, no access to the sea after checkout
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great Experience here at Sevi Boutique. Nice people, good food, nice resort! Recommended!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amazing service. Big and clean rooms. Food is tasty. A big advantage- you can eat your breakfast all day.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Zanzi resort is nice and the idea with the private villa is great!
Cons: The beach is really small and rocky. Most of the wines in the menu are not available and the staff did not know about it! They often made mistakes with the orders and could not help us with the information that we need.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Food is excellent, but whole package expensive because they give you a villa for 4 but we were 2.. prison island and Stone Town relatively close. It’s very isolated and quite...maximum 2 days stay I recommend...
Cons: Swimming terrible, road to resort 30 minutes on a terrible road, you get sick every time you go...
Good 7,0
Pros: Private beaches small scale
Cons: Old tired fix n fit needs investment not 5 star ( check out white Sands) Service levels should be sharper Quality of fix and fit eg sun beds are substandard for price charged
Excellent 10,0
Pros: an awesome place, its definitely worth going.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Amazing staff, well located, thoughtfully decorated, brilliant breakfast and fantastic wifi.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: .
Cons: .
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The cozy and illustrious place is an old merchant home renovated in perfect conditions. The owner and manager Daniela was of great support and a full source of information about all things to know. The support in those difficult times was outstanding! Due to the pandemic it was chosen to eat in the hotel every evening. To keep it short: FANTASTIC! In summary if I ever will return to Zanzibar I will definitely return to the Zanzibar Palace!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Allmost everything. Great breakfast, great personell, large rooms, good location...
Cons: Some periods of the day, the wifi were really slow. The other minus for me personally, as I struggle with bad knees, is the lack of elevator. For most people this won’t be a problem though... 😊
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Lovely, very traditional hotel in the old Zanzibar town - Stone town. Everything around is reachable within walking distance. The best part of our room was the open terrace with bathroom and sun deck. We will surely be back.
Cons: Breakfast selection could be a bit wider. Keep in mind, there will be some stairs to reach the room.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The whole team is really friendly and they do a fantastic good job in each area - waiters, room-service, kitchen and last but not least the management. They help with anything - even with an adapter for onward journey. The room I was in, is very spacious, with walk in shower, bath tub, nice sitting area, even plants and the view over stone town to the ocean. You are in 2 minutes at the food market, old fort and other places you want to visit.
Cons: Well this is something individual... I don't like the use of insectspray on my moskitonet. But then i asked them to not use it. :) And if someone is not good on feet, ask for a room on lower levels (I was on top.) And well, for a longer stay, I would miss a pool.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Only reason I hate to give such a good review is that I want to keep this hidden gem to myself.. what a mesmerizing place, on a perfect location and the personnel couldn’t be better. We loved it here so much!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: We've stayed here multiple times and it never disappoints. Perfect location to explore Stone Town and the decor is the traditional Swahili style. Incredibly helpful staff assisted us in any way that they could. We'll be back!
Cons: Shame that the restaurant wasn't open for lunch/dinner.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Location in centre of stone town
Good 7,0
Pros: Cozy. Well decorated. Very friendly and helpful staff members. amazing location.
Cons: The breakfast could be better. Dental kits could be offered. And a bigger ration of water everyday.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: It was almost perfect. It's a really good spot, right in the middle of the old town, short walk to the sea and the old fort, etc. Room is great, breakfast on the rooftop is really special too. The building itself is amazing, a real gem. Full of character.
Cons: No hot water to speak of. It's a real shame, because despite everything else being perfect, for the money, you'd expect a hot shower to start/end the day/freshen up after a day exploring. Not a big deal, but something that seemed unnecessary. I mentioned it, but there wasn't anything to be done.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Service and the staff, make you feel like home
Cons: Would be nice to include a dinner at the hotel otherwise great!

Excellent 10,0
Pros: I had an amazing view from the window. The room interior was very atmospheric. The terrace for breakfast, where the bar and restaurant are located is nice and one of the best choices in the city to enjoy the sunset with a refreshing drink. Stuff is friendly and always ready to help. Close to another place which is highly recommended to be visited if you’re a coffee fan - the coffee house. Coffee there is something fantastic. Thanks a lot for a lovely stay!
Cons: Wi-fi works only at reception or at the terrace, no wi-fi in rooms at all.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great services, wonderful breakfast, and MR. BAKARI is an excellent man and a loyal and highly professional hotel manager that increases the company's good name. Thank you Mr. Bakari, I would like to meet you again one day...
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Nice, big rooms. Amazing and helpful staff. Great roof top bar with wonderful view on the city.
Cons: No internet connection in rooms.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great breakfast, very interesting architecture, beautiful rooms, lovely service.
Cons: No WiFi in the rooms (I think it's impossible in buildings made of stone but could be wrong). On the photos there seems to be a pool at the terrace, but it's actually a very small one (you can wet your feet but that's it). It's still a very nice rooftop restaurant though.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The decor
Cons: A bit hard to find, even with GPS.

Pros: The staff
Cons: The Wifi was not working properly

Pros: Very clean and beautiful

Excellent 10,0
Pros: We loved the authentic Zanzibar decor with stunning courtyards and pool areas in the perfect location on the beach in Stonetown.
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8,0
Pros: the best part of this hotel, was the food, amazing food, better than many restaurants around. Staff very kind and available to help you finding a nice and fair tour without letting you spend more than a normal price.
Cons: The bathroom was smelling bad unfortunately by the night, and the room was small, if you have to do any kind of work with a laptop, there is no table and the connection is poor.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Almost everything's is very good The staff ,the location, the housekeeping, the furniture ,, I recommend it for all since it located in the capital of zanzibar and near to everything
Cons: The speed of the Internet was slow and the TV channels is less than expected
Good 6,0
Pros: The hotel is quaint, very much like an old Omani mansion. I changed rooms because the room #105 advertised as a premium room with sea view, had a partial sea view and was taken over by an immense bed. I moved to #207 with a full sea view.
Cons: The food was terrible. Everything was overcooked, and unappetising. The swimming pool is in a courtyard, right next to open air restaurant. ( I felt awkward around local people in traditional clothes, and women with headscarves, were staring at female swimmers in swimsuits. Also, you can't enjoy the loungers on the beachfront as locals swarm around selling things, and generally just stare at women in bathing suits.
Good 6,0
Pros: Great breakfast and really nice staff. Beautiful old furnitures, you almost feel like sleeping in the old colonial times. It's in a great location.
Cons: Me personally l prefer more spacious and modern style bedrooms, but this is harder to find in the city center at an affordable price. Taxis arranged by the hotel are quite expensive.
Okay 4,0
Pros: the location, breakfast
Cons: They moved me to three different rooms, always some problems with facilities. Poor internet connection.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location is great, near everything. Breakfast is also is nice. Room is fine, but the balacony is really nice with the view. Dont miss the sunset from the swiming pool on the first floor.

Okay 4,0
Pros: Clean
Cons: Mattress very uncomfortable and no consideration for people sleeping with constructions going on in the room next to us at 9am although there were very few people in the hotel. Also was very expensive not worth $275 per night at all, ive stayed in Super Luxury hotels for that price per night and this is not one of them.
Excellent 9,0
Cons: Superb team of staff who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was ok.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great location in the heart of Stone Town but with views to make you think you’re on a desert island. The variety and taste of the breakfast was great. Drinks / cocktails by the pool were also very well made (and strong 😁). The staff are what make this place special, with a special mention to Ally and Suleiman, who were a joy to be around.
Cons: They could perhaps do with a few more sun beds around the pool, as there always seem to be a slight shortage.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Staff were exceptional

Good 6,0
Pros: Great location, very central. Rooms are big and comfy, breakfast was great and generous.
Cons: We were given a room on ground floor next to walking noisy street although the hotel was empty (only few couples). In addition the rooms nearby were being renovated and their doors were left open so strong smell of fresh paint was all over the hall. Reception staff were hardly smiling and welcoming, not the best first impression

Good 7,0
Pros: Location is cool
Cons: Room service! It took them 1 hour to get our food and it was not edible! It was by far the worst club sandwich i had in my life! There was a bad smell in the sandwich, the bacon was not chewable, the eggs were not cooked, the bread was hard! Wouldnt recommend eating there
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Nice place, all staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean. Recommend to anyone looking for a hotel stay in stone town.
Cons: Every was great.
Excellent 8,4
Good 7,4
Pros: Big clean comfortable beds, spacious room, great wifi, fridge in the room, excellent tv reception with lots of channels
Cons: We didn't have hot water the first day. They fixed it the second, but the water pressure wasn't very good- I don't have thick hair and it took awhile to rinse the shampoo out... It's set back a ways from road so you need help with your bags an the food in the restaurant is limited and prices are high. Better breakfast at the Serena

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Large and airy room with a balcony, sea view and huge bathroom. It was spotlessly clean and the hotel had a lovely open air restaurant on the roof overlooking the sea. Really good value and a perfect location next door to the sultans palace museum.
Good 6,0
Pros: The rooftop view was excellent. The Hotel also had an excellent pool and sitting area. Beyond this, the kitchen staff went out of their way to accommodate my dietary restrictions which was much appreciated. The internal decor and room were very aesthetically pleasing, and all staff were exceptional in their customer service.
Cons: The value of the lodge is twice as much as its four star competitors (we stayed at Kisiwa House earlier in our trip) but the only additional value was a nicer ocean view and a pool (not worth 2x as much in my opinion). We had originally requested a "sea side balcony view"; however, it overlooked a cemetary and then the sea...not the most romantic vista...so we changed rooms to one without a balcony but then had to pay the same cost in the end which didn't make any sense. Furthermore, the hotel didn't offer any lunch or dinner options. We were there during Ramadan so it was understandable that no lunch options were available. However, no dinner?? Also, all of their Spa activities were closed due to Covid. I respect this; however, this information was not available when making the reservation. If you're going to advertise lunch, dinner, cocktails, and a spa and you don't provide any single one of those on arrival, that's not great. I respect these services might not be available due to Religious Holidays or the ongoing pandemic, but you should alert your potential customers of that before arrival. Furthermore, your costs should be reduced if these value propositions aren't provided.
Mediocre 3,0
Cons: This Hotel is not a 4 star for sure, considering all hotels from 2 to 5 starts that I was already hosted. This hotel is 2 starts. Safe lock inside the bathroom. Space to hand clothes inside the bathroom. Lunch was not available and only became available after my complaint to the manager (according her due to the low season they changed the system only to Breakfast and Dinner), I'd travelled with a 2 years baby, so it was a key point for me to choose the hotel. Shower was not working properly
Mediocre 3,0
Cons: The toilet didn’t flush and was broken. When we asked them to fix it they did not. When we asked for a different room they said none were available, however when we spoke to the manager the next morning, she said there was a room available- which begged the question - why we couldn’t change rooms to have a working toilet the night before. The manager refused to take money off our stay and instead offered us a discount for next time - however when the discount came through via WhatsApp - it was a blanket digital flyer for the upcoming low season. It’s a shame because we’ve stayed there before and enjoyed it. But won’t be staying again.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful place to stay. Nice breakfast on the roof top restaurant. Very comfortable place, perfect location
Cons: All was good.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Stunning and beautifully decorated hotel. Loved the location, just a short walk to the main road and Forodani Gardens or take a left turn and explore the narrow alleyways through the town. Wonderful view from the rooftop restaurant over the ocean all the way to Prison island. Lovely spacious rooms and huge comfortable beds. Breakfast was great, big portions and a few options to choose from. Smiling, friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Pros: Room were spacious, well equiped and we were always given a nice balcony. Staff was very nice and breakfast made with care and love. Thanks again! We returned to the hotel on our trip and would come back again for sure if we are travelling to Stone Town again!
Cons: Nothing particular
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: I booked 3 nights, charged for 4 nights, asked for refund, but no sign as of now. No bar, no lunch or evening meals available, but all stated on booking.com

Pros: Great location 2 mins walking to night market and the beach to see the sunset. The decor was really cool, spacious rooms with balcony and comfy beds!!! For the price it was perfect!
Cons: Nothing! All was good!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Mr juma, Salim and I think it was khamis were very friendly and attentive to our every needs and requests plus it’s in a great location if you are visiting stone town not at all far from the beach and couple of minutes from the famous night food market. 10 stars to this hotel.
Excellent 10,0

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location, people and professionalism
Cons: Need a refresh, too old. Also it was a bit overpriced, but I guess it is zanzibar...

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Manager is very accommodant and staff so NICE... GO THERE
Excellent 9,7
Pros: First the staff was amazing and so was the location. I liked being close to stone town and the airport but still having a secluded beach.
Cons: The bathrooms could use an update but rest of the room was great

Okay 5,0
Pros: Location, staff and old design and deco.
Cons: It was a bit dirty, lights not working, electronic appliances not working, fridges not working, terrace not open, restaurant not open, management not anywhere around to take responsibility :( beds well there were problematic insects around.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was fine
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: The location is good.
Cons: I was advised I could check in early, however I got to the hotel later than expected (around 3pm) and the room was still not ready. The only friendly member of staff I found was on the rooftop who kindly brought me a glass of water, however service was slow and they didn't seem to have much on offer. When I checked in there were no towels and only one pillow on the bed. When they brought the towels and bath robe it was only for one person (the booking was for 2 people) so I had to ask again for towels. The generator was broken on the first day, however these things happen. There was no hot water and when I asked the person in charge in the morning if this could be fixed he said yes, he would call someone to do this. However when I returned in the afternoon, the hot water boiler was still not fixed and the manager stated that all I had to do was switch on the hot water, yet I explained to him again that this was not working so only then did he call a workman. I had no not water for the entire of my 2 night stay. The shower was falling off the wall and the toilet also didn't flush well. I would not recommend this hotel in Stone Town; I've stayed in many different types of accommodation in town over varying budgets and there are plenty of other options that are much better value for money.
Good 6,0
Pros: Quiet location, suitable for short stays while waiting for the plane.
Cons: Steep stairs. The smell of sewage. Weak wifi in the room. Be careful not to bump your head on the top of the bed.
Poor 1,0
Pros: Breakfast is good and they have beautiful rooftop restaurant.
Poor 1,0
Pros: - the staff was polite and the handyman technician helped us with whatever he could - nice rooftop tables where is the breakfast with awesome view to the ocean. However, the bar at the rooftop is not working
Cons: - we were at room 102 for 1 night. After the check in at 12 we didn't have water and electricity till the evening. We know that electricity is a problem for the whole island but the other hotels that were paying again $55 were power generators so no such problem. The room 102 smells disgusting so we were moved to room 103. It was smelling quite the same but we had no other option. The lady manager was very rude and shouting at us. The hotel is situated between other buildings and not sunlight and fresh air. The room were very dark and the windows are in front of the walls of the other buildings. Wifi is good...but when you have no electricity - no wifi at all. And we didn't have electricity for most of our time there. We were for a month in the beautiful island of Zanzibar and this was our worst stay.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: Extremely polite and friendly staff...great locality...excellent food, especially the breakfasts.. close to the airport...
Cons: Low water pressure in shower...not enough electrical plug connections near the bed to charge phone or laptop
Good 6,0
Pros: The staff
Cons: Location was really bad
Good 7,0
Pros: My partner and i enjoyed the dinner the buffet was amazing ,the stuff are very friendly , very clean and spacious property i would recommend many more people to visit Zanzibar beach resort
Cons: the water pressure was not strong enough and the toilet was not flashing well. too many cat as well :-(
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: We booked this hotel on our last night in Zanzibar as it was close to the airport and instead of travelling 1hr30min from where we were staying thought it was better to stay close as our flight was early in the morning. 1. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. We arrived and the first thing they told us was that we need to pay again for the room, they had mistakenly refunded booking.com. I refused to pay and told them to sort out their mess. 2. When we ordered food, the food we received was warmed up food that was not freshly cooked. You could even tell this food was in the fridge. The worst part is this was the most expensive food plates I had had in Zanzibar. Their food is overly priced, a drink cost 3,500 Tanzanian shilling. Anywhere else in Tanzania a drink costs max 2,000 Tanzanian shillings. 3. The pool was dirty and boy oh my the name is so deceiving. Be WARNED there is no usable beach here. There is a small piece of land behind the hotel which connects to the ocean and the water there is filthy. 4. There is no hot water, the furnishings are old. The whole hotel needs refurbishment. There are better hotels in and around the area for the same price.
Okay 4,2
Pros: Conveniently located near stone town and at the beach front
Cons: THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE SHOWERS when I repeatedly kept asking the staff they would always give the same answer...there’s someone coming!!! No one came. I was dependent on swimming and taking a French bath from the sink water. Thank God I was only here nights. If my stay was any longer I wouldn’t have dared. And the staff are ridiculously SLOW.. come on. Run a business or shut down already.
Okay 5,4
Pros: The waitron staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The construction outside the resort made excursions difficult. My guest traveling with me fell and scratched herself. Had I been informed about this I would have booked elsewhere!
