We booked this hotel on our last night in Zanzibar as it was close to the airport and instead of travelling 1hr30min from where we were staying thought it was better to stay close as our flight was early in the morning. 1. Worst hotel experience I have ever had. We arrived and the first thing they told us was that we need to pay again for the room, they had mistakenly refunded booking.com. I refused to pay and told them to sort out their mess. 2. When we ordered food, the food we received was warmed up food that was not freshly cooked. You could even tell this food was in the fridge. The worst part is this was the most expensive food plates I had had in Zanzibar. Their food is overly priced, a drink cost 3,500 Tanzanian shilling. Anywhere else in Tanzania a drink costs max 2,000 Tanzanian shillings. 3. The pool was dirty and boy oh my the name is so deceiving. Be WARNED there is no usable beach here. There is a small piece of land behind the hotel which connects to the ocean and the water there is filthy. 4. There is no hot water, the furnishings are old. The whole hotel needs refurbishment. There are better hotels in and around the area for the same price.

THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE SHOWERS when I repeatedly kept asking the staff they would always give the same answer...there’s someone coming!!! No one came. I was dependent on swimming and taking a French bath from the sink water. Thank God I was only here nights. If my stay was any longer I wouldn’t have dared. And the staff are ridiculously SLOW.. come on. Run a business or shut down already.
