Zacatecas hotels

Pros: The building is beautiful and the artwork quite lovely. The public spaces are nice and the location, right next to a park and in walking distance to most tourist sites is terrific.

Cons: The rooms have been neglected for many decades. When did I last see a sculpted avocado green wall to wall rug? Maybe in 1970? And without a fitted sheet or mattress pad, the bed became full of wrinkles and quite uncomfortable. But by far the worst thing about this hotel was the service-or lack thereof. Our room was not made up the first day we were there until we returned from a long day of exploring the city in the late afternoon. When we ordered coffee through room service it took three days for the tray to be removed. When we asked for a bucket of ice in our room it took three calls to finally get some. The staff is either on strike or has never been trained.

Cons: Bathroom towels very old and not nice at all for a hotel like this they could be alpt better !!!!! Bathroom not really clean tub with hairs from previous guests and not enogh water on top the tub didnt drain quite well But overall very very nice hotel !!!!!!

Pros: They include breakfast . But no body tell us what kind of breakfast on Sunday they have bufete . We ate the bufete at the they charge

Pros: It was centrally located a few blocks from the Cathedral and from the main street where we took a tour bus. The customer service was excellent, the restaurant with mariachis gave us a good impression and the food was really great. We had breakfast there and even the café de olla was really good. The room with a beautiful view was very quiet , it has a nice living room and we got sleepers and all kind of supplies: toothbrush, shower cap , shaver, sewing kit and so on.

Pros: Your property is great. The location is a great location. The food at the restaurant is so delicious! The staff all around is great. I am a big fan of spicy salsa and at restaurant was super. The city is the greatest colonial city that we had we ever seen and we been all over the world.

Cons: The only reason is that we didn’t’ stay long enough but we plan to go back sometime in the future.

Pros: Beautiful property! The location is great, right in the heart of the city. It's a big property, sort of like a hacienda or small village square, it's pretty cool. Not the standard building with 4 floors. Staff are friendly and helpful and always ready to laugh and bring joy to the day. Sunday brunch was delicious. They treat you well. We'd stay there again.

Cons: The bathroom sink area was dark, hot and humid, pushed back into a closet type area. Beds and pillows were a bit firm as well.

Cons: I didnt'like the new year's dinner celebration that was organized by the hotel,it was too expensive,$3,900 pesos for two people,food was fine,nothing extraodinary,tequila,whisky and vodka,no wine for dinner,also I was hoping to have mariachi instead of a musical group,next time I don't pay for new year's dinner.

Pros: The location was great. The service too. One night there was a lot of noice outside the room and the office took care of it immediately.

Pros: Very comfortable and clean rooms. Friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. Very good location just a few minutes away from downtown. Very quiet and beautiful view, at least from our room.

Pros: Standard room, comfortable bed, but the best thing was fleece or flannel sheets and plenty of blankets as the room was frigid. Staff was friendly although little English spoken. WiFi worked well

Cons: There is no heat in the hotel and mid December temperatures were close to freezing. The room was an icebox. The next morning I discovered an open window hidden behind the shower door that was open all night. The maid opened it again the second day, but I was wise to her tricks and closed it so the room was a little more bearable. Still, I spent all free time in the room under the covers. It wouldn’t cost the hotel much to invest in small portable heaters to achieve happier guests. I’ve been in probably 1000 hotel rooms but have never encountered a smaller and more cramped bathroom. One could only stand in the doorway to access the toilet or the wash basin from an angle. Squeezing past the toilet to get in and out of the shower was difficult and unsafe. Shower water was lukewarm at best.

Pros: Staff is excellent. Location is very good. Rooms are well equipped and very good for the price. Would recommend 100%.

Cons: Guests tend to be noisy (although this is not the hotel’s fault and they try to quiet them down when asked to), furniture is a little old, makes some noise, but is useful enough, wifi was slow at times.

Pros: Great location is just a block from downtown but you do not have the noise or hassle of it. Nearby restaurants offer local food that is pretty good at good prices. I have two rooms one of them with balcony with a really good view of the cathedral and mountains at night.

Cons: That you need to pay with cash, I am used to travel with just small amounts of cash and rather pay with credit card.

Pros: You could not ask for any nicer owners and staff and a hotel that close to the center of town but just far enough not to be bothered by noise from the busy streets! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Cons: The acoustics of an older building will carry the noise of guests and unfortunately guests think they have to carry the noise of the festive nightlife from the streets into their rooms! It would help if the owner posted a quiet time in the hotel of 11pm.

Pros: Location is perfect if you are looking into experiencing downtown. It is less than a block away from the cathedral. Close to restaurants and bakeries.

Cons: Beds and pillows were really uncomfortable, extremely hard. No water pressure, ran out of water while in the shower. No air conditioning.

Cons: The room I was assigned to was really far away from the lobby so there was a lot of walking. It's a huge property.

Pros: Rooms have kitchen and a small dinning table so if you want to save money you can cook.

Cons: Layout is not good. You have to walk a lot, use elevator (old, small and slow) and go by stairs to get to the gym, pool, rooms or lobby. The gym is really small and the equipment is old. The pool is only for kids.

Pros: The property felt very secure and the staff was incredibly helpful. The room was well furnished. The bar had an enjoyable smooth jazz band playing in the evening and the bartender served me some delicious drinks. We had trouble ordering pizza as I had the wrong phone number and was nervous about my poor spanish speaking ability, so I asked the front desk gentleman for help and he did me the huge favor of putting in the order for me.

Cons: We had difficulties connecting to the wifi. It would connect but then lost connectivity and hardly reconnected after that. This problem happened many times during my two weeks in Mexico at most hotels and Airbnb homes at which I stayed.

Pros: Old and dirty rooms, it doesn't look like the pictures at all. I felt conpletely dissappointed.

Cons: The rooms are too old and dirty. Really noisy. For me by far the worst hotel experience. It is completely wrong to show pictures that don't belong to what you're buying. I have some pics of the room I can share if you're interested in looking at them.

Cons: The room did not have central heat; I have to use two extra blankets to keep myself warm. I don't understand if the rooms have a minisplit (AirCon/Heater) I wasn't allowed to use it. According to one attendant, they are used only for cooling during summer. Do customers have a lower rate in autumn or winter?

Pros: Perfect location! The staff (specifically the General Manager) is friendly and went above and beyond to help with our room when we missed our connecting flight. The hotel is old and historic and they did a great job updating it while still keeping the charm.

Pros: free parking, 10 min walk to Centro, easy to find right on the main highway, staff super nice, breakfast is good / average. this is a super value hotel. $35 will not buy you this anywhere else. the rooms easily could be $80 a night for how nice it is, despite being old. the roof top pool area is a winner and the water was perfect temperature. the sun deck has some good views. it's old but they are taking better care than most places like this. the hotel is huge. I just think it's an amazing value at $35 a nite that includes breakfast and parking while being able to walk to Centro and access Starbucks in 10 mins. and feel safe and comfortable to actually get some real rest and sleep in peace.

Cons: look, the building is an older 1940's Mexican style hotel. but they have kept up the maintenance and it is very clean. feels like when you stay at your grandma's house. a little stuffy and old but super clean and very comfortable. the beds are clean and good quality. you can get some rest here while feeling safe plus free parking. lots of pillows and they brought us more when we asked. the sheets are nice and clean and the beds are quality super clean. I slept like a baby here. fairly quite location. there is always street noice at hotels located on a main highway but I'm a light sleeper and I was out like a light.

Pros: Location is very good, 10 minutes walking from the Cathedral! Staff is very heplful and speaks English, So you can find out What's worth seeing in the city! Breakfast is amazing, you can try a lot of mexican food, including Chilaquiles, tacos and local fruits! I'd stay there more days Just because of it!

Cons: Smell in my room's bathroom wasn't nice. The swimming pool hasn't been cleaned for a months, you can See dirt on Its bottom. All penthouse is neglected, Which is a pitty because the view is beautiful and definitely has a pottencial.

Pros: Breakfast was great and staff is extremely kind and eager to help. Bed is very large and comfortable. Cost effective - around 15 min walk to the touristic center (Cathedral)

Cons: The room seems older than it is. It is very clean, but the green carpet, old wall paiting and those (really) old TVs give the impression that it is a hotel from the 50s or 60s. Again, it is comfortable, but not visual appealing.

Cons: 1-The air conditioning does not work. 2-There was a puddle of water under my bed 3-The bathtub is dangerous for the elderly, does not put a mat or towel on the floor to avoid slipping out of the shower, I was slipping, fortunately without consequences 4-The entrance to the parking lot is difficult since there is no access to the main avenue in front of the Hotel, you have to surround about 20 minutes, they suggest taking a street in the opposite direction to get the parking lot which is unacceptable and dangerous 5-The WIFi signal was constantly lost

Cons: Room are stinky if key is not placed in a doc lights don’t turn on so if you want to stay in the room and your partner takes the key you have no light or electricity, toilet have to be flushed three times before it clears up we were also moved three times from rooms
