Pros: Ability to book seat selection upgrade and upgraded meals online
Cons: Nothing, great value for the $
Pros: Comfortable sleat
Cons: They lost my bag and bring it to my hotel the day of departure. Spend 4 days without clothing and all necessary staff. After one month of going back and force emails and proofs of purchases, they only reimbursed me with $100. They told me that was their maximum. Supervisor was very rood in new york
Pros: Great price
Cons: No pillow? Come on Boarding was disorganized
Cons: Edible food and some free entertainment.
Pros: that there was free (included) hot food and water (not the case in all low cost companies). that flights were on time
Cons: space: seats are really tight
Cons: Seat was horribly uncomfortable, no personal entertainment, no free drinks except water and coffee
Cons: Very tight seats
Pros: Not worth it the cheap price once you add one luggage fees and count the inconvenience of delays. Could be okay in low season, but to be avoided in high season.
Cons: Everything needs to be improved.
Cons: I can not find cheaper connection flight from Turkey to Paris I bought another ticket from Ankara to San Francisco. Price was effort able but service was not that great.
Pros: Crew was very nice.
Cons: No Wi-Fi except for local onboard Wi-Fi with which you could watch maybe 10 different tv shows or movies for free. No entertainment system except for what you can use your phone for but also no place to charge your phone. Cramped space. No overhead fan
Cons: Seat didn’t recline, no entertainment, not enough elbow room, delayed flight, too bright to sleep with tv light
Pros: The crew was happy, friendly and helpful.
Cons: We were nickle and dimed on baggage and weight. I suppose all airlines are doing the same, but it becomes expensive rather quickly. The entertainment system on the plane was a throwback to the 1970's, but we had been warned.
Cons: Everything, they lost my luggage, food is awful, crew is abnormally obnoxious, will never fly xl again
Pros: On time. Good relation Price-Quality. Excellent check-in. Sympatic crew
Cons: USB connection doesn't work. Free Wine. Reclinable seat
Cons: Internet was out. No inflight movies. Food was the worst airline food I have ever had, and that’s a low bar. How hard is it to cook pasta correctly?? Very apparently.
Cons: The temperature was unacceptably cold and no blankets were provided since the crew said it was a day flight. Eleven hours of freezing on the plane!
Pros: The flight was on time both ways - the crew were great.
Cons: Like all flights these days - it’s full, cramped, and at one time quite stuffy.
Cons: The entertainment system went down. Boarding was a bit confusing.
Pros: Nothing about XL was likable.
Cons: The seat comfort, offering free entertainment in more than just 1 language and 1 movie.
Cons: XL airways does not board on time! Waiting an hour and a half at midnight at Newark outrageous
Cons: The worst flight i ever took. The food was not eatable and there was no screen on the 12 hours flight.
Cons: Better phone support, I vs. 1 on ref. #
Cons: We paid less for our flight to Paris on a different airlines and had more legroom, unlimited free movies, free wine, blankets and pillows. I will not travel on XL again
Cons: The airline was a last-minute booking so I had no choice. I had been avoiding this airline due to inline reviews but I was pleasantly surprised - service and crew were excellent and so attentive. Everything was clean and I was surprised to get a meal too! I will definitely consider flying XL again!
Pros: On a 10 hour flight they have no tv. They want you to use your phone or tablet to get access to their entertainment but didn’t think that on a 10 hour flight you need to charge your phone . No charging station under the seat. Horrible experience
Cons: Install tv sets. It’s a long flight to talk to yourself
Pros: The crew was adequate.
Cons: 1. The food; charging for every drink except water??; it felt like flying on Ryanair (not a compliment); the planes are too small for transatlantic trip; no screens for entertainment? Overall, one of the worst flights that I've taken from CDG to the US (I've done perhaps 50 - 60 flights already).
Pros: The crew was fine I just thought they would have gone around before breakfast to see if anyone wanted a drink of water. I was glad they gave us a blanket.
Cons: Boarding on time I am not sure why we didn’t
Pros: Crew is very nice
Cons: Almost all ! Too tiny place even for small people. Entraintment is ridiculous and with fees ! You are like animals, one on each other. Very disappointed travel. Never again.
Cons: I had an isle seat, the outside arm rest would not lift up so it was difficult to get up to use restroom. The recline didn't work so I had no sleep. When I retrieved my luggage one wheel was broken. It would be nice if more interaction from pilot to passengers. Speak louder so we can hear.
For those that will be flying XL Airways with an infant, it is possible to benefit from several perks, such as access to a baby bassinet during long haul flights in order to ensure that your child is able to rest. Additionally, items such as car seats, strollers, and baby carriers can be checked for free in addition to other baggage. To take advantage of these benefits, make sure to speak with an airline employee while you are checking in.
To keep you entertained during your flight, the airline offers the XL Cloud, an application that can be connected to for free on all planes via cell phones and laptops and which allows guests to watch movies, plan their itinerary for their destination, and chat with other travelers. For a more immersive experience, there are 3D cinema glasses that play over 20 recent movies, are noise cancelling, and allow you to feel as if you are in your own private movie theater.
When booking a flight with XL Airways, guests can choose from two different classes: Eco Basic and Eco Plus. While Eco Basic does allow you to bring a carry on and includes a hot meal, it does not come with a checked bag or the ability to choose your own seat - two features that guests will find are included with their Eco Plus ticket.
Although XL Airways travels to over 15 different cities that span across 3 continents, this French airline is considered to have just one hub, which can be found in Paris.
