Pros: Excellent value for money. Andre has everything in place and just superb. A great welcome, with a super room and so quiet, ensuring a great nights sleep. The shower was great, the breakfast was fresh and tasty. We could not have asked for any more, and finally Andre is a great host. Thanks so much.
Cons: Nothing to add.
Pros: Everything was very clean and breakfast was perfect
Cons: Everything perfect
Pros: Very kind hosts
Cons: We missed some cheese for breakfast, but there were enough orther things
Pros: Andre made a big effort to make us welcome - even though I only spoke a little French, he liked the fact that I tried! Lovely big clean room and ensuite, with patio and garden view. Breakfast had fresh croissants and jam, fruit, yogurt.
Pros: Meat, cheese and eggs could have been available
Pros: Absolutely loved our stay at this amazing B&B !! The owners were very friendly and very welcoming Beautiful room ever had our own private patio and made more than welcome to share the owners stunning garden too , lots of lovely animals rabbits goats chicken and two beautiful dogs which we fell in love with ! Opened in 2005, Hotel de la Citadelle, near the historic and cultural heart of Metz, is worthy of top recognition for high-end hotels. A large military building, built in 1559 to preserve Metz square, conquered by King Henry II. This simple and pure building has 68 rooms: 2 suites, 4 meeting rooms, 1 lounge bar, 1 gourmet Michelin starred restaurant "le Magasin aux vivres", directed by Christophe Fosse.
Pros: Ideally situated, spacious room, huge and very comfortable bed, nice in-house restaurants.
Cons: Maybe the staff could be that bit more attentive, they sometimes made us feel a bit as a disturbance or distraction. I‘ve seen more contemporary bathrooms.
Pros: The building is 500 yrs old and was built as part of a military fort. The rehab is very new and has five star furnishings, finishes, accommodations and services. The staff was ultra friendly and could not have been more helpful. Short stroll to town (5 min) and Metz is very cool.
Cons: Nothing to complain about. And I'm normally a grumpy old man about things
Pros: Excellent hotel in the perfect location. Parking was available on the property at additional cost. Highly recommend this hotel.
Pros: Reception and bar staff were especially helpful, kind and fun.
Cons: The bathroom tub design was unusual and, potentially, unsafe — at least for seniors. The design resulted in shower spray going all over the bathroom. Nothing to hold on to while getting into the deep tub. Also - the stair elevator at the front door was inoperable the whole time we were there. Staff helped with suitcases but stairs were still problematic for friends with a disability.
Pros: The room was spacious. Good location. Lovely building.
Cons: Could do with a little updating and the room could have been cleaner. There was plenty of parking and it was a shame that we had to pay extra for this.
Pros: Location, large rooms, very good wifi, very good breakfast, nice design, friendly and forthcoming staff
Cons: During night relatively loud due to staff working in the back yard, special offer for parking in near by garage would be appreciated
Pros: Perfect location with easy access to city center!
Pros: The staff were all extremely helpful and polite. Breakfast every morning was great. We had dinner in the dinning room on our first night, it was very good, We didn't want much to eat on the consecutive nights, so we just snacked on crackers in the room. We enjoyed the separate area by the bathroom for privacy in changing clothes. We enjoyed the view from our window.
Cons: The bathtub was not accessible to my elderly father. He had to bathe at the sink each day.

Pros: Good quality bed linen & generous continental breakfast
Pros: The location at the historical center
Cons: Cleanliness of the room, the bed covers were stained and not clean. The bath needed improvement as well the closet was clearly an issue. Also they advertise parking. But do not have it. I had to pay my own parking about 700 mtrs from the hotel.
Pros: Great location
Cons: NO kettle / coffee machine in room - HUGELY noisy with very large groups of students shouting and screaming under our bedroom window until 2:30 am !! :/
Pros: The lady who runs this Hotel is wonderful and so helpful, she has a vast amount of local knowledge and was excellent at answering questions and giving recommendations. The central location is very convenient, and it is much better to walk around the city than to drive.
Cons: As the room we stayed in was overlooking the street it was quite loud in the evening, the room was hot but we were provided with a fan and it was 33C outside so that probably isn't an issue all year round.
Pros: Perfect location, direct in the center and very friendly stuff!
Pros: Very friendly staff. Good breakfast!
Pros: Excellent French restaurant next door
Cons: Parking a little distance away but allowed walk through pleasant part of Metz
Pros: The room was huge. There is a door after you enter the room and you can lock the bedroom.
Cons: There is no lift. I have to climb 5 levels. Luckily I did not have a luggage with me.
Pros: Great location. The hotel was right in the old city. Room charming with some real old retro style. Close to shops and restaurants.
Cons: Hard to get the car in as we where driving. All of inner city closed off with bollards. Bath room tiny. Narrow stairs so hard to get luggage up. No lift.

Pros: Good location not far from the center, parking nearby at reduced price. Delicious breakfast.
Cons: The sofa-bed for the children was squeaky and not very comfortable.

Pros: Nice big room, good breakfadt, good matress, nice reception staff, location close to city center and to Centre Pompidou.
Cons: Building was old and decorations all dated, not modern like other Ibis Styles.

Pros: - the location: just 10mins by walk to reach the city center - although the hotel is situated next to bigger streets but you can’t hear anything from the noise of the street - comfortable bed

Cons: It will be great if the cattle is available in the room.
Pros: Good views from the room, and good quality/ cleanliness for the price.
Cons: Reception not very well staffed - had to wait for about 15 minutes to checked out as no staff member was present. Also would have been nice to have a kettle in the room.
Pros: Cleaned room and staff very friendly! Location : 1,2 km to centre, 700m from train station.
Cons: What i didn’t like , we went outside and we leave the heating room on because outside it was cold and wenn we came back in the room the heating was off and it was very cold .....
Pros: Good breakfast for the price. Nice bed & there were pillow options too (super!)
Cons: Since the shower doors didn’t function and a curtain had to be used, the doors should be removed! The entry was narrow & a huge step up to climb in the shower made it dangerous.
Pros: Great location near the train station. A cosy hotel with a warm atmosphere. Very good breakfast and great staff at reception. Definitely will stay again and recommend the place as a great value for money.
Pros: good location - close to the train station and the city center. Great for a short stay. - the room was small, but cozy and clean - nice staff and the reception is 24/7, which is convenient
Cons: the bathroom needs a renovation, especially the shower. It was clean, but quite small and the shower door was broken.
Pros: Very close to the city center and train station. Very nice stuff
Cons: The dust on the head of the bed was full of dust, the towels had spots that you could see in the natural light and the quantity of shower gel/shampoo was enough for less than half of the body. The second day after check-out at the same price we took a room in Paris, next to the Opera and super fancy.... Sorry to tell this, but I won't choose it again...

Pros: Location, staff was very friendly, good breakfast
Pros: The location is very good, right in the old town. The parking house is not far.
Cons: The toilet and the bathroom were together in a very small room and there was no door!!! I was not feeling comfortable at all. The blanket was too thick and it was too warm in the night. The room needs some renovation and a new carpet. Breakfast had a very small selection. No bacon or sausages also.
Pros: The room was nice and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The staff were very plesant
Cons: The parking situation
Pros: The location is great right in the middle of town in the pedestrian area: Good value for the the price of breakfast.
Pros: Good, central location but not much else. Dated 1980’s interiors with suspended office like ceilings. Worn out carpets in hallways, windowless breakfast room. The late evening reception desk person was nice.
Cons: Our ‘comfort’ room was dark, with small window overlooking tiny yard. There was a kettle and PAPER cups, and powder milk. It all felt mean and measerable, and yet almost €100 per night. (€97.50 precisely).
Pros: Location& rooms clean and staff v nice
Pros: Convenient, centrally located.
Cons: No air conditioning, typical for European hotels. Parking is terrible- you have to park in a lot that is 5 minutes away from the hotel and hail your suitcases there.

Cons: The rooms are very old and small for the four star rating.
Pros: The breakfast and location were amazing!
Cons: Needs to be updated. Scraggly carpets and paint.
Pros: Easy location and smooth check in at midnight.
Cons: Air con making such a noise so it was impossible to keep it on. Floor attendant walking into the room at 08h00 ignoring the “no”. Asking if any extra service been asked for.
Pros: The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The location was nice with a good size parking garage connected to the hotel along with a shopping center.
Cons: The hotel could use some renovations considering there’s marks all over the carpet, paint peeling and the glass on the windows and shower are stained. There was also a really gross stain on one of the towels. I also recommend putting in some local attractions/sights and recommended restaurants in each room.
Pros: Location was great including direct access to parking
Cons: This hotel needs to be refurbished especially carpet and out-dated deco.
The Hotel ibis Metz Centre Gare is located in the city center, opposite Metz train station, and offers 72 renovated and air-conditioned rooms, a 24-hour bar, varied breakfast buffet and regular shuttles to the airport and Lorraine TGV station. The hotel i s situated in the heart of the Christmas markets and is a 2-minute walk from Saint-Étienne Cathedral, the Centre Pompidou Metz, the Arsenal concert hall, the Temple Neuf, the Les Arènes sports complex and will soon be opposite the conference center.
Cons: Everything. The hotel was very run down. The window in our room overlooked the garbage cans and trash. The halls smelled musty and like old rotting carpets. The elevator was inadequate and could only fit one person and bag at a time and we had to wait for a 20 min. to use this service.
Pros: Near lots of restaurants, the train station was across the street. Had a window facing the train station and the water tower. Thank you it was lovely to look out.
Cons: Hot water service for tea or coffee in room would be a lovely addition.
Pros: Location is perfect and price is also very reasonable.
Cons: Parking facility is something which is missing.
Located in Woippy, Campanile Metz Nord is within a 15-minute drive of Metz Cathedral and Centre Pompidou-Metz. Featured amenities include a business center, express check-in, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Comfortable bed, quite at night
Cons: It's maximum 2 stars- Maximum. Little bit better, then formula 1, but basically the same, just much more expensive. Room is very small. Breakfast is very simple- bread, butter, nutella, some yogurt and omlette (9 30 there was no anymore omlette, breakfast till 10 00).
Pros: Welcomed late at night by a pleasant and helpful receptionist. Nice, very clean and comfortable room and very adequate breakfast.
Pros: I loved the staff. The hotel was nice and spacious, but the people inside made the difference. Kind, friendly, ready to give you the right information, smiling. We felt welcome from the first day.
Cons: It was all as described.
Pros: Brand new hotel, spacious rooms, good breakfast. Good meal at restaurant opposite. Very close to motorway exit.
Cons: Quite a long way from town centre. Lots of traffic noise if you have the window open, but triple glazed quiet when closed.
Pros: I used it as a stop over, it is situated very close to the motorway. Building pretty new, and i could barely hear noise from the corridor/other rooms. staff was friendly. closed parking lot
Pros: good location
Pros: Not a lot!!
Cons: The list is extensive. I had one of the double family rooms and so many things were wrong... No mirror in the main bedroom so you had to use the one in the second bedroom which was blocked by the bed so unusable. The shower is fixed and points straight down at the tap which you end up keep knocking when you showering, absolute nightmare! Toilet half hanging off because of poor fitment, this is a new hotel as well! Master bedroom TV unwatchable in its location, no adjustable bracket which it needs. Units next to beds a head injury hazard Tap to close to the mirror, keep catching hand on mirror. Same issue with Aircon at most French hotels in the winter, set to hear only, so if you want cooling you have have to open the window and it's and extremely busy and noisy road. Breakfast room is very cramped and choice extremely limited. I didn't like the new door locks, they are code entry, someone could easily watch you tap in the code and then enter after you leave Toilet roll holder to close to toilet, digs in your side. Towel holder way, way to close to toilet. I've never seen a new hotel so poorly thought through, I don't think it was built for Campanile and they must have purchased an almost finished hotel No electric car Charing or offer to plug in anywhere even though I suggested a perfect location which would have worked.
Pros: This is a clean, modern hotel with free gated parking. The rooms are small but adequate. The breakfast was very good too. I think this is a good value for the money.
Cons: The hotel isn't close to anything, so walking to any activities is out of the question. If you drive into Metz you will need to find a parking place which is almost impossible. I think public transportation is available.
Pros: Good cheerful staff, reception particularly good. When you get across the road, resturaunt is exceĺlent.
Cons: No evening meals on site ,have to cross unlit main road to eat.
Pros: Clean, spacious, comfortable, quiet room with a decent walk in shower. Smiling and efficient reception staff, who gave us a 10% voucher for La Boucherie restaurant literally across the road which was an American style steak house. An added bonus for us was the hotel and car park were in a gated complex. Breakfast - a very good choice of fresh fruit, pastries, cakes, cereals, rolls, toast as well as bacon and scrambled egg. Delicious! There is not much is this area for ‘sightseeing! but great for a stopover, very happy! Thank you!
Cons: The only thing were two single use plastic bottles of shower gel. Unnecessary as there was already a guest bar of soap and in the shower affixed to the wall a shower/shampoo gel.

Pros: Perfect stop for the way down (or up). Breakfast was okay, al the other stuff was well organised.
Cons: Breakfast, was okay but the bread was not great

Cons: Reading lamps would be nice.
Pros: Easy to find. Great value for just a nights rest before getting back on the road. Not 5 star but 3 star most definitely. Quick check in after hours was available. Parking on premises.
Pros: Quiet, bed very comfortable, nice shower. Breakfast coffee machine good. I arrived late (midnight), but the automatic key dispenser works ok.
Cons: No lift for luggage to second floor. Breakfast buffet not laid out at 7, as per the sign, though they did apologise for this and I got it complementary when they came. And the coffee machine was switched on anyway.
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Smelly room, basic furniture, traffic noise from close by,basic facilities.

Pros: Nothing !
Cons: Food was Poor quality and expensive
Cons: We almost didn't book there because the main photo made it look like it's a car repair shop. To our surprise, the place was so good that we will definitely book here again next time that we're in the area.
Pros: Pet friendly.
Cons: No restaurant had to get a burger delivered to hotel. Bar was shut but could take a beer to the room.
Pros: Clean with basic commodities which are enough for one night. Good value.
Cons: The neighborhood isn't great if you're looking for food options in the evening.
Pros: The room was big and the bathroom was clean! For it's price it was very nice. From the room we had direct little yard and the dog was welcome. Parking was big enough.
Cons: We got dirty baby bed without sheets. I would never let my baby sleep in such a dirty bed. Only french TV.
Pros: Price and location.
Cons: Older hotel but clean. Rooms are small beds are just passable
