Room was spotlessly clean had everything you would need for a overnight stay could not fault and added bonus the view was amazing.
Cleanliness comfortable bed
Atmosphere wasn’t as good as was expected. The whole place could do with a lot of TLC and decent maintenance being done to make it a 1 star hotel.
Lovely place and staff. Well located. We had a free upgrade and our stay was amazing.
Good value for money in a good location
The beds were comfortable in the room was beautiful and warm (I feel the cold and have found other hotel rooms too cold even with extra blankets. Our room was spacious clean and well appointed. I cannot comment on the breakfast as the chef was on holiday, however the other staff I met were all helpful and friendly and the landlord's dog was absolutely beautiful! The hotel was quiet and the only noise disturbance all night was my daughter snoring (sorry Lottie!)
The only thing I would have liked was an extra socket by the other bed so that I could charge my phone from the bedside cabinet. From an environmentally friendly point of view it would be good to have reusable bottles rather than the mini ones provided (but I realise that not all travellers would appreciate this)
The Grey Walls offers a pleasant stay in Windermere for those traveling for business or leisure. There's plenty to do nearby, with Orrest Head, and The World of Beatrix Potter all just a both distance away. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.
