Pros: Beautiful resort! You don’t like to leave it because it is just perfect to spend some days in the sun. Food was delicious and staff super friendly and supportive.

Cons: We booked the honeymoon suite but it was sadly located directly over the kitchen in which the staff started preparing the breakfast around 6 AM. So we sadly woke up multiple times from loud kitchen noises. They offered ear plugs but if you don’t like to use them like my husband who has tinnitus you should be aware of this fact. We can’t say anything about the noise in other rooms. The rest was just perfect and we would definitely recommend this resort.

Pros: The rooms are just extremely comfortable and nice, the staff is ever present and extremely helpful, the attention to details and the sheer beauty of the place. Hard to find a resort in Curacao possibly getting close to beat it.

Pros: The grounds are beautiful and the staff does a wonderful job with upkeep. Myrte, Michelle, and the chef were all wonderful. They helped make our stay nice.

Cons: We had a bad interaction with staff at lunch being rude about how I “must not be used to such high quality meat” when I said that the burger was not my preference. Additionally, one darling thing about the resort is that you get fruit each day in your room - two days of our five day stay we were not given fruit. Additionally, breakfast is free, which is awesome, but they forgot one item that we requested 3/5 days. Not a huge deal, but I expected more when we were paying $800+ per night for our honeymoon. We loved our stay, but aren’t sure it was worth the cost. They also didn’t do anything special for our honeymoon. We stayed at four hotels over the course of our honeymoon in Paris, Amsterdam, and Curacao and this was the only hotel that did not make a special gesture. The Lions Dive Resort in Curacao upgraded our room and gave us some Cava! It’s not as romantic, but it was a great resort with great staff.

Pros: Wide Comfortable and luxurious villas surrounding by mother nature. The gorgeous natural pool / lagoon is a differential. Staff could not be more effective and friendly. Food is excellent. Excellent choices on wine. I would certainly come back.

Pros: Baoase is a pearl with its scenic beach, luxury facilities, and a staff that always walks an extra mile for you. There is no doubt that we will go back to Baoase when we get the chance, we loved it.

Pros: The Balinese ambiance was very relaxing. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. Private beach was staffed with butlers. The water was clear and had no rocks. The turn down survive was our favorite. The food at the restaurant was good as well. Best resort I've ever been to!

Pros: Great location by the sea so it was very relaxing being next to the water. We had the best (Most expensive) room with the best view. Good food. Also plenty vegetarian options at the restaurant. Shower and bathroom was big and clean. Liked the kettle and tea/coffee provided in the room.

Cons: The room had lots of potential for being amazing but lacked the privacy we needed. Room was right above the restaurant and we had noise from there after 10pm. We also had cigarette smoke in our room from restaurant guests. The worst part was that another guest peeked into our room from the side of the terrace while we were getting dressed! This part of the terrace should have been part of the room’s terrace rather than being open for use by everyone. Chairs on the terrace were sticky, stained and felt dirty. The bed was horrible! Mattress was very soft, sagging in the middle and we kept rolling into each other. It also seems to be a hotel geared towards smokers, as there were ashtrays everywhere. A little overpriced considering the bed quality and lack of privacy. the room looked much bigger on the pictures.

Pros: It's located in a historic place within Willemstad and close to all the main sightseeing places in the city. People at the reception are very kind and willing to help. We were on honeymoon and they prepared the room accordingly and gave us a Brut bottle complimentary. Thank you very much!

Pros: I came to celebrate my birthday for along weekend with 2 friends. Property is beautiful and rooms are nice (except for the bathroom issue noted). There were some mishaps relevant to plans my friend made to surprise me for my birthday. I will say the management worked very hard to address the issues that my friend brought to their attention, the staff was SUPER friendly and kind. I really liked them alot. The property is BEAUTIFUL. Truly and the beach is really close. If you like to party the location is perfect and its centrally located to lots of activities and action. The beach is BEAUTIFUL I mean truly beautiful. The massage I had on the beach was FANTASTIC. Definitely do that while you are there.

Cons: The breakfast buffet shut down at 10 am so we felt very rushed to get breakfast. The staff at breakfast was wonderful but they should probably extend breakfast to 10:30 am or 11 am especially on the weekend.There was a smell, pretty horrible, emanating from our bathroom throughout our stay. The hotel staff tried to address it and they aired the room out and it helped some but it smelled like spoiled cabbage. We had to keep the bathroom door open for the entire stay and open the doors when we were in the room to get some relief from it. If we closed the door then the bathroom smelled pretty bad. So going into the bathroom was not a pleasant experience. There were some mishaps with the arrangements my friend made to celebrate my birthday but the hotel staff worked hard to make it right and I appreciated that. I also experienced a lot of miscommunication around my check out. The day staff should communicate better with the evening and overnight staff. Didn't love the iguana that took up residence at the pool and once he jumped in I didn't want to use the pool because they carry alot of bacteria. Overall I had a pretty mixed experience at this property.

Pros: The hotel’s lush landscape provides for a lot of privacy. The beach is amazing; also loved the beach restaurant!

Pros: It is exactly as on the pictures, the rooms and facilities are extremely clean and the personnel very friendly. The location is perfect: right at the beach with the choice of 2 different beach facilities, and close to the center of Willemstad with many restaurants. The bar and food service is just exceptional. In short: your carribean dream come true! It’s a 4 star and a half hotel in my appreciation.

Cons: As described in many reviews there is music on the beach, even at night, but if you like to attend the beach parties, this is fine. Best is to ask for a room away from the beachfront if you don’t like that. For activities, best is to also use the internet to organize yourself since the staff is not always efficient. Just a minor inconvenience.

Pros: We stayed here on the second part of our honeymoon for 8 nights. The photos we had seen beforehand didn’t do it justice, it’s so beautiful. The room was spacious and the cleaning service was excellent. We had a huge veranda too for watching the sunset. We didn’t realize before we came that it’s located beside Mambo Beach so we were spoilt for choice with restaurants and bars and it meant we didn’t need to take taxis for dinner. Reception staff were helpful and pleasant. I can’t say enough about this place!

Cons: There is no gym at the property which we knew in advance but I would still prefer if there was one. The air con was a little difficult to use meaning it was sometimes very hot especially in the bathroom as the unit is located in the main bedroom. There is significant noise from the beach party nights but this didn’t bother us as we requested a room away from that side and also aren’t light sleepers.

Pros: There was parking on the property and the staff was friendly.

Cons: The linen for the beds was not cleaned and I had to ask the staff when will it be change so that was disappointing and when they did change it the new linen was also not clean. I was told when I booked the apartment that the linen would be changed daily but that was not the case. The person responsible for cleaning my room was not great at all. For a room so small this shouldn’t be a problem to clean it at a high standard. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and far too hard, we had to ask for an extra duvet to put it on top of the bed to sleep on, this definitely needs addressing. There was even a cockroach in my room on top of everything.

Pros: Great stay, very nice location, huge room, super clean, very comfortable bed, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff outstanding. From check in to check out, the overall experience was perfect! It's for me the place to stay, when I visit Curacao.

Pros: We loved the comfort of the rooms and the very accommodating owners. The little details in the design of this small hotel are very thoughtful and charming. Definitely recommend. The ice cream shop downstairs was a surprise and a delightful and delicious treat for us.

Cons: Book a Royal apartment to get a guaranteed Oceanview on floor 3. We booked a deluxe room with sea view but our room was on floor 1. The view was terrible. Luckily we were moved to floor 2 after two nights. There is no reception staff after 6pm. This is too early. The desk should be staffed until 10pm. There should be a lighted path to the property from the beach at night. It's too dark.

Pros: We really enjoyed having a kitchen, a large patio, and being able to walk to restaurants and shops. A dive shop and the sea aquarium are also walking distance. The staff are very nice and helpful.

Cons: US visitors - bring your electrical adapters. The Beach House uses the European outlets. Also, you have to pay a small daily beach access fee. And if you actually want to hang out on the beach you also have to rent a beach chair -- there is no place to just put down a towel on Mambo beach. That said, the pool area is very nice, free, and only a few yards from the water. You just can't see the ocean from there.

Pros: The property was beautiful, clean and spacious. Kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary gadgets and space to prepare meals. Fresh towels were exchanged every other day and beach towels were always available downstairs. Staff was very friendly and helpful, always smile on their face. Location is fantastic in the core of a few restaurants, bars and shops. Always somewhere to go and something to do. We felt very safe and comfortable on the hotel and beach premisses. Beach was beautiful with perfect snorkling for kids or beginners. Some rentals were available on the beach as well as an aquapark which was fantastic for children. Patio and views from the balcony were fabulous. A great plus was the daily free shuttle to the super market. But renting a car is a must to discover all the beauty of the island. So many beaches to see and sites to visit. Willemstad is gorgeous as well and the floating market is a great place to visit. The panoramic views are fabulous day and night time.

Pros: Nice grounds, amazing beach where you could stay in the shallow area or swim further for a little snorkeling. It was great for small kids. The hotel size is perfect, big enough that has different areas but not so huge that you don't want to walk from one side to the other.

Cons: With the exception of Nemo (their fine dining option) the food in the hotel was pretty bad, especially for the price. The quality of the breakfast buffet is comparable to an all-inclusive, however you get charged $18/person with no discount for kids, and it's the only bfast option in the hotel, a huge rip-off. I recommend not signing up for this in advance, there is a better buffet (and kids pay half) in Cabana, on the other side of mambo beach.

Cons: Front desk staff is bad when we are waiting they are not greeted and not care about guests and access cards given are not working and I have to wait more than hour to get in my suite at night 11 pm. Security is not politeness and even when we should access card he is saying I am not allowed to go in bad security. We are group of 4 and 4 access cards we should he saying your room allows 2 after argument he checked front desk and then allowed to get into my suite. We were am brassed I am never recommending to my family and friends

Pros: The overall atmosphere and people.

Pros: Staff at the resort were very friendly, and extremely helpful whenever we needed anything during our stay at the property. The beach on the resort was stunning and very well maintained. Add in the fact that this resort is a stones throw away from Mamba Beach where there are plenty of shops and excellent food, I would say that this property is very good for those who would like to travel around the island instead of just staying on the resort. There are also many attractions close by to this resort such as the Aquarium, ATVs, and Scuba Diving. The most important thing that I enjoyed about this property was the fact that I genuinely felt safe. Security is present at all times, and there is an abundance of them all through out the resort.

Cons: One of the biggest issues I had with this resort was the quality of the food there. The prices were slightly higher than I anticipated they would be, and the quality of food did not warrant the price tag in my opinion. I would strongly recommend that those who stay in this resort fluently speak more than just English. Most of the guests we encountered there were speaking various languages such as German, Dutch, and Spanish. So if you would like to socialize with other guests at the property I would highly suggest that you can speak at least one of the above mentioned languages. Another issue that I had with this property was how early everything on the resort closed down. The latest I saw a bar stay open on the property was 12 am. The nightlife here is not what I expected from a Caribbean Island. The final issue I had was the quality of the air conditioners in the rooms, lack of air tight doors, and the screen window in the bathroom. All of these factors led the room to be uncomfortably hot during the day, which could present a problem for some people who want to cool down to recharge the batteries after soaking in the sun for a few hours. On a side note, it is common for the entire island to lose power. During my stay we lost power from about 3pm until around 10pm.

Pros: The facility was close to the sea aquarium and Mambo beach. We did an ATV tour with Eric's, which is walking distance to this facility.

Cons: Unfortunately the pool was closed for construction. I wish I knew this prior to booking. Also, there's no ice machine. Our first night, the AC wasn't working and our bathroom light was out.

Pros: Well, do not expect too much. Photoes which hotel provides look much better then reality! The reality is that is it far not a new apartment block. With jacuzzi-size swimming pool - rediculously small! NOT on the beach! Till the beach - 5 min walk, not the first line. Mostly Dutch people stay there.

Cons: This is NOT a luxury resort! It has nothing to do with “luxury” or “design”. You will just get an apartment not far from the beach. Smell was disgusting in the room! Mix of MOLD smell with chlorine. Conditioner did not help - too humid. Wood of the kitchen furniture - rotten - too humid. Aquarium is not impressive at all and it is very old. Beach is great!(you will have sun beds free of charge but only particular ones). 7 minutes walk.

Cons: Due to Avianca airline we missed our connecting flights to Curacao and to Suriname the day after. Which forced us to go to Aruba instead. All this made we missed our hotel facility in Curacao and we were not able to cancel within the required period. However Avila hotel charged us the full payment of the hotel room not even used and was not even willing to give us a waiver, despite my writing and explanation. So that I am very disappointed in Avila hotel.

Pros: Everything was really great, absolutely no complaints. We enjoyed the food and the staff members were very happy and polite. Would come back anytime.

Cons: I think on some occasions they might have needed some more staff in the Schooner bar by the beach - at busy times, it could take a long time to get a drink even though the staff worked as fast as they could, but there were simply not enough of them.

Pros: This was the greatest possible vacation. We went for our anniversary/ 2nd honeymoon amd were simply delighted with the hotel and the island nation of Curaçao. A great room literally right on the Caribbean Ocean. Great staff and great food. So much fun - just rent a car at the hotel and explore all day.

Cons: no microwave in kitchen (but understand why). unnecessarily difficult to get a 1 hour complimentary extension to checkout time...but we did get it in the end.

It’s great having a kitchen in the room with a supermarket close by. It was nice to sit on the wraparound deck and drink coffee with all the birds coming to visit. Pros: The resort was nice and met the expectations. However, you could see that some renovations and updating should be done soon. The pools were nice and all the staff - except from the lady at the reception desk - were very friendly. The villa is spacious and comfortable. I won’t say this resort is particularly good value for money. It’s not cheap and the feeling of luxury has probably be gone for some years.

Cons: Hospitality is all about welcoming guests and giving them the feeling of being welcome. At arrival we had a small dispute about the upgrade to a sea view villa. This was solved but in a very unwelcoming and displeasing way. Another thing is the way people are already assuming they can up sell services. At checkout day we were called at eight for our supposed taxi reservation. As this hotel was the first of a few we didn’t need a taxi. Surprisingly, the invoice for the taxi was made at checkout. This was swiftly corrected but it shows that a lot of effort is put in the commercial side of things. Maybe they can put the focus more on hospitality instead.

Pros: Good location to walk to queen Emma bridge and city center; Very clean and big room; Air condition had a silent mode, which we used during the night (without it would be too hot in the room, and you can’t open a window, because one is just next to a main road and the other on is heading to the hallway.

Cons: We thought that the swimming pool was included, but you have to pay 10 dollar per person per day to use the pool of the neighbor hotel The breakfast was ok (I think it is always complimentary), but the selection is limited and there are only 3-4 tables inside, and only 2 tables outside, which are in the shadow

Our rooms had an outside- and inside shower which is amazing for the hot weather. The pool is perfect for cooling down and when we were there the hotel was very peaceful and not busy at all.

Cons: Apparently there’s a menu to order eggs and pancakes at breakfast, but we had to find this out ourselves and specifically ask for it. Rooms should be a cleaner as well.

Cons: We stayed there in 2011 for the jazz festival and now again for same, however, the room ( 1080) and the property is tired and needs upgrading. Our stay eight years ago, the facilities were fabulous and we spent time at the lower pool, which now was dirty during our visit. no island literature in the lobby and back then there was plenty. One day no bath mat. The two glasses were never cleaned after our use with red wine.The bench to go in and out of the tub is very awkward for ladies and even for myself, who is 6'2". On my last stay we stayed in a room (with a row) below the dining room and it was lovely and clean. My last visit I rated a 9.5 and now a 5. We selected it because of its attractive design and ideal location. We care about the facility and would like to stay there again, so please upgrade.

We were offered a help to find places in Willemstaad and were accommodated with a luggage room towards the end of lour stay. Hotel is rather secure, divided into sections, to which guests might or might have not access through guest card reading system, located throughout the property (hotel uses Assa Abloy electronic locks and readers, which as I googled, are the best out there).

Cons: My whole family struggled with the tap in the bathtub, so I guess it should be replaced. Locks are secure, but old fashioned (magstrip, where one has to put a card into a slot, which can be frustrating in the middle of the night, after few scoops of a lager). Hotel should have locks with contactless (RFID) card readers by now. I would welcome those two things to be looked into.

Cons: There was no HOT WATER in my bathroom, so for two days, my wife and I found it difficult to take a bath because there was no hot water. There was NO SECURITY LOCK on the room. Anybody with a passkey can enter. I found this very very dangerous and I was not able to sleep right away. I have to put a chair in front of the door.

Pros: The staff is amazing! As the hotel is located in an old ice cream factory, they welcome you with ice cream! I found that was a really nice touch. I was also there on Valentine's day, so they put a heart-shaped chocolate on my bed. So cute! Everything was super clean and I was pleasantly surprised that the AC and the hot water were working really well, because apparently it doesn't seem to be the case in all the hotels on the island, according to the reviews I read on booking.com. The only bad experience I had was with the car rental company onsite, but when I complained about it to the front desk, they apologized and even asked me to write a formal complain with all the details of what happened so they can address the situation. In conclusion, I had a really great stay and would definitely recommend the Ritz Village hotel to everyone! :)

Cons: I have to admit the location is not the best if you don't like walking. If you want to go anywhere in the Old City of Punda, (for example to go to a restaurant) then you'll have to walk around 15-20 minutes. I personally don't mind it, but I know that for some people that could be an important point to consider, especially when it's crazy hot outside. Also, there isn't a lot of things directly next to the hotel and the area is a bit sketchy at night, but it still felt really safe.

Pros: Close to city center. Quiet. Cottage has plenty of space. Bathroom OK, but stupid to place lighting not close to mirror. Very frindly and helpful employees. My little secret: Try the Cafe/Restaurant/Lounge "Mundo Bizarro". Do it early in your stay (You want to go again...). It is less than 10 min. walk.

Cons: Breakfast not really impressive, just OK. Try some of the options not too far away. Pizza was not good. (Plenty of options for food in short distance) A bit far from beaches. Not a nice neighborhood, but did not feel unsafe. Cannot adjust water temperature, warm, especially in the afternoon/evening. Water was drinkable and tasted OK (After some time in the refrigirator).

Cons: The pool area is very tired. It is a tiled pool and the tiles are cracking and have mold in the grout. It was still usable and totally fine, but it needs to be redone. There is a pool at the Sun Club (extra charge) end that looks like it has been updated, but no one uses it because it is far away. The swim up pool bar was hardly ever open while we were there. The wait time at that bar was always long, whether you were the only person ordering or not. Food was hit or miss. Also, only one small cafe is open 24 hours. All other restaurants close after service. The cafe only serves hot drinks and iced coffees and some pastries.

Pros: Bartenders were great and friendly. Staff were friendly and always said hello when we passed them. The beds are comfy, beach is beautiful, lots of tropical fish around.

Cons: The food was not great and the breakfast buffet was the only option for food in the morning. And it was the same food every day at the breakfast place. The buffet food in general was not good, whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The service at the bars were great but in the restaurants was horrible. Would take us 2 hours for just an appetizer and meal. The servers would just sit around and talk to each other. The restaurants never change their menus and I think they should have a "chef special" every night that changed just for something different for those of us who had a long stay, and ended up eating the same food every day. The liquor was watered down and not name brands. We drank and drank and drank and never felt a thing. I'm thinking they add water to the liquor bottles which is horrible. Our room was nice and the bed was comfy, the AC didn't work so great so our room was pretty warm the whole time. The beach was beautiful but it's very rocky near the shore so I recommend wearing water shoes. Oh and the swim up bar pool is pretty gross. We hung out there a couple times and our bathing suits would ring out yellow when we washed them. They need to do a better job at cleaning and filtering that pool water. As for snorkeling, they only allow you to rent gear for 1 hour per day because it's a separate company from the resort which is unfortunate, I should have brought my own gear.

Pros: This resort has everything you need, The food is freshly prepared and plentiful. The pools are beautiful and is located on a fantastic beach now with calm water due to a break wall and plenty of beach chairs. Fantastic! Perfect for families.

We missed our first day because the weather caused us to miss out connecting flight; however the manager would not help us to change our days unless we sat through their sales pitch. We were suppose to have a room next to our under 18 children but that didn’t happen as requested when we booked, and again nothing would be done unless we sat through the sales pitch. The food was less than mediocre, there was always a line to get into all meals, and it was hit or miss if a waiter would bring your drinks or not. Some of the staff was very nice, others not so much. There was no hairdryer in my room and we didn’t have a hand towel or wash cloth for two of our days. Most days we could get coffee at the Sunclub side and we often had to wait for beach towels

Pros: I was a little anxious about what to expect after reading so many recent negative reviews. However, our experience was wonderful. Our room was clean, with a great view of the beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The beach was clean and quiet and the water was clear. There were lots of activities to do throughout the day as well. The food and drinks were good as well. This was our first all-inclusive, so we don’t have much to compare it to, food-wise. However, we found a good variety, and I don’t eat meat (but do eat fish and there is plenty of that!) the restaurants get crowded, but a little planning prevented long waits. Additionally, if you do sun club, you can get room service, which was great for breakfast. I saw a review that said the drinks were weak- we did not find this to be true at all. Occasionally we tried some of the fruity mixed and frozen drinks and even those were strong. Overall, we had a great experience and highly recommend!

Cons: Though the restaurant menus indicated they had specials of the day, they never did. A more robust room service menu for lunch and dinner would have been nice.

Don't waste your money at the spa, its overpriced and all they do is rub St. Ive's lotion. I kid you not, both my mom and aunt got different services done and they both said the same thing. My mom even paid extra to add the "hot stone" option to her massage...it was a complete waste and she felt even worse when she left than she did when she first went in. They place you in a dark room, on a squeaky bed...no dimmed lights, no scented oils or candles..nada. Save your money and skip the spa!

Although we thought the entire hotel was on the beach, we quickly realized it was across the road but all in all it was easy to access. We went bc it was LGBTQ friendly so we felt safe and welcome. It was quiet when my friends and I went, but I could see it turning into a party atmosphere during high seasons.

Cons: Pool area was rather dirty, debatably from the previous nights festivities. We were at the pool for a few hours, left to go into town for a few and the pool nor beer bottles etc had been cleaned. At night you can see mice tightrope on power lines above the pool. The rooms could use some updating but they were a good value for the price.

Pros: Good location if you want to be a bit away from the busyness but still well connected (in addition to the shuttle there are regular busses to Willemstad). Some nice restaurants in walkable distance if you feel like staying close by. Spa and pool are quiet, especially later in the day (and open till 23:00) so it was almost a private experience.

Cons: Some areas of the hotel (like the pool) were a bit run down but they are currently doing renovations so should be improved soon. The staff was polite and friendly but would sometimes be forgetful of our requests.

Cons: At First I booked a room with pool view (that we can barely see the pool) for four nights, they wanna gave me a garden view. Afterwards some discussion and presenting the booking reservation, they gave us the booked room, with a complementary dirty bathroom (toilet seat included), dirty sheets, dirty floor, and even after asking for some cleaning, the toilet stayed the same... I can suppose the dirt was incrusted! In addition we even got cockroaches in the room. Please check the pictures. The bed was so uncomfortable that had holes in both sides. Please check the pictures again. Neither can I say that I had enough mosquitos to keep me awake for the night. Well I can say that after this experience, off one awful night, I kindly ask for a refund of 2 night of the 4 that I reserved, but you all know, unreachable staff and restrictive policies, didn’t get me very far way, I got an offer of an upgrade on a kind off new dirty new place and you are “free to go”... If you like to sleep in a dirty, noisy (A/C included) and uncomfortable room this is the best hotel for you. I don't recommend it not even to my worst enemy.
