When we arrived things immediately started to go downhill. We walked in the room and there was a musty smell. It was obvious the room hadn’t been cleaned. There were crumbs on the couch, the floor was dirty, there was trash on the floor in the bedroom, and the sheets on the bed were wet. Initially we were going to just clean it up and over look these things because the room wasn’t overly expensive and we figured you get what you pay for. But then we walked in the bathroom and there was a foul smell and mold on the ceiling. We went to the office to discuss it with the employee working there. She said that there were no rooms to transfer us into and that we could leave, but there would be no refund if we left. She did say that there was a room becoming available the next day that we could be transferred into. We felt as if we had not choice but to stay the night and transfer the next day. The next morning we went to the office to speak with the manager. She immediately had an attitude with us. She said that she couldn’t transfer us and that she couldn’t provide any compensation for the conditions. She said there must be a leak and that no one has complained before. She said she would send maintenance in to look for the leak and replace the ceiling tiles. While she was offering to work on the problem, the fact of the matter is that it was still going to be an inconvenience and she refused to to offer any compensation for that inconvenience and for the fact that we still had to spend the first night in the room with mold in it. Also, it was clear it had been leaking for sometime and housekeeping should have noticed it sooner so that the issue could’ve been addressed before we checked in. We were also quite concerned because yes, the ceiling tiles needed replaced, but there could potentially be mold elsewhere inside the ceiling. The manager had such a poor attitude and was extremely rude and dismissive of our concerns.
No one came into the room to make the beds, we didn't get clean towels until the sat and they were outside our room on a chair.

Room was dirty, kitchen was dirty, beds were aweful and borderline dirty, we slept on towels..pillows were dirty , old and badly stained. No remote for TV in the room.
The front desk person was efficient and pleasant, and flexible. The quality of the rooms was great for the location and price. I’ve stayed at many hotels in Wildwood and this is my new favorite! The housekeeping / maintenance staff were all really great and very friendly—as were the other guests....
