Breakfast was excellent, hotel location also excellent.
Came back on last day after it had been raining all day, we were not very warn and shoes were wet, the only heating was a tiny electric radiator which was neither use nor ornament, apart from that all very good.
A comfortable hotel welcoming families, couples, single travellers and those attending for business purposes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Included breakfast very good - hot buffet, excellent quality. Evening meals in a relaxed environment with a good choice of menus. The hotel is slightly away from the town centre, but a bus stop is very nearby for those not wishing to walk into town. Parking available at the hotel. The first bedroom I was shown to was, I felt, not suitable for me; very promptly an alternative room was arranged. Used the Spa facilities - excellent. As a single traveller, I felt very relaxed in this hotel. Loved the vegetarian lasagne on the menu and still hoping to get recipe from Chef.....
The swimming pool ! Not the fault of the hotel, but now having to conform to 1.2 m being the 'deep end'. Because of this I didn't use it. One evening the restaurant service was, unusually, slow - clients on tables for 4 people were not served all at the same time, Many of the bedrooms are only accessible by relatively steep stairs and this should be emphasized beforehand plus I would have liked to have seen, in the public-area toilets, facilities for 'disabled' clients. A wider range of teas in the bedroom would have been appreciated also the possibility of fresh milk (a small thermos jug would suffice).
everything was comfortable and stress free, easy on the bus to town centre, cheap taxi back at night.ideal.
Loved the facilities and sauna was a bonus
the staff all very friendly, breakfast was well planned out its the seconded time i have been there and i find it great.
