Was looking for something a little better than the 2 and 3 star hotels in the area. This place had great charm in both the main lodge area and the rooms. Very nice decor and things in the main lodge to make you feel comfortable. Could easily be the place to go in Waynesville if more attention was paid to basic maintenance. Pros (+) My room was very quaint. Lots of woodwork and flannel print. This is a great spot for a fall getaway. The food at breakfast was delicious. This is a two person show and for two people they do a really good job.
Cons (-) No ice machine (at least that I could find) Bed wasn't terrible comfortable. Only very small heater in room that was a little difficult to manage. Either too hot or too cool.
