Check-in was a disaster. When I booked the flight, I thought that it included a carry-on bag but they ended up having us pay to check-in our bags. Our outbound flight included the carry-on so I didn’t understand why our inbound flight did not.
Pros: Rude racist
Cons: Service
Cons: Give clear information as to what is included in reduced fair. A small carry on should always be allowed without additional charges. And they didn’t seat my partner and I next to each other, wanted to charge to put us together, and the seat was empty.
Pros: Nothing is worth mentioning
Cons: Charged $45 for carry on baggage. And this was only asked at the gate. No water or drinks were provided in context of possible turbulence. Do not recommend this flight at all. Stay clear of it. Pay the extra and travel Sky or Latam.
Pros: It was a basic flight. You can only carry on a personal item, no roller bags without extra costs.
Cons: We paid for tickets only to find out at check-in that we would have to pay another $165 USD for printed boarding passes and two carry-on bags. I understand budget airlines, but that price for two pieces of paper and two carry-ons is absurd.
Cons: They are very unkindness and too much pay hidden cost. Never use this company. Never!!!! .......
Pros: Good
Cons: Good
Bad
Pros: Nothing
Cons: We could not check in we had to wait that is not good we didnt have a chanse to eat never flying agin with that air line
Plane being delayed
Pros: That I received email it was going to be late
Cons: Having my dad waiting for his flight. He’s elderly and now he looks tired this morning from being at the airport for over 8 hours
You can’t like a flight that forgets all passengers luggage
Cons: They did not put any of our luggage on the plane and we had to wait for 2 hours for it to arrive on the next flight.
Pros: Great thank you
Pros: Pleasent
Cons: Price should be lower
Pros: It was good just some turbulence
Cons: Turbulence
Cons: Worst airline ever! Had to pay to print boarding pass and for carry on baggage, although this seemed to be applied only to gringos. Don't ever fly Viva Air.
Awful experience ever
Pros: Nothing. There’s no food offered since it’s a 1 hr and 15 minute flight you have to buy it. Twice our flight was delayed even after we purchased the departure time to be 6:05am to arrive in Cusco before the 8:25am train leaves.
Cons: The one thing that really was terrible about this airline is that not only was our departure late but we were suppose to leave Cusco at 8:05 am and our flight was delayed 7 hrs with 2 small children and they didn’t even offer you water as a Curtisy of being late. This airline or any Peruvian airline is garbage, please splurge on a decent airline that will at least give their passengers water. I really would like my money back but they wouldn’t even give me anything because it’s not ‘there fault’.
Cons: Had to buy ticket again because we were supposed to have online tickets beforehand, and I failed to do this because I never saw any notification to the effect.
I'm not flying with Viva Aerobus again.
Cons: An airline that charges if you go over 10kg as overweight luggage on carry on (about 30%-35% upcharge to the airline ticket). They have a security personnel actually verifying weights to charge the additional fee. An airline that doesn't allow you to board with coffee. I've been traveling quite heavily for the past 11 years, and it's the first airline that has this policy for a 1hr flight. Ridiculous.
Pros: Everything. No complaints.
Cons: In cabin was not very cool
Cons: service
Worst
Pros: Nothing
Cons: They lost All fligth luggage, and they didn't Say anything 4 days after and didn't give ya answer
Airline sucks
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Cons: Flight time was changed prior to the trip to be about 5 hours later than when I booked. Lost a whole evening of my vacation and arrived at 1 a.m.
Worst airline ever
Pros: Getting off the plane
Cons: Their staff was extremely rude in Guadalajara. They threatened to not let us on the plane just for wanting to take some shoes out of our bag prior to checking the bag in. The front desk person got upset out of nowhere just because he briefly had to wait for us to remove the shoes from the bag. He then purposely issued us tickets for three that were all spread away from each other when we were originally suppose to sit together. The flight was delayed for 4 and a half hours. Every 30 mins they would add another 30 mins to the delay. Made it nearly impossible to know when we were going to board. The flight attendant on the plane wouldn't allow me to get up to use the restroom until everyone was on board. I have bladder issues, so that was not ok. The flight attendants were rude as well. No one seemed to enjoy their job on that flight. The overall quality of the plane was pretty bad. They advertise having the newest planes, but that was by far the oldest and most run down plane that I've been on. No leg room at all, and the seats do not recline at all. Made it a very tight squeeze. Never flying with VIVA AEROBÚS ever again.
Cons: The worst customer service I have ever experience. Also Kayak failed to give me the details of this flight and ended paying a lot of money for getting our boarding passes and checking in two bags. VivaAereobus charged us for printing boarding passes when I wasn't even allowed to check-in online. Terrible experience but also I blame Kayak for not giving me the details when I purchased my ticket.
Pros: Good price
Cons: Flight did not leave on time although my email said it did. There was no entertainment. My bag was marked fragile and I had many things broken when I looked in it after the flight.
Tip: Boarding Gates
Cons: All flights are listed as gate B at MEX until they're assigned a gate. But that doesn't sometimes happen until 20 mins before the flight takes off. Or in my case, never. So check in with information 25-30 mins before departure so they can tell you the gate. Mine was never posted, and the signage at the gate was listed a different city. So be sure to ask over & over again!
Very uncomfortable seats
Cons: Male crew member was rude, bags took forever to come out. The seats are the most umcomfortable seats, they don't recline
Pros: Staff was friendly & helpful.
Deanne
Cons: We had to pay for boarding pass . Which was a surprise ad there was no notification in booking the flt that there was a charge, ,seats small and cramped no room to enen fold your legs . Very uncomfortable flight.
On board Viva Air Peru flights, cabin baggage should not exceed 55x45x25cm. If your hand luggage is bigger, the Viva Air Peru assistance team will most likely ask you to pay extra for checked luggage.
KAYAK is a travel search engine, meaning that we continuously look across the web to find the best deals for our users. With over 2 billion flight queries processed yearly, we are able to display a variety of prices and options on flights from all airlines, including Viva Air Peru.
Scheduling all flights through its operating hub in Lima, Viva Air Perú joined the South American aviation market in 2017. Focusing mostly on domestic services within Peru, flights are available to more than 10 separate destinations across the country. International routes are also offered to Colombia.
Viva Air Perú positions itself as a low-cost carrier and provides customers with streamlined amenities. It is owned by Irelandia Aviation group, which also founded similar budget carriers such as Viva Air Colombia, Ryainair and Allegiant Air. Partnership with these airlines has helped the airline strengthen its position within the market of budget-conscious travelers.
The carrier operates exclusively Airbus planes in its fleet. Models such as the A320-200 and A320neo are preferred, with their short-to-medium distance design ideal for scheduled routes within South America. The aircraft are capable of carrying approximately 180 passengers. You will find the fleet decorated in a simple white color scheme that has red, yellow and blue dots.
All customers are seated within a singular Economy cabin. This means that everyone is treated equally. Upgraded fares are available, which increase the amount of checked baggage and ticket alteration flexibility. Depending on the chosen fare, passengers are allowed at least one piece of carry-on luggage weighing up to 6 kg (approximately 13 lb). Viva Air Perú offers seat selection as an optional service, with 18 seats featuring additional legroom at the front of the cabin and in the exit rows. Note that the cabins are set up in a 3 x 3 configuration, meaning you may want to select your seat if you want to avoid being in between two people.
