The location is great as it is both close to the nearest train station but also 5 minute walking distance from the center of the city.
The beds where uncomfortable and also 2 singles. They did not have a minibar. Very expensive for what it was. Mediocre breakfast.
after hours travelling, arriving on a rainy dark evening, i would have been ok with almost anything. this was the smallest room and saddest room i have ever had in a hotel. And the breakfast had a pretty good selection but the first bite of eggs... i had eggshells in. kind of lost my appetite. the staff was not welcoming, not when i arrived, not when i left. I don't expect a handshake or a hug, but a smile would have been nice.
Not many food choices for vegetarians.
Located very close to railways station and centre of town. Very helpfull and friendly staff, free car park. This is not a 5 star hotel, but I would use it again for overninght stay in Venlo. Internet was working very well, however network was not password secured.
Single rooms were very simple and bit outdated, on the other hand they had everything what was needed for 1 night stay. Breakfast was average - no any vegetables, just boiled or scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, plus small selection of cheese. Nothing spectacular but OK to start a day. Very good coffee.
The location is near to the city center. We stayed with 3p. The room was very spacious, well furnished and clean. The staff was friendly and relaxed. Some parts of the hotel were a bit dated but that's just charming. It's a well known and historic hotel in Venlo. We drank some recommended (and very nice) wine at the hotel bar. We had booked breakfast for the three of us plus 2 extra's who did not stay at the hotel. It was no problem at all to book for 2 extra persons and they too enjoyed a very nice breakfast. Fresh bread (very tasty!), eggs, bacon, yoghurt, fruit etc.
The coffee at the breakfast-buffet was not my cups of tea ;) I prefer some fresh pot.
