Pros: The property was definitely a perfect getaway from the city . It s located right next to a few famous onsen and many shops nearby . The property was beautiful and full of history with a beautiful garden . The staff were all v attentive and polite ! Perfect getaway !
Cons: All Perfect
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Historical background and very interesting architectural design.
Cons: None
10,0 Excellent
Pros: One of the most impressive experience during our two weeks journey in Japan. Only arriving to the location we discovered it belongs to the Relais Chateau association. And it really deserve it. Top old japanese building with a beautiful japanese garden. Big and clean inner onsen (with the possibility to visit all the onsen in town thanks to a special pass). The best thing probably was the dinner: 2 hours and a half enjoying a superb meal dressing beautiful kimono in our spacious tatami room, served by a kind japanese girl (in kimono as well). It worth all the money we have spent.
Cons: All perfect. It's 15 minutes far from the station but a shuttle to/from the hotel is available. Anyway the road along the canal is beautiful and pleasurable to walk.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Authentic Japanese experience in a mineral spring spa called an onsen. Staff was very attentive and helpful and they carefully explained how to use the spa and what is expected. We were served a 10-course meal in our room and slept on futon mats with a gorgeous view of the Japanese garden. Unforgettable experience!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: More an experience than a stay.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is the traditional japanese one, a real experience but might not meet everybody's tastes. The staff is super friendly and helpful, highly dedicated.
Cons: Perhaps having the possibility to choose between the traditional japanese breakfast and a western one could be better.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I travelled alone in Japan for two weeks staying in hostels and 'capsule hotels'. I decided to splash out on this wonderful Ryokan and was not disappointed. I stayed for 2 nights and tried to book another night, it was booked up! I was floating around in a gown and slippers in between my room and the inhouse hot springs. The service was AMAZING and I had breakfast in my room each day (Japanese and Western-style) which was delicious I would highly recommend this hotel....as it was the best place I have ever stayed!
Cons: Nothing!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Doesn’t look as grand as other ryokan on the outside, but the inside is simple yet gorgeous, but also very comforting. The private onsen is also very nice to have, I soaked in them alone most of the time. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The cost, but honestly you get what you pay for. The hospitality, the decor, the services, everything was great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The total package had exceeded our expectations. This property has taken hospitality to another level. The architecture of the property, its ambience, the personalized in-room dining service and the onsen's temperature were all perfect. Of course, the dinner and breakfast were awesome!
Cons: No issues.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Nishimuraya Honkan was superb in every respect: location, accommodations, friendly and helpful service, dining/cuisine Absolutely flawless.

Cons: Absolutely nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great place! The owner and staff was super friendly and really made our trip extra good. The food was also great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I had such a terrific experience here despite not staying in Kinosaki too long. I had a horrible day prior to arriving with Morizuya due to train delays and getting there so late. Despite me arriving so late, I was still picked up personally at the station and dinner was prepared for me despite me insisting not to do so since I didn't want to be an inconvenience. The service was so lovely and the attention of the host was perfect. The room was comfortable, the food was absolutely delicious, and the location is terrific as well. I will definitely be back again, and I recommend this Ryokan to anyone desiring an amazing Japanese experience from Kinosaki.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: It was just the perfect stay thanks to the both incredible hosts and their very nice guesthouse. And the food was excellent. Thanks for the amazing stay.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at Morizuya. They exceded my expectations as staff was very welcoming and friendly. The owner of the ryokan made me feel I was part of his family. On my arrival, I was offered a tea ceremony which I really enjoyed. The owner's mum is a tea ceremony teacher who loves welcoming people. I really enjoyed talking to her and getting to know about her and Kinosaki.
Cons: There is nothing I disliked.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff Food Position
Cons: Nothing. Everything is perfect!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful experience. The owner speaks a very good English (the staff don't, but somehow they manage to communicate
Cons: -
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The Food was amazing. The staff was very helpful in finding places and how to get there.
Cons: Even though the food was very good, crab was served literally every meal time which was a little bit too much.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was superb, the onsen pass provided and the yukata to wear (I had lots of compliments from people), the private outdoor hot bath. There are so many things to love, and especially the staff and the charming owner family! It adds charm and authenticity to the Ryōkan knowing that these people have been doing this for 8 generations (200years). Would definitely come back again, no hesitation.
Cons: There is absolutely nothing that I could even think of complaining about. This is a top-class Ryokan where you feel that every need is covered.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staying at Morizuya was a memorable experience! The hosts were very thoughtful and kind. The welcome tea ceremony dressed in beautiful yukata was a highlight! And we enjoyed our room which was a very comfortable place to relax and make yourself at home. The on-site Onsen was also great and the position of the ryokan in beautiful Kinosaki Onsen could not be better. I hope to revisit this wonderful place again!
Cons: Nothing!

Overview Reviews
The Tsuchiya Ryokan offers a pleasant stay in Toyooka for those traveling for business or leisure. The hotel is just 1km away from JR Kinosaki-Onsen Station. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Yamada family has done a terrific job rehabilitating a former fire station. The architecture alone is worth five stars. I must commend the family for their welcoming attitude and attempt to meet one’s needs.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Private onsen, great coffee, quick check in/out process, incredible staff and very comfortable. We were so well taken care of and will be coming out here again in the future. We were even given a ride to the station when it was raining without having to ask. I love this place and expectations were exceeded in every way. I recommend this place to everyone, it was so personal and professional. My husband and I had the best time here.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was perfect.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This is a really lovely ryokan in the beautiful town of Kinosakionsen. As the name suggests, it's an annex to the original ryokan which is directly across the street. Utsutori was an old fire station which has been beautifully transformed into a ryokan, and the owners are rightly proud of it. It's very new, having only been opened in late 2018, it is in excellent condition and is exceptionally clean throughout. The staff are warm and friendly and could not have been more helpful. The European breakfast was lovely. The private onsen is very nice, but we didn't use it a lot due to the other fabulous onsen in the town.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Incredibly warm and hospitable staff who were really kind to our family. When it was time to leave, they even wrote us a huge card with notes from each staff and sketches of the places we had visited (all hand drawn). Location is superb, 3 of the 7 onsens are within 5 mins walk from the ryokan. Rooms were clean and comfortable. There is a private bath and public baths that you can use as well. All the usual amenities for ryokans in Kinosaki are provided.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: That it was reasonably new, fresh & clean. That the staff were friendly & happy to have guests staying.
Cons: Absolutely nothing

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel attendants were very patient and helpful to clarify how things worked at a Japanese onsen as well as how the town operated. They provided a wonderful set of refreshments when you arrived. Both the Onsen and the dinner was fabulous. And it was extremely helpful how this entire city operates with you being able to store the luggage in the town center while you are waiting for your train after you have checked out. Everything ran very smoothly!
Cons: I'd just suggest explaining how all the different shoes work. The hotel provides great explanation about the dress and the correct way to wear it but I didn't know which shoes to wear in the room versus to the onsen versus going out if the hotel to the public bath.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff very kind, nice room, beautiful onsen
Cons: Everything was nice
7,1 Good
Pros: This was a splurge for us on the trip. The staff were very attentive on arrival and we were brought a welcome afternoon tea in our room on arrival. Our staff stayed with us to explain how the hotel works and how to use the onsen. That was lovely. The room was wonderful and we had yukata and kimonos to wear. The hotel onsen was so beautiful and the lobby area was lovely to spend time in.
Cons: We loved everything about it. Our only feedback was that it appeared as if it was a boutique hotel but it is absolutely huge! The buffet breakfast room seated about 150 people!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent Loved that they made an effort to supply some western food at breakfast
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff and Onsen and room
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very peaceful and relaxing. The atmosphere was serene.
Cons: Nothing
7,5 Good
Pros: Onsen was super nice, friendly staff
Cons: brealfast room had no charme. unfortunately, pool area was closed so that there was no possibility to enjoy the nice weather outside. dinner very expensive
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious and nice, the traditional clothing offered to wear for hotspring were of very good quality and food is awesome.
Cons: There was no power point converter
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The private onsen at the hotel open late was very nice. The room had nice view of mountain. You can walk around in your robe and have breakfast then go to onsen and not leave the property.
Cons: This is a ryokan so traditional. But didn’t like that the bed is not there during the day because sometimes I wanted to lay down or take a nap and no bed. They make it each evening and put away in morning. And there is no couch just chairs in the room. Also you need two pads to make three bed comfortable enough.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed everything at Yamamotoya! After we got out of the JR station, there is a free bus to take you to all the onsen hotels in town and Yamamotoya is one of the stops. Two staff were waiting for us at the bus stop and helped us put our luggage in our room. A staff member helped us with check in and gave us a brief introduction to this hotel and all the hot springs in this town.Very spacious and comfortable room. We tried their own hot spring first and it was very good: clean, quiet and we were the only guests there :). We went to 3 other onsen places with the pass and they were all great. Kinosaki is one of the most comfortable, beautiful, friendly towns I have ever been and I would definitely love to recommend this place to others. And a special shout out to Miss Ma (a Chinese speaking staff) for her service!
Cons: Nothing!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Has quite a luxurious feeling with the super attentive staff and large beautiful rooms. The location is perfect too. Our room had a really nice view of the main street. And they provide yukatas and sandals for all guests to wear during their stay.
Cons: It's a bit pricey. Also pillows could be softer.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The service, the cleanliness, the food!
Cons: We liked everything!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very considerate service and staff. Beautiful!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location spaciousness, peacefulness, atmosphere, little garden to look out on to. Nearness to seven onsens to visit. Attentive staff. Own onsen was good too. Staying at this place was one of the highlights of our holiday in Japan. The town is magical (though it is very hard to find other than bar snack food by mid evening - we loved the seafood restaurant half way on the right hand side towards the station, open later and excellent food - you can’t miss the way the menu is promoted in big posters all around the walls, lovely staff there too and is well supporter by locals).
Cons: Felt our room, though very comfortable and extremely spacious, needed a bit of an upgrade, especially in the bathroom area which looked tired and dated. Thinking of the avocado green hand basin, torn wallpaper behind toilet and stained carpet in little sitting area by garden outlook.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing service and wonderful experience. Loved the traditional dinner and breakfast service in the room.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing experience! Definitly my favorite stay in Japan! You will see people wear Yukata all around the town and you can as well. Yamamotoya offers the basic yukata for free! Staying here is a perfect start to enjoy the traditional Japanese stlyle of room, onsen, food and culture... Caring staff with attentive service, they are truely working on every details to make sure you are happy here, they even give you advice on traveling, if you'd like to chat. Can't think any better... Highly recommed!
Cons: Too great that I don't wanna leave...
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, amazing private onsen, really nice staff, great food, typically Japonese and zen atmosphere, great public onsen then in the direct neighborhood. Wonderful stay, we recommend a lot!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Kinosaki Onsen is an amazing place to just rest one's soul and just be in the present moment. Kinosaki Yamamotoya is highly recommended. Excellent location. Hospitality is impeccable and I was blown away. The staff are so attentive and helpful. Room is spacious. Meals so fresh and tasty. Beds so comfy. Iove the in-house Onsen too. I will want to return asap.
Cons: Nothing.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: our Dinner and Breakfast were fantastic. And to sleep on a Futon is an amazing experince.
Cons: There english is not the best but with our limited Japense we could help them out a bit. So communication was dificult but they could answer all our question
9,6 Excellent
Pros: This ryokan provided us with the complete Japanese onsen experience! It was the highlight of our trip to Japan!! The room was large and comfortable; decorated in typical Japanese style. The staff is just unbelievable!!!...looking after anything you would need. This onsen is not located in Toyooka...it's in a small, beautiful town called Kinosakionsen...it has it's own railway station; so it's very easy to get to...just don't get off in Toyooka. The town has 7 bath houses that you have access to and Sensui has 3 private bathing rooms on site. The food was authentic; so you need to dive in and immerse yourself in the experience...you won't regret it. This was great value when compared to others in the area...highly recommended
Cons: It could not have been better

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice staff that really took care of us. Amzing facilities with private ryokans and an astonishing breakfast. Good location in town with a few minutes walk to the closest public onsen.
Cons: Didn’t have ant complaints. It’s a traditional ryokan so the building is old but thats part of the experience.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very close to the train station. Comfortable room and nice private onsen. Wonderful Japanese traditional breakfast. We will go back again.
Cons: None
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and comfortable room, amazing private Onsen and public Onsen pass.
Cons: Very little, the place was lovely and relaxing. The food was unusual for British guests and it would have been nice to know a little more about what we were eating, even just the names and order to eat on a piece of paper! We felt pressured to wear Japanese dress which could be fun if you like that kind of thing, but felt a bit inappropriate for us.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the staff and the facility. The location was super convenient. You will be very happy!
Cons: Check in flexibility.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful staff and close to the station
Cons: If the other guests are loud, the walls are a little thin.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I loved our stay Mikuniya Ryokan. The food was delicious, the staff was lovely, and the whole experience was incredible! We’ve never felt so full and relaxed in our lives. It’s close to all of the onsens, but we also really liked using the private onsens. We enjoyed nightly walks and explored the cafes and shops in our yukata. We really feel like we got more than we paid for! I would recommend this place to friends and family.
Cons: We have no complaints. Looking forward to staying here again!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was so good -- so much food! But it didn't have coffee :( But that's okay because it was a traditional Japanese breakfast.
7,5 Good
Pros: Excellent location ( 3 min walk from the train station) , excellent food for both dinner and breakfast , clean and we absolutely fell in love with the private onsen with the direct view on the private garden .

Pros: I really enjoyed my relaxation stay here, as I wished I stayed here longer! I like the fact that they have shuttle bus that transport you freely to other onsens nearby! Additionally the gesture of offering us bicycles to explore the city! The scenic of the traditional Japanese gardens and room was phenomenal! I would like to thank you the staff for making our holiday a pleasent one :)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The peaceful environment in the complex is enjoyable and the dinner was delicious. Staff is very helpful. Complimentary shuttle is very convenient.
Cons: Nothing.
7,5 Good
Cons: Outside the riokan, seems to be a parking but inside is much more better. Maybe planting more plants at the entrance?
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice and traditional
Cons: The futon could have been a little more comfortable but that could just be me being used to western beds
4,2 Okay
Pros: Not much, staff were nice?
Cons: Terrible location, but they had free shuttle service pretty much the whole time. The room I picked was terrible, but that's really my fault for not doing enough research as I spontaneously decided to visit Kinosaki. The room was horribly overpriced it's almost comical.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Overall it is a five stars service. Staff is very helpful. They try as much as they can to communicate and assist. The onzen in the property probably better than the public onzen in the meca route. The hotel is picturesque.
Cons: The location is a bit far from the city, they have shuttle bus, but as a foriegner it still a bit difficult to communicate.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Since most of the information for this onsen is not easy to find online or is in Japanese, I'm gonna leave a more detailed review to help other travelers. We stayed for 3 nights and we got one of the Japanese style rooms on the second floor with a courtyard view. This was by far our favorite hotel in our trip. The room was beautiful, comfortable and spacious, with a hallway entrance with fridge and kettle, and a sitting area by the window. The bathroom: sink, toilet and wet room are all separate rooms and have all that you need. The futton beds were very comfortable (they put it away during breakfast and set it up during dinner). Has AC and air purifier, also a TV. The ryokan itself is not in the town center, but next to the river with has a cute small bridge. The location is actually pretty quiet and if you take the tunnel underneath the forest (it's on the main road when you walk to town, so easy to spot), you can get to the city center in 5min walk. They also have a shuttle van that you can request to drop you off and pick up from the baths/station. The ryokan is very pleasant, the courtyard is beautiful and the sitting area very cozy with free tea/coffee. The onsen has a big indoor pool and two smaller outdoor pools, very chill and most of the times I had it to myself or there was only a handful of people. The service was outstanding even if not all members of the staff speak English. We had breakfast and dinner at the ryokan and it's a good value for money, with tons of different dishes to try. Since we stayed more than 1 night, they tailored the dinner to our wishes so that we would get something new every day. Their kaiseki (May 2019) mostly focuses on seafood and Tajima beef and was very creative with several ingredients that wasn't expecting. Meals are served in a dedicated area and we had our own dinning room.
Cons: Nothing.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Their welcoming was incredible. We were upgraded to a large japanese room without asking for it. The bath (onsen) is very nice and the whole place is very tastefully decorated. We strolled through Kinosaki at night and it was a wonderful sight, with all the nice lanterns along the canal
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Amazing dinner (as we didn’t book the breakfast, we can’t say anything about it).
8,3 Excellent
Pros: if you want to experience a ryokan with an onsen, you are at the right place. Personnal is friendly. the ryokan isn't in town center but the shuttle was flexible and appreciated. Very nice place to discover a stay "japanise style" (Onsen, room with tatami, diner and breakfast).
Cons: everything is scheduled, we got calls in the room for diner, breakfast, check out.

Pros: Everything was excellent
Cons: Nothing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: A Japanese experience
Cons: Property had a slight smell of fish
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic staff, did their out most and more all the time. Free transport, the staff drives you to town and comes to pick you up.
Cons: Not a big deal but it is a little bit away from the town. Definitely walking distance unless it's cold out.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a vit further away from the town centre so it is really peaceful plus the hotel provides free shuttle and even on foot it only takes about 10-15 minutes. In-house services (like free pedicure and aroma therapy in your room) and hot spring. Most comfortable futon we have ever slept on!
7,9 Good
Pros: The grounds and room are beautiful as are the baths ( although the propane only allowed them to be warm). There is a marvelous chair near the mens bath that can make for a wonderful start or end to the day in Kinosaki Onsen.
Cons: The location required scheduling the property's shuttle van into and back from 'town'. This was the only inn during our 3-week visit of Japan that I had a sense of being gaigin rather than gaikokujin from a young male staff member.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff is helpful, hotel is clean
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff service was excellent
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, great food, we were able to get lifts to town and to the station. Would recommend and go again.

Pros: The hotel staff were extremely helpful. After I checked out from the hotel, I realised that I left behind my camera in the room. At that time, I was already on board a train towards Kyoto. I tired to contact the hotel via booking.com and they were able to assist. The hotel was able to forward the camera to my next hotel in Osaka. The Kaiseki dinner and breakfast was good. The dinner menu comes with English translation.
Cons: The furnishing May look a bit old. But it is still well-maintained.

I love pudding, fish, crab, soup...everything ^o^ Don’t forget to reserve the room with meal. We had dinner and breakfast. It was wonderful. I would like to give more than 10 points. Cons: The location is a bit far from shops and public bath but not much of the problem.

Pros: Staff showed great hospitality. Training must be good. Gorgeous view of seaside from hotel room.
Cons: Facilities a bit tired and showing its age. Can do with some freshening up of facilities.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location. Great value. View of Sea of Japan. Proximity to Sea View marine park. Food. Breakfast and dinner.
Cons: Nothing
8,3 Excellent
Pros: As everyone says, the ocean views are the best part of the experience. The hotel's onsens are amazing. The food (both dinner and breakfast) is very good too. The room is huge - it was nice to relax and look out at the ocean. Free shuttle to and from the hotel to Kinosaki station.
Cons: The staff is friendly but sometimes it's difficult to communicate in English. The hotel and rooms are a bit worn out for such an expensive cost. Even though we arrived only an hour early, they didn't allow check-in anytime before 3pm (most hotels, especially such expensive ones, would allow it if a room has been cleaned already!). I think it's so that we would have to go to the next door aquarium, which is owned by the hotel owner. You get half price discount for the aquarium - it's a nice experience but I wouldn't pay full price for it. It's very small, some pools are very cramped for the animals in there, which is sad.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so kind and extremely patient coz booked a japanese-style room but also wanted to try the western style rooms and they were so kind to change the type of room. The hotel is a little bit far and not on the massive tourist routes but this is part of the charming. We loved to reach the japanese coast "in the middle of nowhere", the perfect place to find peace and calm and feel the nature. The dinner course was amazing (delicious food in general) and the onsen was a plus. So we really enjoyed the traditional japanese culture and also felt super-comfy at the wester room. Also they have shuttle bus to the JR Station on the next village wich is very convenient. Hope to come back soon!
Cons: Nothing. Really had a pleasant stay there. Actually still miss the food and the room... Thank you so much to Kinparo Hotel Staff for their warm attention and patient with foreigners that don't speak japanese and are not so familiar with the japanese culture.

Pros: Everything was perfect. This was my second stay. You can pay reasonable price with best stay.

Pros: Absolutely enjoyed the stay and food here! Staffs were very friendly and helpful all the way. We stayed here for two nights with dinner and breakfast. What must not missed is the Kaiseki dinner - this is a showcase of Japanese cuisine! Thank you Kinparo!
8,8 Excellent
Pros: A well managed seaside resort onsen hotel. Rooms are spacious, tidy, well maintained and with a breath taking seaview The onsen is spacious and clean, with the fantastic seaview. The ramen at the noodle shop is very authentic and highly recommended. It is also right next to the Marine World which offers family with kids an attractive activity.
Cons: Nothing really

Pros: Tatami rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Privacy and personalization topped the list. Excellent onsen and with a view of the ocean made is extremely relaxing. Food was good.
Cons: A little far away from town but for the value of being next to the ocean definitely makes it worthwhile. Noise from the marine life show was a little loud in the day and could be heard in the room.

Pros: the room is larger than the usual. we get free ticket from the hotel to marine world.the Japanese traditional dinner is quite good. very pleasant stay here.
Cons: nothing

Pros: Great location, lovely staff, amazing place to stay and the private baths are great! The dinner was so filling, amazing variety of things!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Dinner and Breakfast in a half board package are fabulous.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Nice small Ryokan with friendly staff. Onsen and meals very good.
7,1 Good
Pros: We came to Kinosaki-Onsen to experience the famous hot springs in town. Tajimaya is a typical Ryokan hotel. We had a spacious room on 2nd floor where first dinner was served and later futon beds were prepared.
Cons: Part of the dinner was a "hot-stone-grilled-steak", the smell of it stayed all night. The hotel was not very flexible: we wanted to take the 8am train to Tottori, so we had to pay in the evening and had to leave without breakfast. The experience at this Ryokan was ok, but it was very expensive. If we would ever come back to Kinosaki-Onsen we would look for another place to stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The real Japanese hospitality at it's best. Great place, amazing generous food, good saké, nice staff... Overall, the best way to rest and relax !
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Service was awesome. All staff are super nice and helpful. Their English is not the best but they certain try their best! Breakfast and dinner menu were great. New yukata provided every day. Free toiletries (hairbrush, face wipes, hair tie, razor, etc.) to go for use when you go to the public onsen houses. The 3 private bathes are great as well - you use your room key to exchange for the key to the bath. The rooms are very well maintained and clean. Bedding was super comfortable. The location is farther from the train station than others, but it's a tiny town so a little walking doesn't hurt at all!
Cons: It does get very cold in the room at night even with the heater on. But I read that it is a typical problem for a lot of ryokan.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great Staffs, Great Service, Great Private onsen, Great foods (Dinner & Breakfast), everything are great!
Cons: none
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly!!!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were extremely polite and helpful, The private baths are convenient, clean and attractive, The breakfast (included) was delicious and traditional, The Kaiseki dinner experience (5000Yen for the smallest option) was incredible!
Cons: We had a little bit of trouble understanding the delightful manager’s English, who checked us in/out, but there were other staff available with stronger English if we needed. It’s absolutely not a criticism of her, nor this fine hotel, but something future guests should be aware of! Apart from that, it was a perfect place to enjoy Kinosaki.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely staff and dinner, excellent location.
Cons: Roomed smelled a little like it was a smoking room.

Pros: The whole experience, especially embracing local traditions
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We loved staying in this traditional style accommodation. It felt very authentic and the staff were lovely.
5,8 Okay
Cons: It was stated on the booking details, there was supposed to be a private bathroom- which was the main reasons why we booked this property, but turns out the private bathroom is located opposite the property and is private for all the guests of the hotel. So its not private for your room. This is misleading and the staff do not really understand conversational english well.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great and comfortable, friendly family run ryokan. We requested the room next to the fish and got it, and it was a spacious two room accommodation which our 2 year old loved. She still remembers the warm greeting with tea and a cookie :), and loved helping feeding the koi fish one morning. It is a convenient location just off the hustle and bustle of the two main roads and made our stay in Kinosaki a most memorable one!
Cons: WiFi doesn't work in the main room, and we only realised it works in the bedroom or communal areas, but this may differ per room. It is not a new ryokan, and you can tell it is a bit dated but having said that it is not dirty either and did not affect our stay.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great service! The best service I received in Kinosaki Onsen. Wonderful traditional breakfast, good Wi-Fi (working in the room), convenient location, cozy hotel in traditional style. The hotel has a beautiful garden with a pond. Great place to relax after visiting the hot springs. Polite and executive staff. I recommend this hotel!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Hotel really spacious, nice friendly staff. Really good location. Includes pass to all of the onsens. Great value for money. 100% recommend.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Service
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect! The town is split in 2 sections. This inn is located between the train station and the 2nd part of town. The village onsens and the really quaint shops are closest to this inn. There are negative comments on the reviews made by people who don't understand what the inn focuses on. The price is waaay less than other traditional ryokans... And being an older inn, the rooms are far more spacious. This place is a little dated, but nothing out of ordinary. It's really wonderful value. Also, the country and town charges an Onsen tax... Not the inn... Regardless of use. Consumers and critics need to understand before they write negative comments. The inn owners do not speak English, but you can communicate with apps and drawing... You're in Japan...you shouldn't blame owners or complain if they don't speak your language. Make sure to enjoy all the sotonoyu - public village onsens... They were better than expected! Loved this experience...
Cons: Nothing. Value was amazing for the product. Breakfasts were awesome and Definitely with more than the charge.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hosts! Top location, closeby everthing: all public onsen & the central street!
Cons: Pity that the free entrance for the public onsen only counts between check inn (3:00 pm) and check out (10:00) counts. When you're travelling with a child that needs to sleep, it's rather cramped. They should chnage teh system to 24 hours. For the price of the room, an included breakfast would be nice.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Japanese ambiance...staff very helpful, they took our suitcases up and down. The onsen is really nice.

Pros: Basic hotel. Don't expect much. Owners speak basic English
Cons: Owners barely spoke English. No one at reception when we had to check out

Pros: The sight from the window
Cons: The bench of the toilet was not well connected to its main body so it slips when one sits on it. And urine leaks out.

8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good view outside the window
Cons: Nothing
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Good bed, nice reception (have to buy Yumepa pass to go to all onsen)
5,0 Okay
Pros: The price was cheap, as opposed to all the Ryokans that were around, so I picked it for one night since I was a bit early on my traveling plans.
Cons: The room that I had was quiet dirty. The carpets were stained. The furniture was stained. The shower curtain had visible mold, as well as the corner of the walls around the bathtub. The smell of sewage was imminent. The person working at the desk, greeting me, was absolutely helpful and his English was impeccable. But I only wished the rooms were cleaner.
7,5 Good
Pros: Near kinosaki onsen station. Sea and rice field view. Private bath room and toilet.
Cons: A bit old room. Smoking smell.
