Overview

In the centre of Tours, overlooking gardens, the Best Western Central Hotel, Tours, France, is a comfortable hotel in a quiet commercial quarter, close to the cathedral, the museums, the concert hall, and the shops, an easy base for the city and the chateaux beyond. The hotel keeps a coffee shop and lounge, a lift, and laundry and babysitting services, with rooms that bring a minibar, a coffee maker, and a workspace, a practical and central place to settle in. The garden outlook keeps things calm in the middle of town. The Gothic cathedral of Saint-Gatien and its stained glass, the old town around the Place Plumereau, and the gardens along the Loire are all close, with the great Renaissance chateaux of Chambord, Chenonceau, and Amboise within a short drive across the valley. For chateaux by day and a lively old town by night, Tours sits right at the centre of it all.
