I and my parents stayed for a week and we enjoyed our stay though we hated the long walk from/to the station but everything is okay. The hostel is near a supermarket where you can buy cheap goods. Also, spacious room is a catch, we were able to manage/fix our stuffs by laying around the floor. Shower room is clean and fantastic though the toilet for women is on the 3rd floor and it was hassle for me and mum to go up and down every time we have to do our business as we stayed on the 2nd floor. But again, the hostel is a gem! Overall good! Will definitely be staying here again in the future. PS. Atsushi is so nice and helpful. He deserves more people to stay in his hostel.
Long walk from/to the station. Toilet for women is on the 3rd floor so if you are staying on the 2nd floor, it would be hassle to go up and down.
The host is amazing! He is helpful and very responsive. He helped us check in earlier and was helpful throughout our stay. My 2 brothers and I had a very good stay!
The room is spacious to Japanesse standard, and provides 3 beds in a room which is rare.
Location is actually quite a distance from the nearest train station. Some pantry utensils need major cleaning and replacement.
I had a very nice visit. This hostel is clean and comfortable. Atsushi is a wonderful host and very accommodating. There is a market a block away that is open late for all your needs.
The staff was so nice. They explained to me in Japanese in which room I'm going to stay at and even asked me if I would like to get my luggage carried to the 3rd floor, which is something that I appreciated because it was so heavy and almost impossible for me. Thus, he helped me and place it in front of my room. The room was amazing. I booked female dormitory with 3 of my friends to stay for 3 nights. It's so wide and has so many space. Great for those who will bring 30+ kg luggages and still have many space left to lie around or getting your stuffs on the floor. The bed also felt really nice. It has duvet and one pillow. The staff placed them on each bed that we have to arranged them ourselves, which is kind of a hassle to those who had a long flight but I didn't mind. It kept me warm and comfy through out the night. The shower room is SO NEAT. As expected from Japanese Bath Unit, it was so clean and dry. They provided a shampoo, a conditioner, and a liquid soap in each stalls. The bath matt is a revolutionary for me because it made from wood but suddenly it dries. Another thing that I love his they provided us a washing machine, drier, and a kitchen with a complete tools such as a refrigerator, microwave, oven, kettle, plates, and an electric stove. All in Japanese language. If you don't have any confidence in Japanese, please ask the staff or Google translate them. It will help a lot. The place is only a few seconds walk to the nearby cheap supermarket that always goes on sale. So it will save tons of your money if you shop in there than in convenience stores. Over all, it's a recommended place to stay for budget travels.
The place did't have a lift. If you bring something heavy to the hostel, please kindly refer your situation to the staff. They will help to carry your items upstairs. The toilet doesn't have any bidet, which is a necessary for me. I had to bring my own whenever I takes my business. The place might kinda far from both Minowa Station and Minami-Senju Station. You have to walk for 11 minutes to reach the place.
