Location on Tokyo station is super - very convenient for travel, and easy to find. Our room had a view of the beautifully restored historic station building, and down into the station - great for people watching. Room immaculate - with the most comfortable bed we experienced in all of our trip in Japan.
Nothing much - though, as others have noted, rooms can be a long walk from reception!
Concierge were incredibly helpful with all plans and ongoing travel. The Japanese buffet breakfast was visually amazing and so delicious.
The walk to our Rm was excessive. Remember to ask to be nearer the elevator for best stay
The finish is beautifully done The staff are fantastic The location was great
The price Beautiful breakfast but pricey ~ $70 a head
Beautiful, convenient and clean
Long corridors, Long walk to room
House keeping was immaculate, concierge (Ms. Saito) was incredibly helpful. She even helped us buy Disneyland tickets, and helped me find my way around tokyo.
The hallways are really long. Toiletries are drying to skin and hair. You can hear the trains in some Hallways
In a city that reinvented itself as a futuristic metropolis studded with skyscrapers, The Tokyo Station Hotel stands as a rare glimpse into the city's pre-war architectural past. The hotel opened in 1915 but has been renovated with European décor that blends the historical grandeur with the convenience of a sought-after location.
The hotel is located within the historic Tokyo Station in Marunouchi, a small commercial district tucked between Tokyo Station and the sprawling Imperial Palace. The popular and historic Imperial Palace Garden and Tokyo Imperial Palace are both within walking distance of the popular Ginza shopping district to the south. A huge advantage for guests is being able to walk directly from the hotel into the station to catch public transportation for easy access to other parts of the city. Haneda Airport is a 20-minute drive or 40 minutes by public transportation.
On-site amenities at the hotel include several French and Japanese restaurants and a great cocktail bar and café. The restaurants are a big draw for guests due to the variety of cuisine. Spa Tokione offers a relaxing getaway with full-service treatment rooms along with a sauna, steam room, and several hydrotherapy pools, including a carbonated hot spring pool, and a cold bath. The attached fitness center offers a full range of cardio and strength training machines but costs an extra fee to use. Business travelers appreciate the well-equipped business center and three flexible banquet halls.
All 150 rooms and suites in the historic Tokyo Station are decorated in classic European décor with big, luxurious bathrooms. Each room features elegant elements and furniture, but all rooms come with standard amenities such as iPod docks, stocked minibars, and mini-fridges. All modern conveniences and necessities are supplied to travelers.
