Great location... easy access to hotel/train Shinagawa-Ku shuttle or minimum taxi fee!
Very good hotel. Set in gardens with waterfall and walking path.
The room was a little smaller than we expected
Staff generally friendly and try hard but nothing to bring us back
Had dramas with checking in , as we were early no real place to have a shower etc . Keys didn’t work then had trouble getting new ones cut so probably off to a a bad start which may reflect our opinion . First impressions do count . No milk for coffee and charged for it when requested restaurant ordinary.
Executive lounge was not equipped up to standard. Far poorer compared to Marriott in other countries.
- Location is very good, although you do need some 20 minutes (walking) to go to the nearest main station. - Hotel is at a 4 star level, and the level of hygiene is very high. - Staff was polite
- Inflexibility with being able to take a plate of breakfast to your room. During business trips one needs sometimes to be able to enjoy breakfast while working at the room. I was only allowed to take some pastries and fruit in a bag, or as an alternative, to order room service and be charged. This is not what I expect from a Marriott hotel, and paying 450 Euros per night - The room didn't feel like a "deluxe" room which is what I had booked. Perhaps the complimentary coffee and water in the room were the only elements reminding me of it. - More flexibility with early arrivals. Although staff provided me with the option of a room when I arrived (at 10:00 a.m.), the latter only had 2 twin beds. Sleeping 10 days in a single bed while paying for a deluxe king-size bed is not really a solution in this case. Staff did not inform me about the particularity of the room, so when I went up I had to see it for myself and request that I'm provided with one single king-size bed. They indicated that they could change my room but I would have to wait until 15:00 hours. I understand that hotels have checking-in times but I believe that a hotel such as this one should have been more sensitive in the case of a traveller that arrived to their establishment after a 12-hour plane journey, and not have kept me without a room for 7 hours.
