Pros: The hotel is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. The staff was very accommodating with transportation options to and from the downtown area. I will definitely return.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the tequila barrel rooms and the views were spectacular.
Cons: For a five start experience I would have expected more help park my car close to the rooms and there was no help with our luggage to the room apon check in. The breakfast was not prepared for 8am and the quality of the buffet was lacking.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Doesn’t get any better for a tequila fan. Barrel cabins, agave plants everywhere. Top quality tequila distillery. Good internet.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The uniqueness of the barrels and the comfort of the room. The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate non-Spanish speaking guests.
Cons: It was advertised when booking that there was a hairdryer in the room. No hairdryer. It was also advertised as having tequila and fruit upon arrival. We each had one shot of tequila and no fruit. If we wanted more tequila, we had to pay to open up the small bottles left in the room. Also, the hot water ran out after one full hot shower.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: I loved the barrel rooms. They were fantastic. It was fascinating overlooking all the different barrels and the agave plants. All the grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed the tequila tour. Simon (I hope that is the correct spelling) was an awesome guide. The next day we had a tequila testing with Simon. He did a very good job explaining the different tequilas. He also referred us to a fabulous restaurant for dinner. He made sure we had transportation there and back. We also found the below ground level restaurant to be very nice. The ambience was fantastic. Unfortunately the food wasn’t the best. I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: I can’t really say there wasn’t anything that I disliked.
6,3 Good
Pros: It’s a great concept and idea however there’s not enough staff for the property.
Cons: If you go when it’s cold the heating doesn’t work properly. The room we stayed at smelt of bleach to the point that we got a bad headache from it. I called the receptionist to tell him about the smell and he just said he will tell the housekeeping team but he didn’t offer to change our room.

Pros: WiFi is pretty much non existent
Cons: Perfect location. Friendly stall. Free drinking water.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: Staff is really unfriendly , pillows were bad wrap in a plastic making it uncomfortable to rest
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very easy to talk to. I opted to communicate in Spanish, but that was a personal choice. That said, it seems like most of their business (at least during the off season when I was there) is based on domestic tourism. The price is absolutely phenomenal. I enjoyed hanging out in the courtyard area between the front desk and rooms. My simple room was very peaceful and tranquil.
Cons: Sound carries in this lovely old structure, so it could be affected by loud guests. This was not an issue during my stay. I did hear cleaning noises (vaccuum, etc) fairly early (maybe 8am or so?), which could be an issue for some. My room had a window, but it just looked across a narrow walkway at brick wall. It definitely felt private!
4,6 Okay
Cons: Check in time clearly says 13:00 hrs but I was kept waiting until 14:00hrs as there was no room available. I didn’t get an apology or nothing. I also had to pay more than the price on my reservation as I was charged another extra TAX besides the other TAX already charged, resulting in a significant PRICE INCREASE on the booking total. The streets around the property a full of potholes so, to get to the property was a challenge.
7,5 Good
Pros: Location is great and secure!
Cons: The noise from the people hanging out in the lobby bar is loud like the other comments mention.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: The location was great and the room was very clean.
7,0 Good
Pros: It was at a great location, a good price, and very clean.
Cons: Church bell woke me up at 6AM, wifi only worked in the lobby area, and hot water didn't work that well.

2,9 Mediocre
Pros: The towels
Cons: Hotel Casa Dulce María is the best example of: “When expectation meets reality”, first you got to recognize that they had a really good photographer for the brochure, cause the rooms are not as magical as they look in the photos, the rooms are small, my god the hooks of the closets are made of wire ¿really?, the lamps, well lamp is ugly as hell, I think the difference between a bad and a good Hotel is about the details and in Casa Dulce María, they don’t put a single effort in taking care of them, they don’t even had a bell boy to carry your suitcase, when its suppose to be four stars, they don’t had a nearby parking lot, is 3 blocks away or more, they don’t give you a shampoo or even a soap kit, ¿can you believe it?, there’s only a dispenser with a generic soap for body and hair, there’s dust in the windows and every corner, they only give a bottle of water, by the way not a brand water, even the waste baskets don’t accomplish the minimum standards, but the worst thing of all is that they sell it to you as if it was a Boutiquishhhh Hotel, which is far from being one, not even the location is worth it cause is 3 blocks from the main square, but also surrounded by bad quality bars that won’t let you sleep by night, my grade for this hotel considering the price and what really offers you, it would be a 4.0 ¡That’s it! No exaggeration, the moment I enter the room I asked the girl in charge, if I could cancel my reservation, they won’t let me of course. P. D The first photo that appears in the brochure where you see the agave camp should be remove for ethical reasons, and instead they should put the real picture of the front of the building and the street where is located.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is a gorgeous little hotel in the classic Mexican style. The location is superb - withon easy walking distance to all attractions.
Cons: None of the staff speak English. This made it impossible to get any information about local.Tequila Tours. Breakfast was not available either morninf.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: Close to town center
Cons: It was noisy at night because there is a bar nearby. And the price I paid through booking was double than the rate they have at walk in.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: beautiful place, decoration, style and people
Cons: walls are very-very thin, so you can hear everything that is being said or done next door and outside - it can be a problem for some (not a problem for me, but I still noticed it a lot)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I am a repeat customer. Place is safe, handy, clean no frills but predictable . Perfect when I came alone as a single older lady, perfect this time with my husband and another couple.
Cons: Beds are typical for Mexico which happens to be a little harder than I would choose.
