Breakfast was great. Location is a little off the beaten track - 20+ mins to walk to nearest pub for a meal. Host was extremely friendly.
Excellent poached eggs on toast for breakfast. Nice room, bathroom and comfortable bed.
I didn't realise at first that the cheaper rate we paid meant we didn't get the full english breakfast - only read that on a card in the room later on. Might have been nice to have been told specifically and possibly offered the chance to upgrade!
The guest house was (as should be expected) in a lovely rural setting with all the sounds of the countryside. It has a rustic character which we loved ...so far from the sterility of city hotels. It was very clean and well furnished and we felt at home. There were steep steps to the room and we had to watch our heads but this was all part of its charm. Our host was welcoming and provided delicious scrambled eggs even though it was advertised as only a continental breakfast.
It was a very hot night and there was no fan in the room. We found this to be a common occurrence in England. To be fair to our host, we did not ask for one. I suspect that if we had she would have done her best to provider one.
Very pleasant quiet location charming cosy house , welcoming hostess, excellent facilities, very recommended
Good breakfast, lovely room, beautiful gardens.
Having my door knocked 10 minutes before official checkout time to remind me I needed to leave. It made me feel unwelcome and spoilt what was otherwise a lovely stay.
